Story
Meet Nala! This beautiful girl was sadly surrendered into our care when her previous family had to move and couldn’t take her with them. Understandably, Nala is a bit nervous in the shelter environment—but once she opens up, she is incredibly loyal, affectionate, and an absolute cuddle bug.Nala does well with smaller, submissive dogs and would thrive in a calm, patient home. She loves beach outings, rides great in the car, and is happiest by your side—soaking up love and companionship. We’re hoping to find a foster-to-adopt home for Nala—someone who’s willing to give her the time and space she needs to adjust and truly shine. She would make the perfect companion for a single-person household or a quiet home looking for a devoted best friend. If you think you might be the right match for Nala, please call us at 252-475-5620 to schedule a meet and greet. She’s ready to share her heart—you just have to give her the chance.*ADOPTION FEE PAID FOR*

Story
Meet Lucky! This beautiful girl was found abandoned on the side of the road in an area where, sadly, dogs are often left behind and not found for weeks. Thanks to the kindness of our community, we were able to bring Lucky to safety. Lucky was previously adopted from a Lab rescue, but when her owner moved, she was left behind. While we may never understand how anyone could do that, we’re grateful she’s now safe and getting the care she deserves. Because of what she’s been through, Lucky may take a little time to warm up to other dogs and can be sensitive to fast movements. But beneath that is a smart, loving girl who knows her basic commands and is ready to bond deeply with her person. Lucky would do best with an adopter who can give her patience, love, and the fresh start she truly deserves. We can’t wait to see her finally experience the safe and happy life she’s been waiting for.
