Story
Inca is looking for their forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS ABOUT ME: There is nothing Inca loves more than humans and thrives on human connection - she will greet everyone with her wagging tail and endearing looks. A true social butterfly, Inca is a favorite during walks, where she gladly accepts all the pets and praises showered upon her. She loves to spend her days going on long walks in the park, playing tug-of-war, looking out the window, and snoozing at home. She is an independent girl and will do well alone - some quality time outdoors with her people is all she needs to keep her happy. While Inca is generally great on her walks, she is learning to 'look at me' to help with her fear of big trucks. She has fairly good recall (though sometimes she cannot resist reaching the nearest human for pets) and is starting to get comfortable with being off leash outside so she can do what she loves the most - run free and play tag with her human in the park. Inca has been known to do fairly well in a crate in the past, but she is the best-behaved girl when left on her own, and will easily relax in her favorite spots at home. Though she loves to say hello and play with most dogs she meets, she is still learning to share and can get easily overwhelmed, and may be best suited as the only dog at home. Inca has spent her time in different homes, but she is a resilient girl - she is looking for a patient, forever home with people who can understand her sensitivities and give her the comfort she is craving for. ATTRIBUTES: Inca should not be placed in a home with children, but does well with children outside of the home. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. Story
Granby is a handsome 8-year-old Foxhound/Beagle mix. He has had a lot of change in his life and is seeking new accommodations. First, his human died and then his best buddy who was a cat died. He finds himself a little out of sorts with folks who are keeping him safe but not dog people. He is house trained and walks well on leash. He is tentative about strangers coming to the house and needs to work on proper introductions or put in another room or crate if guests are over. Granby has 5 personal trainer sessions with a trainer who knows him that will transfer to his adopter (Falls Church, VA area, willing to travel in DMV area). His ideal home is a quiet one without children and lots of people coming and going. We are seeking an adopter who has Fox Hound or dog experience who knows how to show leadership to a pup. He weighs 70 pounds and is full grown. Adoption fee is waived, but approval process is not. Meet and greets are by appointment only with approved applicants. If you are interested in fostering to adopt, please fill out the online application: https://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoption-request-form/ If you have been approved within the past 6 months and are interested in Granby, please reply to your approval email. Email dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with questions. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for updates: www.facebook.com/lcarmd

Story
3 years old (Birthday: 05/11/2021) Weight: ~70 lbs Fostered in Chestertown, MD Tommy Boy is a fun-loving, social, and independent American Foxhound, who is looking for an experienced owner who knows how to handle his free-spirited ways. While he might look like the perfect cuddle buddy, Tommy is more of a belly-scratch enthusiast than a lap dog, and he’s got a mischievous side that loves a good adventure (especially when it involves wandering off into the woods). He’s a hound—which means his nose is his best friend, and his instincts are strong. So strong, in fact, that he might just take off on a scent mission if you give him half a chance! A fenced-in yard is a must, or else you’ll be chasing after him, wondering where he’s off to next. But don’t let that scare you—he’s incredibly smart and responds well to clear boundaries and consistent training. Tommy Boy needs an experienced dog owner who understands the importance of setting clear expectations and sticking to them. If you say “sit,” he’s got to know you mean it—and if you give him a command, you better follow through! Building trust with Tommy is essential, and once you’ve earned it, he’ll be loyal, loving, and ready for adventure. What Tommy Needs: - Experienced owners who are firm, fair, and consistent with training - A secure, fenced yard where he can satisfy his hound instincts and explore safely - Someone who’s patient, knows how to set boundaries, and is ready to hold him accountable for every command - A commitment to training: Tommy will need someone who will work with him to ensure he follows the rules and feels safe and secure in his new home Tommy is a fun-loving, intelligent pup, who will bring tons of energy and excitement to the right family. With the right guidance, Tommy Boy will thrive and show you just how much love and loyalty he has to offer. Applications are available at www.puppypawsrescue.org

Story
Meet Millie: Your Future Best Friend! Born in Texas on May 27, 2023, Millie entered the world as one of nine beautiful puppies. Her mom is believed to be a purebred Harrier, though her dad remains a mystery. Millie’s journey to our rescue began when her foster could no longer secure a permanent home for her and her siblings. Like many pups in Texas, she faced the heartbreaking risk of abandonment, starvation, or euthanasia. Thankfully, she found her way to us, and now she’s searching for a loving forever home. This smart, playful, and easygoing pup is expected to grow to about 50-60 pounds, making her the perfect family companion. She is fully vetted, up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped. If Millie has captured your heart, visit serendipityanimalrescue.org for more information or to submit an application!

Story
This sweetie was picked up following a post person because she fed them. Very sweet, friendly and happy, she has the typical hound personalities!! Lily does tend to hang back a little and see what's going on around first. She likes to play and does well with the pups she is with right now. She will need all of the puppy training along with leash work. She is just a great puppy ready for a family to go on adventures with. She is located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.
