Story
Meet this handsome fella named Leo! He originally came into the shelter September 4, 2020 when his family was moving and they could not take him along with them. Was quickly adopted and back because he didn’t do well in the home with the child & played rough with the cat. They felt he was best to go to a home without children & cats. Then he was quickly adopted and now September 13, 2022 (two years later) he was returned because he killed some chickens. So he needs a home without small kids, chickens, and cats. He was adopted December 2022 and now back April 1, 2023 when his owner was having to move overseas and can’t take Leo on the move. Poor guy can’t catch a break. He really misses his family and home life setting & hopes his FOREVER person or family comes soon to adopt him. He is 8 years old, current on shots, house broken, neutered, and “original owner” said got along with some other dogs. Though now would Love to be able to soak up all the love and affection. He was free roaming in the house (not a chewer) and loves laying on his dog bed. He also loves to play with toys yet may be a little possessive with them. Leo gets scared when vacuum is running. At night he likes to sleep on a dog bed in his owners room. He likes spending time outside & needs some of exercise but also being inside with his family when wanting to lounge around. This charming fella is super smart and will make someone or a family a fabulous pup if given a fair chance. Might you have the most Amazing FOREVER home for Leo?! Set up an appointment with Leo today! Maybe you have the “REAL FOREVER” home he’s been dreaming of!!??? If you have another dog and are interested in meeting another potential new furry member please bring him or her to the shelter and meet on neutral ground before adopting. No need to shuffle the animals around any more than necessary. Please know that 1 mosquito bite can create heart worms and they can be fatal if not treated. It is VERY important to keep your pets healthy and protected by keeping them on a once a month heart worm and flea/tick prevention. These animals are counting on you as their owner to provide them with lots a love and the proper health care so PLEASE make sure you are aware and prepared before adopting. Owning a pet is an extra expense and responsibility but is so worth every minute and penny you invest in them. They will add lots of joy and unconditional love if given a fair chance. The shelter is open Mon.-Fri. 10-1, 2-5 and Sat. 10-4. Adopt a homeless pet and save a life. If you can not adopt right now come out and volunteer and make a difference in the lives of these animals while they await their FOREVER home.

Story
Meet this sweetie named Charlie! She originally came into the shelter April 1, 2021 when her owner could no longer keep her. She was adopted months after await g her new home and owner was unable to keep her so she came back months after being around around May 2022. She is 6 years 10 months old (Sept. 2022), current on shots, (spayed December 2021), and house broken. She seems to get along with children who are respectful of her not trying to climb or jump hard on or with her from what her original owner said. Climbing up on the couch for some relaxation is something she really likes too when in a home. She has gotten a little kennel stressed but once out she’s at ease and happy…loves to rub and play…especially fetching a ball or 2 or 3. . She has met some pups and has seems good with most of them. If they are wild and all over her that seems to make her feel uncomfortable so callers dogs are best. A calm loving home would be ideal for her. She beautiful inside and out and misses her cozy home life setting. Maybe you have the most perfect loving FOREVER home for Charlie?! Stop by for a visit with her today! If you have another dog and are interested in meeting another potential new furry member please bring him or her to the shelter and meet on neutral ground before adopting. Story
Meet this gorgeous gal named Lavender! She originally came into the shelter on May 21, 2021 when her owner was moving and could not take her along with them. She was adopted and 7 months later back December 12, 2021 when another pup approached Lavenders fence and there was a altercation. Owner felt to prevent from another possible accident happening it was best to bring her back though she was devastated because she adored and loved Lavender dearly. She is 3 years old, current on shots, already spayed, house broken, and missing her family and home life setting. She was super stressed when she came in (very common when they go from living in a home to a loud shelter with nothing familiar, new smells, people, barking dogs, etc). Plus she doesn’t care for other animals and needs a home that can keep her from being put in a situation where a accident could happen. Once out of her kennel she’s just a happy happy girl and loves soaking up body rubs and affection. Loves a good game of fetch. Doesn’t want to stop playing. Just a great girl who loves the water and who is house broken, smart, eager to please, loyal, and gorgeous. Maybe you have the most perfect loving FOREVER home for Lavender?! Visit with her today!!

Story
Meet this adorable fella named Licker! (He is currently in a foster home with 2 other dogs and doing great.) He came into the shelter June 23-25, 2021 when his family could no longer keep him a s asked ACO to come & pick him up. He was involved in an accident shortly after coming in and is on the mend. He also suffers from seizures so he will need a FOREVER home that can provide him with his daily medication to keep him seizure free. A veterinarian will have to closely monitor him while on medication to make sure it’s the right dose and helping as it’s intended…bloodwork periodically will be required as well. Since being on the medication he has been great and has blossomed into this happy spunky fun loving pup. Story
Meet this handsome fella named Marley! (Currently in foster care and a meet and greet can be arranged if interested in meeting Marley. He does come to the shelter weekdays (typically) between 3-5. ) He came into the shelter early March 2022 and was in pitiful shape. His skin was raw in about 70% of his body yet he remained so sweet despite his discomfort. He has received many medicated bath and he LOVE swimming in the salt water near his foster dads home. Great for his skin too. He is house broken, gets along great with his 2 other foster brothers and has met a few other pups and has been good with them. A dog that jumps on him probably would be best for this senior boy. He is 7 years old, current on shots, and just the sweetest fella. Enjoys going for walks and soaking up all the body rubs and affection one has to share. Maybe you have the most perfect loving FOREVER home for sweet Marley?! Visit with him and see what a loving pup he truly is and give him a wonderful life to enjoy his “golden years” being spoiled and loved!
