We are looking for a loving home for our 16-month-old German Shepherd/Husky mix, Obi (DNA results available). He is fully vaccinated, potty trained, and comes with all medical records. He is microchipped (not yet activated). We have had Obi since he was a few months old. He has grown up with our four children (ages 16, 12, 7, and 3). Sadly, our children have developed serious dog allergies, making rehoming necessary. Obi is very friendly, affectionate, great with kids and other animals, and loves hugs. He sometimes jumps up to show love. He enjoys running and playing fetch and would do best in a home with a backyard and space to play. We are looking for a safe, loving home where he will be treated as family. A small rehoming fee may apply. Please message if interested.

Blackjack: ~2 Years old male German Shorthaired Pointer/German Shepherd Mix 75 pounds Neutered Background: This young dog was found roaming the streets of Fairfield in early 2024. The finder notified the local animal control and made "found dog" postings but no one came to claim him. The finder decided to hold onto him during his stray hold period and contacted us for help finding him a new home. We shifted Blackjack to a Lab Rescue foster home in mid-2024. What Blackjack's Foster Says: Blackjack is a handsome ~2-year-old Lab-looking German Shepherd/German Shorthaired Pointer mix who’s 75 pounds of energy, affection, and fun. He may not be a Labrador Retriever, but Blackjack is one-of-a-kind! This resilient, affectionate, and fun-loving boy has all the makings of a devoted family member and is ready to be your next adventure buddy. With a little time and patience, Blackjack will reward you with endless love and companionship. Outdoor Adventurer: Blackjack loves to run, play, and explore. Meet GeraldGerald is a 9-year-old, 65-pound German Shorthaired Pointer with a goofy streak and a big love for people. He’s the kind of dog who makes you smile—especially when he’s trotting around with a stuffed animal or eagerly dropping a ball at your feet for one more throw. Gerald has settled into his foster home well. The first few days were a bit overwhelming for him and he was understandably cautious, but he’s quickly found his footing and is showing his easygoing, affectionate personality. He loves attention, especially chin rubs, and is happiest when he’s included in whatever you’re doing. Despite being a senior, Gerald still enjoys staying active. He gets a daily walk and loves playing chase and fetch—seriously, fetch is a favorite. He brings the ball back, lets you take it, and is ready to go again until your arm gives out. He could benefit from a bit more structured exercise, which will help keep both his body and mind happy. In the house, Gerald is doing well with his manners. He’s house-training nicely and he lets his people know when he needs to go outside. He stays inside the home when left alone and is currently comfortable being on his own for up to four hours. He’s still adjusting to spending time alone, and continues to improve. Gerald knows how to sit and is learning “stay.” On leash, he’s a tall, strong boy and is working on reducing pulling—he’s already making progress. One thing to know about Gerald is that he is very food motivated and can be a bit obsessed with food. In his foster home, he has shown some treat guarding around the resident female dog, which may be related to past hunger or uncertainty. Because of this, he would do best as a solo dog or with a well-matched canine companion and an experienced owner who can manage feeding and treat time thoughtfully. Gerald loves people of all ages and has done well with children ranging from 9 and 11 years old to teenagers. He’s friendly meeting other dogs and likes to say hello. He is not a fit for a home with cats. Gerald would thrive in a home that appreciates a slightly goofy, affectionate GSP who still enjoys playtime but also knows how to relax and enjoy the comforts of home and humans. Meet Remi🌺 Remi is a 3yr old, 40lb German Shorthaired Pointer. Remi is a very sweet girl who is shy and submissive. Remi gets along with all dogs, and does have a prey drive, so no little dogs or small animals. Remi is all about pleasing her person, which is great cause she needs to have basic manners training. Being she is submissive Remi will need a person/family that is gentle with training, who will give her lots of praise to build up her confidence. Remi is spayed, vaccinated, up to date on her rabies vaccine, and she is microchipped.
