Story
Name: Fathom Breed: GSD x Farm Dog Mix DOB/Sex: Dec 22, 2023/F Known Health Issues: None at this time. Good With: Cats! Dogs! Kids! NO DOG PARKS Fathom is one of 8 puppies born on a farm. She was surrendered with her mom, Bounty (small GSD), at 6 weeks of age. Fathom is the sweetest, most precious girl. She's has the innocence and softness that makes you just want to scoop her up, and protect her from the world. But there's a firey spark in their too, so don't let her completely fool you! Fathom spends her days wrestling with her sibblings, checking out new adventures, and snuggling into me any chance she gets. She is slower to explore new things, and appreciates patience and guidance. Once comfortable, she doesn't hold back, and has a blast! Fathom is moderately food motivated, but does have a slight tendancy to guard high value items from her siblings. Proper management will be important as she matures, to make sure boundaries are established and enforced. She would pair well with a fun-loving canine partner, or is able to go solo. She has not yet met cats yet, but with proper introductions and training will be just fine. As she is a softer girl, older kids, that understand boundaries, and canine body language are best suited. She is not for a rough and tumble household. Her successful adopter must be willing to bring her in for her spay, to our vet in Caledon. This is all included with her adoption. If this special girl is the one missing from your life, please apply here: https://form.jotform.com/233466598767073 ________________________________ Adoption through Inugoya includes: - the dog - All vaccinations & required boosters; DA2PPv, Bordetella, Lyme, Leptospirosis, and Rabies - 4DX Blood Test (Heartworm, Lyme Disease, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis) - Age appropriate wellness blood screen - Fecal test - Deworming & Flea/Tick/Heartworm prevention - Spay/Neuter - Microchip - Hip xray for all dogs that undergo anesthesia - All medical needs assessed and concluded. Name: Clipper Breed: GSD x Farm Dog Mix DOB/Sex: Dec 22, 2023/M Known Health Issues: Grade 1 heart murmur. Echo has been performed. No surgery or medication required at this time. Recheck Echo 1yr from initial assessment. Good With: Cats! Dogs! Kids! NO DOG PARKS Clipper is as sweet as they come! He is curious, playful, and cuddly 🥰 He has a softer personality, so takes a moment to warm up to you, but once he does, so many kisses! He is in a critical socialization time, so it's important that his adopter be ready to take him on regular, controlled excursions, to continue to build his confidence in the world. He would love a confident canine companion to grow with and learn from. He loves to climb and explore, and enjoys coming along for hikes! He has started on leash training, house training, crate training and basic manners. As with all puppies this is a work in progress. Continuing his training ongoing, will be key to setting him for success. He would love an active adventure family, or backyard sport dabbling home. He will be fine with kids, that are patient and understand boundaries. He would not be good in a rough and tumble home. Cats will be fine, with proper training and introductions. His successful adopter must be willing to bring him in for his neuter, to our vet in Caledon. This is all included with his adoption. Story
Name: Samantha Breed: Rottweiler Age/Sex: ~2020, FS Health Concerns: None at this time Good with: Breed experienced, responsible teenagers NO DOGS. NO CATS. NO DOG PARKS Samantha is an exuberant young girl, who is ready to start the best chapter of her life! She was found as a stray, so she's starting a fresh new page, and is writing her own history. Samantha is very confident, and forward. She does not appear to have received much training in her previous life, and is working hard on understanding concepts such as impulse control, and leash pressure. She is strong, and used to throwing her weight around to get what she wants. She is doing very well with her crate training, though can be destructive if bored. She cannot have soft bedding material, a Kuranda style bed is best. Samantha has excellent food and toy drive, and will play for hours. She loves the water, and everything is fun and exciting. This is no couch potato girl, she's an active working girl, and she knows it! She enjoys working for her ball, has been introduced to disc rollers, and is always up for learning something new. She is very green, and easy to take in any direction. Samantha has shown some selectivity with people, but with proper intros, and some food, is easily bribed. Staying on top of her training to ensure good choices, is key. If you get lax with her, she will absolutely take it, and run with it. Due to her nature and forward personality, homes with teenagers that can be actively involved in her training, and are comfortable establishing boundaries with a powerful, guardian breed, will be considered. Samantha has made it quite clear that she does not want to share her personal space with other pets. She can be neutral, but will get very forward and aggressive, if they enter her space. She has done very well learning to be neutral, and with continued management, should be fine in a wide variety of sporting environments. Samantha is a fabulous rottweiler, very green, and ready to go in any direction. She is a joy to work with, and very affectionate with her person. Story
Name: Storm Breed: GSD Sex/DOB: FS 10/26/19 Known Health Issues: None at this time Good With: Dogs. *MUST HAVE ANOTHER DOG IN HOME TO ADOPT* Cats possibly okay with strict training. Patient and calm persons, who respect boundaries. No kids. Patient, dog savvy teens will be considered. NO DOG PARKS. Storm is a very soft dog, and needs a lot of time, space, and patience. What she doesn't need is coddling, and someone to trap her in her past. Her successful adopter must be dedicated to continuing to work with her, expanding her world slowly, but consistently, and giving her life skills to build upon. If your first instinct is to feel sorry for her, she is not the dog for you. Storm absolutely thrives with other dogs, so much so, that it is a requirement to have another dog to adopt her. She will look to them for guidance, confidence, and direction. She gets along with most other dogs, with some selectivity with certain females. Care must be taken, to make sure she is still worked independently of the other dog, to prevent separation anxiety, and littermate syndrome issues. Storm loves the outdoors! Once she is comfortable in a space, she shines. She runs, and plays, and leaps for joy! Due to her personality, she is a significant flight risk initially, and needs a secure, fully fenced backyard to access. She will happily spend her days out in the yard, especially if you are out with her. Storm is incredibly goofy, and loves to make you laugh. Her favourite item is her food dish, and she can often be found carrying around, or just laying and holding it! Sturdy dishes recommended! She has the warmest personality, which she reserves for her special person. She's not looking to have a large social circle, so a quiet home, without many visitors suits her best. She wants to be your one and only. Storm would love to dabble in some backyard sport activities to help her confidence grow. With enough time and patience, she may even do well at events, but time will tell. She is toy motivated, and loves to retrieve. If she sees another dog performing a task and getting rewarded, she is very quick to imitate! Her food drive is low, but could built. She'd rather work for your praise! If you think you have the time, pateince, and dedication for my special girl, please send in an application. She will require several meets, before she would be ready to potentially move out. ________________________________ Adoption through Inugoya includes: - the dog - All vaccinations & required boosters; DA2PPv, Bordetella, Lyme, Leptospirosis, and Rabies - 4DX Blood Test (Heartworm, Lyme Disease, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis) - Age appropriate wellness blood screen - Fecal test - Deworming & Flea/Tick/Heartworm prevention - Spay/Neuter - Microchip - Hip xray for all dogs that undergo anesthesia - All medical needs assessed and concluded. Story
Name: North Age/Sex: Dec 2023/F (Will be spayed by rescue) Breed: Husky x GSD as per previous O Weight: ~45lbs Medical Needs: Rear toe amputated due to infection. Doing great! Does not affect ability or function. Good with: Dogs! Kids! Dog savvy cats with training! NO DOG PARKS This fun, fiesty sweetheart is ready to take over the world, and she hopes you'll come along for the ride! She's definitely more husky in size and personality, than shepherd, but she's a whole lot of fun! North is very active, and looking for a home that's going to keep up with her. She loves to use her nose, and has strong chase and prey drive. She also loves to pull, and would love a home that will get her involved in Canicross, Joring, or even Sledding! She's super social, outgoing, and very environmentally sound. She's never met a stranger, and she would love a home with another canine companion to wrestle with (though not required)! I do believe she could live successfully with dog savvy cats, with proper training. But cats outside the home are going to be fair game. True to her husky ways, she loves to climb, and scale anything and everything, so a proper secure yard is a must! North arrived in great shape, but unfortunately had a freak accident in the yard zooming around and got a stick poke in her foot. The initial antibiotics didn't work, and she ended up having a resistant form of bacteria that unfortunately persisted, and we ended up losing the whole toe. It has been amputated, she has successfully healed, and it does not slow her down in any way, shape or form! It is the outside toe on her back left foot. It just means you now have one less nail to trim ;-) She's still capable of performing any and all sport type functions, so please don't let this dissuade you from considering this fabulous girl! She truly makes friends wherever she goes, and it's going to make the right family very happy! If she sounds like the right dog for your home, please get your application in today! Story
Name: Nellie DOB/Sex: 5/3/23 FS Breed: GSDx Known Health Issues: GI Tract Abnormality. Seeing MOVH March 21st. Good with: Dogs! Cats with proper training! Kids with proper boundaries! Little Nellie is a pint sized bundle of fun! She was sold to her previous owners as a single breed, but I'd bet good money she has something else mixed in. She is very small, and very finely boned. But she has a big personality! Nellie gains confidence well, and is very excited to engage with new things. A little patience goes a long way! She has a very 'in your pocket' personality, and wants to be with her person, and work! She has started in an agility foundations class and loves it! She is a soft dog, which makes her very responsive to body pressure, and easy to guide. She is very engaged with her handler, and works well around distractions. She appreciates her space being advocated for, and does not like strange dogs approaching uninvited, and will look to her handler for guidance. It is important that her person be willing to intervene, as she is currently very neutral, and failure to do so, will lead her down the reactive path. Nellie has already taken a dip in the canal, and proven to be a swimmer! Even though it's not exactly swim season 🤣 I can definitely see some dock jumping in her future. She loves to run, leap, and chase, and would be suitable for just about any canine sport (not a bitework candidate). She is a super fun little dog, oozing a ton of potential, and raring to go! Though we are investigating some GI issues, she's happy to move home on a foster to adopt, to start settling in. She doesn't need to wait in rescue while her diagnostics are completed. Let's get her home 😊 Application: https://form.jotform.com/233466598767073 ________________________________ Adoption through Inugoya includes: - the dog - All vaccinations & required boosters; DA2PPv, Bordetella, Lyme, Leptospirosis, and Rabies - 4DX Blood Test (Heartworm, Lyme Disease, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis) - Age appropriate wellness blood screen - Fecal test - Deworming & Flea/Tick/Heartworm prevention - Spay/Neuter - Microchip - Hip xray for all dogs that undergo anesthesia - All medical needs assessed and concluded.
