Story
I am a big goofy boy who is pretty new to the shelter. My shelter family is still learning about me, but here's what they know so far. I am a SUCKER for a good game of fetch! I LOVE to play ball and will play non stop for hours if you let me. Infact, I love to play fetch so much that if you don't throw my ball for me in .25 seconds when I give it to you, I'll bark and beg until you do! So I REALLY hope you've got a good arm. When I do finally decide to take a break from my favorite game, I'm happy to just be around my people. I enjoy some good scratches and hanging out. I get along just fine with other dogs, but as always, a meet and greet will be required to make sure everyone gets along. If you think you're up for endless games of fetch, stop on in and ask to meet me!

Story
Looking for a ladies man? Look no further, cause I'm just what you need! My shelter family has come to learn that I am not the biggest fan of men. While they are not certain, they do think that a man must not have been so kind to me at some point, which has made trusting men a bit hard for me. I have come to learn to trust a couple of guys with alot of time, patience, and consistant work. It does take me a while to become comfortable with men, and I NEED a person who fully understands that. With that being said, I am in search of a strong, single woman, who only needs one man (me) in her life, or a very confident woman that is willing to put in the time, effort, and training necessary to help me learn how to trust any men that may come into her life in the future. I promise once im confortable with my people i am just a big ol goofy goober! I have played well with other pups I've met so far, and might like a friend in my new home. A meet and greet is always required if you have other dogs in the home to be sure we all get along. My shelter family says I would do best in an adult only home 18+, so no kiddos for me! If you think you might be interested in adopting me, stop on in and ask to meet me!

Story
I am a shy but sweet pup looking for a loving family to call my own. I can be a bit nervous when first meeting new people, but once I know I can trust you, I will begin to let my guard down and show you just how wonderful I truly am! I am a big baby who craves attention and will paw at you and beg you to pet me and give me scratchies (I really love scratchies, especially right between my eyes). I like to think that I'm a lap dog and will half crawl in your lap to give hugs, snuggles, and maybe even sneak some kisses to the people I trust most. I did live with other dogs in my previous home, but as always a meet and greet is required if there are other pups in your home to be sure we can get along. My shelter family thinks I would do best in a home with older kiddos (12+) who are able to understand and respect my boundaries, but again a meet and greet will be required if there are kiddos in the home. If you think we could be a good match, ask to meet me!

Story
I bet you're wondering how a handsome boy like myself wound up here at HAHS. Well, I was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of my own. My owner was no longer allowed to have me where she was living. So here I am, searching for a new family to love me and a home to call my own! I've spent most of my short life outside so I can be a bit nervous and unsure of many new things and people due to this. It may take me a little bit to learn that I can trust you, but once I'm comfortable with you I'll show you just how fun I am! I enjoy playtime, and getting pets and lovins from my favorite people! I sometimes get real super excited during playtime and forget to put on the brakes and have been known to bounce off of and into my hoomans at full speed, OOPS! When I'm not playing human pinball machine, I really enjoy hanging out in the yard with my peeps giving smooches and getting all the back scratches in return. I have not had to much exposure to young kiddos, but due to my bouncy silly boy antics, my shelter fam and my previous owner believed that a home without tiny youngsters would be best for me. It’s possible that I may be able to live in a home with older kiddos (12+), but as always a meet and greet will be required if there are children in the home. I did live with other pups previously, so I may be open to having a k9 friend in my new home, but again a meet and greet will be required if you have other pups to be sure we can get along! My shelter fam also says I'd really benefit from learning some basic obedience and getting some more exposure to new things and people to help with my socialization. My shelter fam is doing their best to get me started on my training, but my new family will need to be willing to continue the work so I can become the bestest boy! If you think I'd make an awesome new addition to your home, please submit an app!

Story
I am a sweetheart, and a really good girl, and I love to meet new people! I’m the type of girl who would enjoy going on lots of long walks and hikes, so if that’s something we have in common, then I’m your girl! I seem to do well with the other dogs I have met so far, but as always a meet and greet is required if there are other pups at home. I have not yet been around any children, but the staff here at HAHS thinks I would do well given I am such a sweet lady. If you think I’ll make the perfect partner for you, then check me out!

Story
This is Griffin! ** approved application required for meet and greet** Intake Date: 11/13/24 Intake type: Surrender DOB: 11/18/2023 Gender: Neutered Male Handsome, intelligent, loyal, Griffin checks all those boxes! Griffin is a special pup who will require a special home. He is an extremely active guy and is always on the go, playing fetch, chasing his herding ball, or enjoying a swim. Griffin needs a family who is able to give him plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to keep him happy and healthy! Griffin's ideal home is one preferably in the country with lots of private land for fun supervised adventures, and a secure fenced in yard where he could safely hang out outside as he pleases and come inside when he's ready. Griffin is extremely loyal to his people, but will require slow, supervised introductions so he can learn to trust anybody new. Once Griff knows he can trust you, he'll be your very best friend!! Griffin can be selective with other dogs, but has been able to make a couple of k-9 friends during his stay here at the shelter. Griff will require a home with with older kids 16+ who are able to understand body language and respect his boundaries. A meet and greet is required for all pups and humans in the home, and multiple meet and greets will likely be needed to see if Griffin will be a good match for you and your family! If you think your home may be a good match for our boy Griffin, please submit an application!
