Story

Ham is a 4 year old XL American Bully (no bully breed option) and is quite scared of the world. He has grown up in a 2 bedroom apartment in a city and up until about 2 years ago was great going outside. Now he is extremely reactive towards the outdoors and timid about most things and people. He takes a few weeks to be comfortable around people but those who he knows he is the sweetest dog I know. The problem is who he is on the outside with others he isn't sure of. He has bitten one person in the past due to not being properly introduced but has had no other initiated incidents. I am looking for someone who specializes in rehabilitation for reactive dogs and caring for them to potentially rehome them.

Nickname: EEEEEEE Meet Ian! This handsome guy is almost 10 months old and ready to find his forever best friends! Ian was originally part of our Shameless litter, who were sadly dumped in rural Louisiana before being given a second chance through the Bissell Pet Foundation. He was adopted from us in February, but as Ian grew, his family realized he deserved more room to stretch his legs and made the heartbreaking decision to return him. Since coming back, Ian has been an absolute gentleman! He loves going for walks, knows his sit, and gets along with sturdy, active kids and other dogs. He even did well with cats in his previous home! Ian has an old eye injury from before he was dumped that doesn’t seem to bother him or cause him any pain, though he may have some limited vision in that eye. Now, this sweet, happy guy is hoping his next chapter is the one that lasts forever! Please come check him out and adopt him today!

Monty is about 70 pounds and is unsurprisingly very active given his breed. He is a big cuddler, enjoys water, and is very ball focused. While he gets along well with other dogs, he can exhibit guarding behaviors about people and home. He would thrive in a home without smaller animals, as he tends to fixate and chase our cats - he has not exhibited any aggression towards them. He has been socialized around children, and while he is friendly he does tend to forget his own size. We would love to see him go somewhere with room outside for him to run.
