Barks at strangers outside the home and due to living in a multi-family complex with open views to the courtyard, she needs a new home due to barking. Will do best in a home with a yard and experienced dog owner. She gets along well with small dogs but not dogs bigger than herself and currently lives with a smaller sized dog who is the boss of her. She goes to doggy daycare in the small dog section. She gets along with children but will need time to adjust to them.

Sadie’s ears might be the first thing that catches your eye when you see her for the first time. It looks a little bit like they’re too big for her, or that she’s still growing into them. However, Sadie is just over a year old, so she’s likely about full grown at 60 pounds. She seems to have also outgrown the puppy stage because she has a very calm energy and demeanor. She’s very smart and seems to truly enjoy learning new things. She is a master at “sit”, “down”, “touch”, and is even working on “play dead”. New things come very easily to her, and she is a people-pleaser, which will make it very easy for her adopters to get her used to her forever home and continue her training. One of the cutest things she does is to collect all her toys on her blanket. She happily chases any toy that’s available, then prances back to her blanket to lay down and give it a chew. Other dogs make Sadie anxious, so she would much prefer to be the only dog in the home. That also means that she won’t like dog parks or the dog beach, but she loves going on hikes or walks. She recently went out on a field trip and had the best time. She enjoyed exploring a new place and meeting some new friends. She does really well in the car- she lays down and dozes off until you reach your destination. Sadie will probably prefer a quieter home with not a whole lot of activity. She bonds very quickly with people, so she is likely to get attached to her new family and be the most loyal companion! Haden is a sensitive soul with warm brown eyes and the softest coat, weighing in at 60lbs and fully grown at 2yrs. This sweet and gentle boy spent way too much of his young life waiting for his turn to exit the shelter. He is dog social and was a regular in shelter playgroups where he won the hearts of many volunteers. He is currently fostered in a home with other dogs and quickly learning his leash manners while out and about in LA with his foster mom. Loki was found in the snow of Iowa while our family was on vacation. We brought him to California on a 32 hour drive, so he great in the car. He’s been seen by a veterinarian and is aged at 5months old. He has very unique marking according to the vet. Loki learned how to sit and is working on shake paw, stay, and to walk on a leach. He takes baths but we are still working and his trust when cutting his nails. He is very motivated by treats. He is very smart and has learned his new skills rather quickly. He needs an owner that can give him lots of affection and time. He does not like to be alone. He has paired well with our other animals and prefers to be with our dog if no one is around. We are hoping to find a forever home that will give him the love that this snow puppy deserves.
