Story
Remington is the sweetest boy, it breaks my heart to re home him but he would be happier! He wants attention all the time he absolutely loves humans. He loves to cuddle. He loves other dogs. He has the calmest temperament, but he enjoys to play fetching as his favorite activity as well as swimming. My family works too much and we are involved in many sports with children I feel awful that he is home all the time and I feel he would have a much better life with someone who could give him the time that he deserves. He is extremely smart. He really is the perfect family dog. He is 7

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Kodiak is approximately 3 year old husky/ american eskimo mix. Hes a very hyper dog that has a personality of his own. Lots of licks and lots of love. Hes very shy at first and barks alot but once you are his buddy, he just wants to be with you. We got him from the local shelter approximately 3 years ago and have been trying to train him sense. Overall he is a very smart dog but has his quirks with obedience issues if he thinks he can get away with it. He does not really like the outdoors unless you are by his side and needs lots of toys if he is inside. I would like to see him go to a person/persons that can give him more time than I can outdoors and play with him more. He would probably do best in a house without children or cats due to his energy but we have not really introduced him to children much. Hes chased our cat to play but has never attacked her

Boz

Hound (Unknown Type) Golden Retriever

Male, Young
Apalachin, NY
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Boz is a good dog, however he is not a good fit for our family structure. My young son Emerson has been recently diagnosed with ADHD and is currently taking medication for same. Emerson was five when Boz came to our home, and his sensory challenges were not known at the time. The unstructured energy that Emerson has is not a good match for Boz. Boz does his best to understand the rules of the house, but the chaotic nature of Emerson keeps Boz in more or less a state of confusion. It breaks my heart to see Boz try to fit in and not really be able to figure out how. Only barks if encouraged to. I indicated unknown for the question about being good with kids because Boz has little interaction with other children besides my own. Anecdotally, he got out of the house off-leash last Halloween and ran around excitedly sniffing little kids in their costumes with zero incident, so at least he was unbothered by loud groups of excited children.

Apalachin, NY
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Not good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Penny is 2 years old, her birthday is sometime in January 2024. We originally had taken her in from my family member who had adopted her through a local shelter. We are needing to rehome her because she is no longer getting along with the other dogs in the house. We do know she is good by herself and needs to be an only pet! We have never had any issue with her being aggressive towards us. She is a super playful, crazy, silly, energetic girl, but she also loves cuddles and curling up under a blanket! She is up to date on all her shots and is microchipped. She is house trained, besides maybe the occasional little tinkle when she gets to excited, she’s crate-trained, usually without anything soft in her kennel because she seems to maybe have some separation anxiety and will chew up what’s in the kennel with her! She really is a good girl and will do so good in a house where it can be just her and be with someone who will allow her to be active without being around other dogs.
