Story
Meet Mochi! Some things are just better when they’re sweet, and Mochi is one of them! Mochi is a 1.5-year-old, 8.5 lb Maltipoo who is currently being fostered in Toronto and is ready to find his forever family. With his fluffy white coat, adorable face and sweet little personality, Mochi is pretty irresistible. His coat doesn’t shed, although, like all Maltipoos, he’ll need regular grooming to keep him looking his best. Mochi absolutely LOVES his people. He’s a loyal little companion who wants to be wherever his favourite person is and will happily follow you around the house. He also loves going for car rides and is perfectly happy to curl up in his crate when it’s time to relax. His crate has become his own cozy little space, and he sleeps peacefully there all night. And just like the delicious treat he’s named after, Mochi is sweet, smart and a little bit irresistible! He has a BIG love of treats, which makes training him extra fun. He already knows “sit,” has a great recall and is eager to learn more. His perfect family will continue helping him learn and grow with plenty of positive reinforcement and yummy rewards! Mochi gets very excited when he’s out on walks and LOVES saying hello to the world around him. He can pull on leash and may bark when he’s especially excited to meet people or other dogs. He is friendly with dogs for the most part, but we think Mochi would really enjoy being the only pet in his home, where he can have all the attention to himself and be his family’s one and only. Mochi is still working on his potty training, and his foster family is patiently helping him along. He was recently neutered, so we’re hopeful that some of his marking will settle as he adjusts. He’s making progress and just needs a family who will continue to give him consistency, patience and lots of encouragement. Mochi is also a little watchdog and will happily let you know when something catches his attention. He isn’t excessively barky, and his foster mom thinks he could do well in an apartment as long as he has his crate and a cozy space where he can relax and feel secure. We are looking for an adult-only home for Mochi. He isn’t always comfortable with quick movements or little hands, so we want his new home to be a calm environment where he can feel safe, understood and respected. Mochi does best when his boundaries are respected, and if something makes him uncomfortable, he may let you know with a little growl. His forever family will need to give him time to build trust and understand his communication. Mochi is such a special little guy. He’s affectionate, loyal, clever, happy and absolutely full of personality. He’s the kind of little companion who wants to be part of your everyday life — whether that means coming along for a car ride, learning something new for a tasty treat or simply curling up nearby in his favourite cozy spot. All Mochi needs now is the right person to give him the love, structure, patience and guidance he deserves. In return, you’ll get a whole lot of sweetness in one very adorable little package. We think Mochi is ready to find his perfect match — could that be you? ************* As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Story
Meet Finik! This sweet 3-year-old, 11 lb Havanese mix is a bouncy, bright-eyed little sidekick looking for his forever home. Finik has come back to Just Paws through no fault of his own and is ready to find his perfect match! Quick Stats Breed: Havanese Mix Age: 3 years old Weight: 11 lbs Location: Fostered in Mount Albert House-Trained: Yes Personality & Vibe Finik is an independent, low-maintenance guy who is content doing his own thing without needing to be velcroed to your side. He’s a proud, happy leash walker who thoroughly enjoys his neighborhood strolls! While sweet and polite, he can be cautious around new people, fast movements, and unfamiliar indoor sounds until he gets used to them. Ideal Home Household Setup: Best suited to a quiet, single-story home (he hasn’t quite grasped upper-level sounds yet!). He thrives in a predictable environment with one or two mature adults. Patience is key while he adjusts to new sounds and routines! No apartments/condos please. Kids: Adults-only home. The energy and excitement of children can be unsettling for him. Other Pets: Polite with dogs on walks, he would do best living with an older, calm canine companion—or as a solo, independent pet. No cats, please! Alert Level: He will proudly serve as your home's doorbell! He lets you know when visitors arrive or something exciting happens outside, but calms down well with a bit of reassurance. While never aggressive, he may express discomfort with a low growl when unsure—it’s just his way of expressing himself! Grooming: Requires regular brushing and professional grooming to keep his gorgeous coat soft, healthy, and tangle-free. If you have a calm space and the patience to let him shine, Finik will reward you with endless loyalty, quiet companionship, plenty of laughter, and wonderful daily walks. Are you ready to welcome this sweet boy home? ************* As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! Story
Thank you for your interest in Hubert. He is such a fun loving, energetic, happy, barky boy. He loves people and dogs and life. Some of it he loves a little too much. Well, not too much for him but too much for other dogs. But he is really just a softee who wants to run and play and be chased. Hubert hasn't had the best start in life. He was sold to an elderly owner who wasn't able to manage a happy, energetic dog so Hubert landed in a day care/boarding facility. His owner wasn't able to take him back and the really sad things started happening. He was sold, returned, sold, returned and finally someone took him to the vet. Hubert was really matted and was finally groomed. It was then discovered that he had a terrible ear infection and an infected toe! Once again people had failed him. Off to the vet he went and as soon as he received treatment he felt so much better and his happy came out! He went to live with another family and they really loved him but underestimated how much energy is required when you have a dog like Hubert so SPIN was called. Hubert is just the kind of dog we love! Running, bouncing, barking, playing, snuggling, hugging, what could be better?

Story
Jean-Pierre (JP) is a striking three-year-old Standard Poodle who has made remarkable progress since being found abandoned in Quebec. When he first arrived at the shelter, he was frightened, in pain from an untreated ear infection, and unsure of people. With care, patience, and medical treatment, he started to heal — both physically and emotionally — and showed the sweet, loyal nature that defines him today.

Story
OSHAWA, ON - Magnus is a 3-year-old standard poodle who has been loved every day of his life. But when the owner’s health and mobility declined, and a move was on the horizon, they made the decision to reach out to SPIN, as they could no longer meet Magnus’s exercise and mental enrichment needs. Magnus is currently in his foster home and his foster family has been nothing short of amazed by his intelligence and playfulness.
