Story
Meet Marley If you're looking for a stunning, trail-ready partner, Marley is your girl. At 2 years old and a lean 50 lbs, this Husky/German Shepherd/Pyrenees mix is the perfect trifecta: she has the athletic build of a Shepherd, the striking blue eyes of a Husky, and the steady nature of a Pyrenees. Marley spent her first two years living exclusively outdoors, which makes her transition to home life even more impressive. She has taken to indoor life beautifully — she is a quiet, polite housemate who is already potty-trained and crate-trained, rarely barks, and is quickly discovering that cuddling is a very worthy indoor activity. Don't let her calm house manners fool you — once she's outside, her Shepherd/Husky engine kicks in. Running is her passion, and this girl means business. She can cover 10 miles like it's a walk in the park, making her the ultimate long-distance running buddy for anyone who’s been waiting for the perfect trail companion. She thrives when she has room to stretch her legs and a job to do, and she will match your pace and then some. Marley has lived alongside kids, dogs, and cats, and is gentle and social with all of them. She has a polite, independent streak, but she is eager to please and responds beautifully to verbal cues. She is the kind of dog who will be right next to you, every step of the way. Marley is a born athlete with a heart of gold. If you are looking for a dog who is equal parts athlete and sweetheart, Marley is your girl. Marley's Perfect Match Securely fenced yard Active family who views time outdoors as a hobby, not a chore  Kids, dogs, and cats welcome  Bonus if you're a runner or hiker looking for a tireless trail companion!  WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED? The Rescue Crew is a foster-based rescue, which means all of our pets are cared for in homes throughout Minnesota. Story
Kenai is a 9-week-old, 16-lb German Shepherd mix named after Little Brother Bear—he's a gentle giant with a big heart! He loves cuddles just as much as playtime. He’s still learning all the puppy basics, including potty training, and currently uses puppy pads while practicing going outside. He has done great in gated puppy spaces. He would benefit from having people home often to tend to his puppy needs.Kenai does well with children and with other dogs, though he will need slow introductions to other dogs for now. He currently lives with cats in his foster home and is mostly uninterested in them.Kenai loves toys of every kind, from ropes and stuffies to puppy chews. He loves to explore the world, romping around with his siblings, then happily settling in for a good nap afterward. As a German Shepherd mix, Kenai will grow into an intelligent and active dog who will thrive with regular exercise and mental enrichment. He will require a fenced yard in his future home to meet his energy needs. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, he is sure to become an amazing companion. Story
Tempo is a 2-year-old Husky mix and a sweet, sensitive guy. At 62 lbs, he has a gentle heart, a curious mind, and a playful streak that comes out once he feels safe. He can be shy at first and prefers slow, respectful introductions, but give him a little time and he’ll happily follow you around the house, lean in for pets, and invite you to play—sometimes by dramatically forcing his face into your arms or chasing his own tail for laughs. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and generally well-behaved, though he can get into mischief like exploring the trash if left alone too long. Tempo has some mild separation anxiety and benefits from being crated when left alone. His favorite toy is a tennis ball that he chews on and chases. Tempo loves being outside and going for walks, and he does best with regular exercise to keep his body and brain happy. He will require a fenced yard in his future home to give him the exercise he needs.Proper introductions will be needed when introducing Tempo to new friends because of his unknown history. He will pull toward dogs on walks like he wants to play, and he hasn’t met a cat directly, but he seems curious when seeing cats outside. Tempo hasn’t met kids yet, but he would likely do well with dog-savvy kids who let him warm up to them.Tempo is looking for a patient home that understands shy dogs, loves daily walks and outdoor time, and is ready to earn the trust—and loyalty—of a truly special sidekick! If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Story
Ollie is a 2–3-year-old Shepherd mix who perfectly balances adventure buddy and cuddlebug. At 40 pounds, he’s big enough to join you on long walks and outdoor fun, but perfectly content to curl up next to you on the couch afterward. He’s happiest when he’s near his people. He was quiet and subdued his first couple of days in foster care, cuddling almost immediately, and grew more playful and confident as he settled in. He’s fully house trained and hasn’t had any accidents in his foster home. Ollie knows “kennel” and will head right into his crate, though he's done well when left out and content to nap for hours.Ollie is great with other dogs and gets very excited when he sees them out and about. He does not have experience with cats or with children, so a proper introduction is recommended. This boy has high energy and will need more than just a quick stroll around the block. Multiple daily walks are recommended, and a fenced yard will be required in his future home to meet his energy needs. His favorite activity is running free and sniffing everything in sight, but also enjoys puzzle toys to keep his smart mind busy. He loves soft or crinkly toys (fair warning: they may not survive long), and he’ll happily chase a tennis ball — he just hasn’t quite grasped the concept of bringing it back. Ollie is the kind of dog who will run with you by day and curl up close by night. Are you ready for Ollie? If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Story
Maxx is a 2-year-old Shepherd with a big body, soft heart, and just a touch of lovable chaos. At nearly 100 pounds, he’s truly a gentle giant who doesn’t quite realize his own size. He loves his belly rubs and will melt down at your feet to ask for one.Maxx is fully house trained but not a fan of being crated (especially with the door closed). He does well having free roam of the home and settles nicely when he feels safe. He’s incredibly people-focused, eager to please, and already showing off his smarts with commands like sit, shake, lay down, stay, come, and even “bang.”Maxx is curious but doesn't have a lot of experience with other dogs and cats, so he will do great with slow introductions. He cannot live in homes with young kids (under 13) simply due to his size — he could easily knock little ones over without meaning to. Older, dog-savvy kids would be a better match. This boy needs an active home. He has lots of energy and will thrive with plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation. Fetch with a ball is a favorite, and he also enjoys keeping watch out the window like the good neighborhood supervisor he is. A securely fenced yard will be required in his future home to meet his energy needs and for safety. He’s a big, goofy, loving dog who just wants to be near his people and be told he’s a good boy (which he is). With the right mix of exercise, structure, and love, Maxx is going to be an incredibly loyal and fun companion. If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450.
