Story
Two-year-old Koa has great potential to be sure. He is an incredibly smart dog who can be overlooked because he also has a lot of energy. He would be perfect for an active household who is looking for an exercise buddy, a hiking companion or someone who just wants to play! He thoroughly enjoys running around the yard and playing with his toys. Koa has been on field trips with volunteers at Pasadena Humane and a rock star. He has had a lot of training and is eager to please. He focuses on the person walking him very well, although he can’t seem to resist chasing a squirrel if one catches his eye. Koa is still learning that new people can also be great friends, but we’re confident that his affection can be won over very easily with the right treats for motivation. Koa has shown so much promise- we cannot wait to see how far he can go when he meets his forever family! I`m available for a 10 day adoption trial!Learn more about our adoption process.

Story
Leslie is a gorgeous two-year-old German Shepherd mix who has been awaiting her forever home for far too long! Leslie is very nervous while meeting new people and encountering new things. Unfortunately, her trepidation sometimes means she will bark at people she doesn’t know, which in turn makes people shy away from her. Thankfully, the trainers at Pasadena Humane have been working with her to build her confidence, and they’ve seen her start to show off her true personality much more clearly. Leslie is a VERY smart and easy-to-train dog. She knows quite a few training cues like “sit”, “down” and “shake”. She will even “play dead” and pretty much anything else you try to teach her. With a smart dog like Leslie, the sky is the limit! Leslie also bonds very quickly with everyone who can see through the gruff exterior that she puts up. Once you’re in her inner circle, all she wants is to be attached to you at the hip. She will constantly check in on you as you take her out for a walk or work on training with her. As her confidence grows, her inquisitive and fun nature comes out. She will find a plush toy to relax with, or she’ll sniff out the treat you thought she missed. When she relaxes on her dog bed, she is as happy as can be. With the right family, this nervous girl will surely blossom into the amazing dog we all know she can be! Come spend some time with Leslie and see this diamond in the rough! I`m available for a 10 day adoption trial!Learn more about our adoption process.

Story
Yogi is a 4-year-old Shepherd with a gentle heart and a strong desire for affection. He’s a sweet, lovable boy who thrives on human interaction and enjoys being the center of attention, leaning in for pets and scritches at every opportunity. Yogi’s interactions with volunteers showcase his affectionate nature, often nudging for more pets and even resting his head on laps to soak up all the love he can get.Yogi walks well on a leash and has shown great improvement over time. He’s quite treat-motivated, making training and engagement activities a rewarding experience for him. Yogi doesn’t know many commands yet, but he is eager to learn and responds well to food-based rewards. He continues to enjoy exploring yards and going on walks, with a particular fondness for sniffing and investigating his surroundings. He’s happiest when he’s getting plenty of attention and love, often rolling on his back in delight or nudging for more scritches.Despite his generally calm and affectionate demeanor, Yogi is still learning to navigate the world confidently. He can be a bit cautious in new environments, especially busy streets or when encountering unfamiliar noises like loud buses or flags flapping. However, he’s curious and brave, taking his time to evaluate what’s ahead and often proceeding with encouragement. Yogi’s gentle, loving personality shines through even when he’s feeling uncertain, and he seeks reassurance through close contact and affection.Overall, Yogi would be a fantastic companion for someone looking for a loyal and affectionate dog who enjoys quiet moments of affection as much as he does exploring the world around him. He’d thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of love, patient guidance, and a calm environment to help him build his confidence. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving Shepherd to complete your family, Yogi is ready to fill that role with all the affection and loyalty he has to offer! Learn more about our adoption process.

Story
Mr. Wilson, a 7-year-old German Shepherd mix, is a smart, strong, and affectionate dog who’s ready to be your loyal companion. Despite his impressive size, Mr. Wilson is a gentle soul who loves being close to his people, whether it’s cuddling on the couch or lounging by your feet.Mr. Wilson is a smart cookie who thrives on outdoor adventures. He’s happiest when he’s out for a stroll, sniffing his way around the neighborhood or trotting through the yard. While he’s got a bit of a pull when he first gets going, he settles into a nice, relaxed pace and walks like a champ, showing no reaction to passing dogs, people, or even squirrels. He’s treat-motivated and loves games that involve finding hidden snacks, proving he’s not just handsome but also pretty clever! This big guy can be a bit of an escape artist—he’s not a fan of crates and can outsmart baby gates, so he’d do best in a home where he can roam freely and get lots of outdoor time. Mr. Wilson is more comfortable without other pets, or with a very relaxed and socialized dog companion, as he can be a little defensive over resources like food. However, he’s incredibly responsive to corrections and eager to please.Mr. Wilson’s favorite activities include splashing in the pool, zooming around the yard, and riding in the car, where he’ll happily watch the world go by from the back seat. Despite his size and build, he’s a total sweetheart—gentle in his play and always looking to nuzzle up for affection. He’s polite, calm, and well-mannered, with a soft spot for head scratches and belly rubs. This lovable goofball is looking for a home where he can be the center of attention and share his golden years with a family who appreciates his mix of playful energy and laid-back charm. If you’re ready for a big-hearted companion who’s equal parts cuddle bug and adventure buddy, Mr. Wilson is waiting to meet you!Learn more about our adoption process.

Story
Lobster is a lively 1-year-old shepherd mix with a playful spirit and a ton of fun! Lobster thrives on activity and loves to get his energy out with zoomies and chasing toys in the yard. He chases tennis balls like a champ and will relentlessly try to catch them, although his skill level at that needs a little improvement. But his enthusiasm more than makes up for any lack of coordination and catching ability. He`s also quite easy to train. He adores treats and has quickly learned commands like `sit” and “shake”, making him a fun and motivated learner. Lobster is also up for exploring everything he can- he loves taking walks around the neighborhood and greeting everyone he meets with a happily wagging tail. He takes time to smell the roses or whatever else he comes across. He also just found out how much fun going into the doggy pool for a swim. He was a little hesitant at first, but once he hopped in, he splashed around like it was the best thing ever! This young guy is full of life and ready to find a patient and active adopter who can keep up with his playful energy and continue to help him grow. If you’re looking for a spirited, affectionate, and fun-loving companion, Lobster might be the perfect match for you! Come meet Lobster today and see how quickly this charming boy can win your heart! Story
We are seeking a new family for our sweet, energetic and beloved 3-year-old dog Georgia. She is incredibly friendly, great with kids, and gets along well with both cats and other dogs. We adopted her over a year ago. She has a lot of energy and loves to play, so she would thrive in an active household with some room to run. Due to the arrival of our new baby, we unfortunately don't have enough time to give her the attention she deserves. We want to ensure she finds a loving home where she can continue to be the happy, playful companion she is. If you or someone you know is interested in giving her a new home, please reach out. We'd love to share more about her and arrange a meet-up! Thank you!

Story
Donuts is a a year and a half, German Shepherd mix. She’s very friendly, plays well with children, and is house trained. Our schedule makes it difficult to give her the exercise that a young dog requires. She’s a very sweet dog and doesn’t show any signs of aggression what so ever. Donuts loves to play fetch with her soft bunny and froggie toy. Knows the following commands: sit, stay, shake, hi-five, lay down, and go to bed. She sleeps on a dog bed in the house, she isn’t crate trained. She can use a bit of training while walking on a leash (she pulls a bit if you give her slack. Donuts is current with all her vaccines, is microchipped, and spayed. Our home has a backyard which she spends time during the day when we are at work. She needs a bit of space to run and play. We are sad to have to rehome her, but we feel it’s in her best interest to be with an owner or family that can spend more time with her than we can.

Story
Hello - I am looking for a home for Marble, a 1.5 y/o female Belgian Malinois / GSD mix. She is sweet, loyal, and full of energy. She loves playing ball (baseball and soccer), car rides, and going on adventures outdoors. She was rescued at 10 weeks old, and she has since been in a loving home with another dog and a cat. Unfortunately I am looking to rehome her due to financial and housing issues. Marble is a bright and cheerful dog with lots of energy. She is house trained, has decent recall, and knows a few commands such as "sit" "down" "paw" "wait" (before meal time) and "go" (release word). As she is a working dog, I would prefer to adopt her to an experienced dog owner with previous knowledge of handling high energy dogs. I would also love to see her find a home with outdoor space. She loves hikes, going to the beach, and running in open fields. I am glad to say that she is past her puppy, maligator years where she used to rip through everything in the house.
