Dodger IS AVAILALBE (updated 05-07-2025).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Dodger, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22305&name=Dodger3-year-old Dodger (born in June of 2020) graduated Summa Cum Laude from an ivy league board and train program, where he lived with and trained with other dogs (who might not have had his stunning good looks, but he treated everyone as if they did). This big puppy learned so much there: how to be social and that there are rules that need to be followed, which ultimately lead to his own confidence and comfort. Dodger is a quick study and as smart as you&#39d expect from a working dog. He is living in a foster home, good in the house, and does great with his canine foster sister. He&#39s crate trained, potty trained, has a big ball/toy/food drive, and would be a great addition to a home with GSD experience. (He would not be a good fit as someone&#39s first GSD, but, if this is your breed and you have experience, he will quickly become your all-time favorite dog out of all of your dogs.)A perk to adopting Dodger is that you&#39ll get a session with his trainer, to set you up for success upon adoption, and can attend The Royal K9 Dog Psychology & Training Center monthly training sessions (for all graduates of their board and train program) for a lifetime! The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.May 7, 2025, 4:30 pm

Bandit has inoperable liver shunts that can not be cured. He is on a regimen of supplements and prescription diet and is doing amazing! He runs and plays with his foster siblings and you would never know anything is wrong with him! While we know there are not many (if any) adopters looking to adopt a pup with a medical condition like this, we also know there are some pretty wonderful people in this world and maybe one would like to adopt Bandit! Bandit loves all things fun and has a joy for life that is unmatched! The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. For more information and the adoption application for Nikki, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22515&name=NikkiNikki is a mixed breed dog, just over 3 years old, who came to Coastal GSR after being found in a field with her siblings. Nikki will not grow any taller but she may fill out some more. She has giant ears that we thought would stand up but mostly they just flop. She is very food motivated, which helps with training. She is fun, fearless, and fast. She is also very alert and an adventurer but she can also be sweet and affectionate too. Nikki goes hard, runs fast, and crashes hard too. Nikki is sharp - she learns new tricks and commands easily and she is adaptable.Nikki is housetrained and also crate trained. A real plus to help Nikki settle into your life would be to have a large yard for her to sprint around in and explore. If you are looking for a young dog to be your companion in the wilderness, on hiking trails, or just play in your yard with you - come meet Nikki! The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. For more information and the adoption application for Nicki , please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22647&name=Nicki Introducing 18 month old Nicki, the embodiment of irresistible charm and unyielding spirit!Nicki is a gorgeous girl who was born with cerebellar hypoplasia, a brain condition that has slightly impacted her motor development. It is not degenerative or contagious. She also has some limited vision impairment along with wobbly legs but she can navigate perfectly after being in a home for a short time.Don&#39t let her wobble stop you from considering Nicki as a member of your family. Nicki is near perfection in a pooch! She&#39s a quick learner, mastering potty-training and the doggie door, and she gets along splendidly with both dogs and cats. This social butterfly thrives in the company of other pets and would make a fantastic addition to an active household that can match her high-spirited energy. While Nicki may not be the next agility champion or dog sports superstar, her zest for life is boundless. She&#39s not really limited, just somewhat clumsy. In Nicki, you won&#39t just be adopting a dog; you&#39ll be gaining your most steadfast and loving best friend. Let Nicki&#39s resilience inspire you every day, and embrace the wonderful wobbles that make her the extraordinary, adoptable treasure she is.FYI, Nicki&#39s sister Nadia has the same condition and was adopted by an active family who takes her hiking and camping. Nothing slows Nadia down and she plays and keeps up with the other German Shepherds in the home. The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. For more information and the adoption application for Biscuit, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22655&name=BiscuitBiscuit and her friend Denali came from the same shelter in Southern California. The shelter said that they were not bonded but they definitely like to be with each other and are buddies.Biscuit is very shy. Biscuit is not going to choose you to adopt her, you will have to chose Biscuit. Because of past mistreatment, she takes a while to warm up to people and trust them. But - once she does trust you - she will be a wonderful companion and buddy. Just ask her foster family. They have seen an amazing transformation with her since she came to their home.Biscuit is house broken and crate trained. She doesn&#39t mind being in a crate. She is relaxed and comfortable inside of one and will walk in herself. It is truly her safe place. Biscuit prefers to be equally inside and outside. If she is in the yard and has been out long enough, according to her, she will let you know she wants to be back inside. Other than her crate, her favorite place is curled up on the couch next to her foster mom.She prefers to play with Denali but will play with other dogs. She loves the company of the other dogs in the home. She is agile - she will need a secure yard and a fence that she can not leap over.Biscuit loves carrots. It&#39s her favorite treat. She walks well on a leash but prefers that strange people and dogs keep their distance- sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s not reactive in any way, she just doesnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t choose to interact with anyone she doesnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t know. Biscuit has come a long way since she first arrived at Coastal. She knows her foster home is a safe place and now feels confident to go on walks without rushing to go back inside. She is going to be an amazing companion if you give her a little time, some patience, and a lot of love. The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500.
