Meet Valhalla and Visenya! This pretty pair of kitties are looking for their new home together! They are both quite skittish so a nice quiet home would be best for them. Once Valhalla warms up to you he is a very sweet boy, he loves to play as well! They have lived with and tolerated other animals in the past, but it is unknown how they would get along with yours. Valhalla is currently up to date on all of his vaccines, neutered, and micro-chipped. All adoptions start with a visit to our shelter!

Story
If you are looking for sweetness personified in a kitty then Totoro is the one for you.  This 11/2 year old gray long haired boy is the sweetest and most loving cat his foster mom has ever had and she has helped a lot of kitties in need.  Totoro came in to her home and immediately made himself at home.  There was no hiding or shying away from people or other cats at all.  It is as if he has always lived with her.  He is well behaved in every way.  Totoro is litter box trained and grooms himself well.  He will be the perfect addition to someone's family.  Saving a teenage cat is a wonderful thing.  Everyone wants a tiny kitten and the teenages often get overlooked.  If you bypass Totoro it is truly your loss.  He will be the perfect addtion to the right family.  Totoro would be happy as an only cat as he truly loves and craves all the attention you can shower on him.  He will return the love 100 times oveer.  He would also be good with companion kitties as he does know how to share.  Don't miss out on this wonderful  boy.  Totoro is neutered, FIV negative, current on all his shots, on preventative and microchipped.  To be considered for his forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Totoro is actually in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adopted.)January 14, 2025, 11:38 am

Story
Fruit Loop: I am a beautiful fluffy tortie! I can be sweet on my own terms when I am given time to warm up. When I am not seeking attention, I am a very independent, low-maintenance gal with good litter box manners! I previously lived with a baby and a 12-year old, and I was pretty uncomfortable around them. I communicated my discomfort by scratching, so I am looking for a home without kids to keep my stress levels as low as possible! I have a history of ingesting edible items. My previous owners stated that I had two obstructions when I was between the ages of 1 - 3 which required surgery to remove the items. I haven`t had any incidents of this since those times years ago, but my adopters should be mindful to keep anything that could cause an obstruction out of my reach. I seem to have a sensitive stomach and have been vomiting several times a week. My adopters should follow up with their primary veterinarian as currently all medical is coming back as normal. I am easily stressed/overwhelmed during transitions, and I am looking for an adopter who is willing to give me as much time as I need to settle in. This could be a couple of days or a couple of weeks. My success will be dependent upon how well my adopters are able to read and understand my body language. It is recommended that I be set up in my own space, an extra bedroom or bathroom, a space that no one will access unless feeding or cleaning. I should be left alone initially as I adjust. This space should include plenty of hiding places, ideally with access to vertical surfaces such as a cat tree or cat-proofed shelf, and easy access to a bed, litter box, food, and water. Gradually give me more access to the home only when I am confidently moving about my environment and I remain confident with relaxed body language when my adopter spends time with me. My previous adopters let the shelter know that I will growl, hiss, and scratch if pursued when I am hiding!! I am looking for a VERY quiet, low-traffic home with a cat-savvy adopter with lots of patience! I was affectionate on my terms with my previous adult owners, but I have always been quite nervous with other people,, which I would show by hiding and hissing. I am not going to be a very social cat, and it will take me a long time to build a relationship with my new family, but if I am given the time and option to do so at my pace, I will make someone a great low-maintenance co
