Story
Meet Daffodil! Daffodil a sweet 6 year old, 35lb, mini golden doodle mama who was recently rescued from a puppy mill.
Daffodil is sweet and shy. She is currently fostered with 2 children and a cat and is gentle with both. She loves to hang out in her crate as it is her safe space and to chill peacefully at home. She prefers calm environments, so a quiet home in the suburbs would be her dream.
Daffodil is pee pee pad trained and uses pads a majority of the time. She is very quiet, does not bark, and isn't destructive. She is gentle on the leash but is still learning to brave the outdoor world. As she continues her journey of healing, she will need a patient and loving home that will allow her time to come out of her shell at her own pace.
Daffodil is currently fostered in Jersey City. Her adoption fee is $600.
Daffodil is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
