Story
This handsome guy is Kirby (50lbs). He was brought in as a stray from the Town of Ithaca, so we unfortunately don`t know much about his history in a home. Here at the shelter, he absolutely loves playing with toys and chewing on them in the company of his volunteer friends. He is a very smart boy and has learned a lot since coming here! If you`d like to give this sweet guy a chance at a happy and loving home, stop by the adoption center Wednesday-Sunday 12-4:30 (Thursday 12-6:30). You can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221(Adoptions Category: LILAC)

Story
What’s your favorite kind of tea? Mr. Teatime isn’t fully trained on proper tea etiquette, but he’s ready to learn! Mr. Teatime is a delightfully sweet pup of eight months old, and whether it’s afternoon tea, high tea or elvenses, he wants to share that time with you! So far, he’s been a good gent while out on a walk, and he’s very curious about the world around him.Mr. Teatime came to us as a stray, so we don’t know much about his history with other animals or young kids in the home, but our Adoptions team would be more than happy to offer some guidance! Visit our adoption center Wednesday-Sunday: 12:00-4:30 PM (Thursday: 12:00-6:30 PM)You can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221

Story
Meet Alvin (12 pounds), a small senior boy looking for a home (and a hula hoop) for the holidays! Alvin can be slow to warm up to new people and tends to be picky about new friends in general. Once he is comfortable with you, be prepared to have a little shadow! With his buddies, Alvin loves to be doted on, held and petted (but please don’t assume he wants your friends to do the same). Since he can`t tell us exactly what his likes and dislikes are, we are looking for humans who can read his body language and advocate for him out in the world when needed. We think his ideal home would be on the quiet side, with adults or older teens only, and without a lot of strangers coming and going. Alvin finds it challenging to share his prized items and people with other dogs, so he may be happiest as your one and only. If you think Alvin is the type of guy you`re looking for, stop by the shelter and ask to meet him! Story
Meet Prince (10 pounds)! This distinguished gentleman was brought to us because his previous owner’s new residence did not allow dogs. For a twelve-year-old, Prince is still spry and willing to follow you wherever you go! He has previously lived with another small dog, but we don’t know if he’s ever lived with cats or kids. If you have a dog already in your home, we can set up a meet-and-greet with your resident pup to see if they get along. Want to meet Prince and see if he’s a match for your family? Visit our adoption center Wednesday–Sunday: 12:00–4:30 PM (Thursday: 12:00–6:30 PM) You can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221

Story
Woah Nella! This girl may not have found her singing voice yet, but she`s sure to win your heart over with those gorgeous eyes and stellar ears! Nella came to us from Louisiana, and has found her time up here just fine, thank you. She`s just so overjoyed to meet you that she`ll be dancing on tippy toes to take you for a walk, but she`s got to slow herself down just a step. Nella`s treatment for heartworm means that her return to fast paced zoomies needs to go at a snail`s pace. In the meanwhile, she`s hanging out with one of our pawesome foster friends, but let us know if you`re interested in meeting her! Story
Meet Rocky (46 pounds)! This sweet boy was brought to us as an owner surrender. In his previous home, he lived with another smaller dog and a young child. They say he’s great with kids!
