Meet Kai – Your Loyal, Smart, and Lovable Companion! Kai is an affectionate and intelligent pup who is eager to learn and bond with his person. In just a short time, he has formed a deep connection with his foster, proving he is ready to be someone’s devoted best friend. Kai is an energetic dog who thrives on regular exercise and mental stimulation. He currently enjoys 2-3 walks a day but would love even more activity to help build his confidence and work off his puppy energy. His favorite pastime? Destroying any toy you give him (in the most entertaining way possible)! What Kai Needs in a Home: A committed adopter willing to continue his training and provide structure, patience, and love. A family who can help him build confidence, especially around new dogs and when left alone.‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 Plenty of exercise and enrichment to keep his mind and body active.&#226&#157&#163&#239&#184&#143 A person or family who will shower him with love while reinforcing boundaries to help him feel secure. Meet Mack: Your Energetic Adventure Buddy & Cozy Companion! Mack, a vibrant 2-year-old GSP, is a bundle of joy ready to fill your life with adventure and warmth. This handsome boy isn't just full of energy; he's full of enthusiasm for life! A day with Mack: Mack is on the move - a lot! While he's definitely a mover and shaker, he also knows how to unwind. At the end of a fun-filled day, he'll happily snuggle up under the blankets with his favorite people, offering the perfect balance of excitement and comfort. Mack will tell you how he’s feeling (like his happy bark when playing) and he’ll tell you what he wants (with a whine at the door to go out). He’s vocal when playing with his foster dog siblings, all in good fun! He gets along well with other dogs. Is fetch your favorite game? It's Mack's too! He'll happily retrieve any toy or ball you throw, making him the perfect partner for outdoor fun. Beyond his playful spirit, Mack is intelligent and eager to please. He's quickly mastering cues like recall, sit, here, down and shake. While he's still learning some kitchen and leash manners, his quick learning ability makes training a rewarding experience. Loyal, loving and ready for adoption: He really likes his people and wants to join them wherever they are in the house or in the yard. He's adapted seamlessly to his foster family's routines, proving he's ready to become a cherished member of your household. Mack would enjoy a very active forever family, or a home environment that allows him to get his wiggles out. With that adorable face asking you to join him on adventures, how can you say no? Story
Meet Liam – The Sweetest Companion! Liam is an absolute sweetheart with a gentle, loving nature that makes him a joy to have around. He has a special gift for matching his person’s energy—whether that means relaxing quietly by your side or enjoying some playtime. This easygoing, affectionate boy has settled beautifully into home life and is ready to find his forever family! Why You’ll Love Liam: He’s incredibly friendly and affectionate, always wagging his tail to greet new people. A great companion for other dogs—Liam loves to play and gets along well with both male and female dogs. Inside the house, he’s an absolute dream! He’s well-mannered, house-trained, and perfectly happy to curl up on his bed when you’re relaxing. He enjoys food puzzles and peanut butter-stuffed Kongs, keeping himself entertained with these favorites. Liam is learning basic cues at his own pace and is always eager to please. Medical & Training Notes: Liam is recovering well from a recent rear leg amputation and is working on strengthening his remaining back leg. He is currently leash-walking for potty breaks and short walks, building up endurance slowly. While he’s still learning leash manners, he’s making progress every day! He is house-trained and does well when left alone in the living room, where he happily naps while his foster is away. Liam is still decompressing from all the recent changes in his life, but his sweet personality shines through more each day! Liam’s Ideal Home: Liam would thrive in a moderate-to-active household that can continue to support his recovery and gradually build up his strength. He would love another dog in the home to keep him company and play with. Because of his amputation, a home without too many stairs and with non-slippery flooring would be ideal. Due to his prey drive, he should not be in a home with small animals or cats. Are You Liam’s Perfect Match? If you’re looking for an affectionate, easygoing dog who will be your shadow and loyal companion, Liam might be the one for you! He’s looking for a loving family that will continue to spoil him and support him as he regains his strength. In return, he’ll provide endless love, tail wags, and companionship. Could Liam be your new best friend? Apply to adopt him today! Our adoption process begins with our adoption questionnaire: https://norcalgsprescue.org/adoption-questionnaire/ (Please note that we adopt primarily within Northern California and our minimum age for kids is 6) If you'd like to see what Liam's been up to, check out his/her posting in the Available Foster Dogs section: https://norcalgsprescue.org/available-dogs/. That's where you'll find all the latest info about all of our available dogs. Story
Eli is a happy, affectionate, and energetic pup looking for his forever home! This handsome 50-pound boy is a fast learner who loves people and gets along well with small dogs. If you’re searching for a loyal companion who will keep you on your toes and fill your life with joy, Eli might be the perfect fit. What Makes Eli Special? Super Smart: Eli picks up new cues quickly and is currently learning sit, wait, down, and here. He’s even working on fun tricks like spin and pushups! Loves People: Eli is always excited to be around his humans and will eagerly greet you with a wagging tail and happy energy. Does Well with Small Dogs: Eli has done well with a small dog in his foster home. Energetic & Playful: Eli needs at least 30 minutes of full-speed running every day, so an active home with space to run or a commitment to regular exercise is a must! What to Know About Eli: Still Learning: Eli is working on his crate training, fine-tuning his house-training, and improving his leash manners. He walks well unless he gets excited – as his confidence grows, he sometimes forgets his manners. Car Rides: Eli is not a fan of car rides and will need continued patience and training in this area. Home Requirements: Eli would thrive in a home as a solo dog or with a mellow, non-pushy dog who can be a good influence on him. He needs a family who can provide plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to keep him happy. A home with a yard or access to open spaces for running would be ideal. A Few Fun Facts About Eli: His favorite toy? Balls – he loves chasing them! His favorite activity? Running freely in outdoor spaces! His biggest challenge? Confinement and car rides – working on both! If you’re looking for a sweet, active, and affectionate dog who will be your running partner and best friend, Eli is ready to meet you! He’s making great strides every day and just needs the right person to help him continue his journey. Could that be you?
