Cooper IS AVAILALBE (updated 09-17-2025).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Cooper , please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22855&name=Cooper Meet Cooper! He came to us from the desert where he was found as a stray. The police department who impounded him reached out to us as Cooper was such a phenomenal dog! Cooper quickly went to a foster home and has shown us that he is one amazing boy! He loves to hike, go for walks, enjoys the beachâ&#194&#128¦ and even joined for taco dinner in Laguna! Cooper is great with other dogs and has a very social personality! He would be a great addition to an active home ideally with other canines! We believe he is about 8-9 months old and is ready for his forever family! The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.September 17, 2025, 8:36 am

Dodger IS AVAILALBE (updated 09-17-2025).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Dodger, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22305&name=Dodger3-year-old Dodger (born in June of 2020) graduated Summa Cum Laude from an ivy league board and train program, where he lived with and trained with other dogs (who might not have had his stunning good looks, but he treated everyone as if they did). This big puppy learned so much there: how to be social and that there are rules that need to be followed, which ultimately lead to his own confidence and comfort. Dodger is a quick study and as smart as you&#39d expect from a working dog. He is living in a foster home, good in the house, and does great with his canine foster sister. He&#39s crate trained, potty trained, has a big ball/toy/food drive, and would be a great addition to a home with GSD experience. (He would not be a good fit as someone&#39s first GSD, but, if this is your breed and you have experience, he will quickly become your all-time favorite dog out of all of your dogs.)A perk to adopting Dodger is that you&#39ll get a session with his trainer, to set you up for success upon adoption, and can attend The Royal K9 Dog Psychology & Training Center monthly training sessions (for all graduates of their board and train program) for a lifetime! The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. Bandit has inoperable liver shunts that can not be cured. He is on a regimen of supplements and prescription diet and is doing amazing! He runs and plays with his foster siblings and you would never know anything is wrong with him! While we know there are not many (if any) adopters looking to adopt a pup with a medical condition like this, we also know there are some pretty wonderful people in this world and maybe one would like to adopt Bandit! Bandit loves all things fun and has a joy for life that is unmatched! The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. For more information and the adoption application for Nikki, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22515&name=NikkiNikki is a mixed breed dog, just over 3 years old, who came to Coastal GSR after being found in a field with her siblings. Nikki will not grow any taller but she may fill out some more. She has giant ears that we thought would stand up but mostly they just flop. She is very food motivated, which helps with training. She is fun, fearless, and fast. She is also very alert and an adventurer but she can also be sweet and affectionate too. Nikki goes hard, runs fast, and crashes hard too. Nikki is sharp - she learns new tricks and commands easily and she is adaptable.Nikki is housetrained and also crate trained. A real plus to help Nikki settle into your life would be to have a large yard for her to sprint around in and explore. If you are looking for a young dog to be your companion in the wilderness, on hiking trails, or just play in your yard with you - come meet Nikki! The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. For more information and the adoption application for Robin, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22812&name=RobinRobin is approximately 2 years old. She is in a foster home with another dog and adults. She is doing well and quickly transitioned to living inside a home and learning new routines. She is food motivated and eager to please. She walks well on a leash. Robin is very smart and picks up new commands quickly. She loves being near people. Robin would love a home with an active family and one that would like to take her with them. She has been introduced to small children and did well. Having another dog is not necessary but Robin is dog friendly if introduced properly. Robin has been spayed, microchipped, and has all of her vaccinations. She is ready to go and join your pack. Her backstory: Robin was found wandering around a neighborhood in the Inland Empire during a heat wave. She eventually went into the shade under a tree and refused to move. The homeowner brought her in and took care of her. She tried to find Robin&#39s owner and even posted flyers but no one claimed Robin.Robin was pregnant and gave birth to 9 puppies. Four of the puppies did not make it but 5 did. Coastal GSR found homes for the puppies and we are now looking for a forever home for Robin. Her fosters did a DNA test and Robin is 89% GSD. She has some Husky, Malamute and Bohemian Shepherd in her too but in small amounts. The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500.
