Story
Meet D`Let! This social, fluffy gal has been waiting patiently atthe shelter for her perfect adopter to come along. D`Let is a little bit on the spicy side of life! D`Let would do best withan adopter who is not phased by a little pizazz, is willing to learn toread cat body language, and can give her time to adjust to a new home.We are placing D`Let as a working cat or an indoor/outdoor cat due tobehaviors she`s exhibited that lead us to believe she will be unable tolive fully indoors. Adopters are responsible for providing working catswith adequate shelter, food, water, and veterinary care. In exchange, yourworking cat will earn its keep by offering hunting skills andcompanionship.

REMUS AND ROMULUS ARE A BONDED PAIR AND MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHERRemus and Romulus are the best of friends. They are sweet and gentle brothers that love to cuddle with each other. Both boys love to play with every toy you give them and of course each other! In their foster home they enjoyed being patted and sitting quietly with their foster mom and dad. They will thrive in a gentler household.Cats can live up to 20 years, you need to consider this when adopting and choosing the age of the cat you wish to adopt to give them a lifelong, stable home as you are making a commitment for the lifetime of the animal. If you would like to meet Remus and Romulus, please go to our website and fill out an online application www.sarlnh.org

Story
Queeny is just that- a QUEEN. She makes the rules, she sets the vibe. At 14 years young, Queeny has fully earned her crown — and she wears it proudly. This senior lady is sassy, opinionated, and full of personality. She knows what she likes, knows what she doesn’t, and isn’t afraid to let you know. Queeny isn’t looking to be treated like a kitten — she prefers respect, routine, and a human who understands that queens make the rules.Queeny is diabetic, but don’t let that scare you away. Her condition is well controlled with an easy oral medication, and she’s feeling good and enjoying her golden years. She’s proof that seniors with medical needs can still live happy, comfortable, love-filled lives. She would do best in a calm home where she can lounge, supervise daily activities, and remind you that everything technically belongs to her.If you’re looking for a cat with character, confidence, and a little side-eye, Queeny may be your perfect match.

Story
All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. MEET PEARL Pearl is a regal, longhaired gray kitten who once ruled the streets alongside her mom and sister- caught just in time before the storms and freezing temps rolled in. Though she came to us as a semi-feral, Pearl quickly discovered the indoor life suits her beautifully and has made huge strides. Curious and observant, Pearl is the more confident half of her bonded duo. She accepts gentle pats more willingly and enjoys keeping an eye on everything happening around her- including other cats, who she finds very interesting. Most importantly, she adores her sister and brings out the very best in her, which is why they will be adopted together. Pearl will thrive in a quiet, calm home with no dogs or young children, as busy environments can make her retreat and hide. A friendly, well-adjusted cat would be a wonderful bonus and can help show these girls the ropes. Pearl and her sister are looking for a patient, loving home where they can continue to blossom- together!  All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only. February 8, 2026, 6:03 pm
