Story
Meet this handsome fella named Roscoe! After 4 years of being adopted Roscoe finds himself back at the shelter 3-15-23 when his family could no longer keep him. He was adopted and back as of July 2023. So sad for this sweet guy!! He’s awesome just hasn’t been placed with his right FOREVER family or person yet. He is 6 years old, fully vetted, and keeping his paws crossed that his new family will come to adopt him soon and give him back the home he’s missing. He’s a little bigger now but just as sweet. Seems to get anlong with most dogs and was super gentle with a little child. Adopt Roscoe and give him the very best FOREVER home! Here is Roscoe’s original post: The person who owned Roscoe and several other dogs could no longer care for him so he was brought into the shelter April 15, 2019. He is around 2 years old, current on shots, and full of happiness & unconditional love to share. He loves to go for walks and play in the runners at the shelter. Just a happy go lucky pup who seems like he will make someone or a family a fabulous pup if given a fair chance. Might you have the most perfect loving FOREVER home for sweet Roscoe?! If you have another dog and are interested in meeting another potential new furry member please bring him or her to the shelter and meet on neutral ground before adopting. No need to shuffle the animals around any more than necessary. Please know that 1 mosquito bite can create heart worms and they can be fatal if not treated. It is VERY important to keep your pets healthy and protected by keeping them on a once a month heart worm and flea/tick prevention. These animals are counting on you as their owner to provide them with lots a love and the proper health care so PLEASE make sure you are aware and prepared before adopting. Owning a pet is an extra expense and responsibility but is so worth every minute and penny you invest in them. They will add lots of joy and unconditional love if given a fair chance. The shelter is open Mon.-Fri. 10-1, 2-5 and Sat. 10-4. Adopt a homeless pet and save a life. If you can not adopt right now come out and volunteer and make a difference in the lives of these animals while they await their FOREVER home.

Story
Hey guys my name is Lavender! I originally came into the shelter May 21, 2021 when my family was moving and couldn’t take me along with them. I was so sad and upset when they brought me to the shelter but have made so many friends with the volunteers and staff and have adjusted to my new temporary home. I was adopted out (for ~6 months) and I really loved my human mom but after another dog came to my fence and neighbor was upset mom said she didn’t want something to happen that put me in a bad situation so I came back to the shelter. Wow what a blow that was because I thought I really had my FOREVER person and home. She was so sad too. I love to have a good time and absolutely LOVE A tennis ball though I don’t really have a stop switch so you have to stop me sometimes. Oh and I really really love a swimming pool. After playing I like to dip in. And cool off. I am easy to love and want so badly to have my own home and people to call my family. A staff member took me home and found out just what a good girl I truly am and my manners inside are AMAZING. I don’t beg for food infact you can put food out and tell me to leave it and I will. I am very smart like that and want to make my people happy and proud of me. I really like to cuddle up on the couch and soak in all the loving one has to give. Oh but be ready I like to share my kisses with you when I am happy and feeling overly joyful with love. I am not a fan of dogs and cats so I need a home where I am the only pet. Plus a family that will keep me away from other fur kids when being outside. I just want all the TLC. I promise to love you FOREVER if you just give me the chance. Everyone tells me I am sweet and gorgeous oh and fun too but here I stay. They don’t understand why either. I am fully vetted, house broken, and now 5 years old. I have gotten kennel stressed and people passing by May think I am not friendly but I really am I am just wanting to get your attention and want you to meet me. Please get the nice people who work at the shelter to pull me out to meet me. You’ll see me totally different and not stressed because of being in my kennel. Don’t know how much longer I have to wait but I hope my Lucky Day comes soon and I can have my own person or family to love and home to call my own. Please share me and help me find the most loving FOREVER home! If you have another dog and are interested in meeting another potential new furry member please bring him or her to the shelter and meet on neutral ground before adopting. Story
Meet this adorable fella named Licker! (He is currently in a foster home with 2 other dogs and doing great.) He came into the shelter June 23-25, 2021 when his family could no longer keep him a s asked ACO to come & pick him up. He was involved in an accident shortly after coming in and is on the mend. He also suffers from seizures so he will need a FOREVER home that can provide him with his daily medication to keep him seizure free. A veterinarian will have to closely monitor him while on medication to make sure it’s the right dose and helping as it’s intended…bloodwork periodically will be required as well. Since being on the medication he has been great and has blossomed into this happy spunky fun loving pup. Licker is around 5 years old, current on shots, now neutered (November 2021) and just a sweetheart…great size too. Maybe you have the most perfect loving FOREVER home for Licker?! Visit with him today & adopt him into your heart and home! Story
Meet this handsome hunk of love named Sasha! He originally came into the shelter mid September 2021 when his owner could no longer keep him. He was adopted by an older couple who’s wife wasn’t able to walk him so he came back. Shortly later he was adopted and was there ~9 months and then owners returned him when they couldn’t afford to keep him. He came in missing hair on his back side but with a good diet and monthly flea prevention he should be good. Maybe a daily Zertec since he has sensitive skin and can be itchy. He is settling in again and really hopes his stay isnt too long. He can have bursts of energy where he can get jumpy and wants to do zoomies but settles down after play time and a good walk and wants to snuggle! He is an adult dog around 5 years old, neutered, and is current on shots. Just a happy guy who is a good size and full of love to share. Walks great on the leash and seems very loyal. Might you have the most perfect loving FOREVER home for Sasha?! Visit with him today and give him a wonderful FOREVER home to call his own! Story
Meet this handsome fella named Marley! (Currently in foster care and a meet and greet can be arranged if interested in meeting Marley. He does come to the shelter weekdays (typically) between 3-5. ) He came into the shelter early March 2022 and was in pitiful shape. His skin was raw in about 70% of his body yet he remained so sweet despite his discomfort. He has received many medicated bath and he LOVE swimming in the salt water near his foster dads home. Great for his skin too. He is house broken, gets along great with his 2 other foster brothers and has met a few other pups and has been good with them. A dog that jumps on him probably would be best for this senior boy. He is 7 years old, current on shots, and just the sweetest fella. Enjoys going for walks and soaking up all the body rubs and affection one has to share. Maybe you have the most perfect loving FOREVER home for sweet Marley?! Visit with him and see what a loving pup he truly is and give him a wonderful life to enjoy his “golden years” being spoiled and loved! If you have another dog and are interested in meeting another potential new furry member please bring him or her to the shelter and meet on neutral ground before adopting.
