Story
Adoption Fee: $370 + taxes Location: Foster Home **The adoption fee listed above is partially sponsored by a generous donor!** Sasha is a loving, well-mannered 3-year-old looking for a fresh start after her person lost their home. Athletic and affectionate, she’s the perfect adventure buddy—whether it’s jogging, tug-of-war, or snuggling on the couch. Sasha is a fast learner, motivated by both treats and toys, making training fun. She’s always up for an activity. Her favorite pastimes include tug-of-war and going for walks. When the adventure is over, Sasha is the ultimate snuggle buddy! She absolutely loves curling up next to her humans, leaning in for pets, and being as close as possible. Whether it’s lounging on the couch or warming up after a winter walk, she’ll be right by your side, soaking up the love. She has a high prey drive, so she needs a home without small animals. Sasha would do best as the only dog or with a calm, easygoing male dog. She has a bite record from a previous dog-to-dog incident, likely due to overexcitement, so slow, managed introductions are essential. This sweet girl is great for baths, gentle with toys, and full of love to give. Ready to meet your new best friend? 📹 See her in action: 🔗 https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLS5FLiVr89sq3IRfFGj2KPIla9Ic-pab9 Sasha is spayed/neutered, up to date on necessary, age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative, dewormed and microchipped. Story
Hi, I’m Daphne! I’m a 2-3 year old, 75 lb, Great Dane/labrador mix. I’m a lean, sweet, loving machine. A real dog’s dog.I’m told there’s a lot to like about me. I’m a big cuddler and love spending time with my humans. One of my favorite things when I get out of my crate each morning is to do my patented Dane lean against my people and get their scratches. I’ll always greet you at the door with a full body wag to welcome you home. In fact, I’m a bit of a Velcro dog and like to see what you’re up to. Oh, you’re going to the bathroom? Great, I’ll walk you there! I love the end of the day when we meet on the couch to watch movies. I’ll either steal the blankets or become one, depending on the day. Even though I’m tall, I don’t countersurf, and I don’t drool either. I’ve never had an accident in the house, and I’ll let you know when I need to go outside. Everywhere I go people compliment my shiny black coat. I love food, treats, and pleasing my people, which means I’m happy to train and learn from you. I’ve gone to some training classes and have had a lot of time recently to practice my moves: sit, down, stay, come, touch, and watch me. As I said, there’s a lot to like! I love people, some dogs, car rides, walks, sticks, and toys. I like to exercise, like running around my yard and going for long walks. I’m quite an athlete, even though my people sometimes laugh at my more clumsy moments. I also go to daycare a couple of times a week and am an all-star there. I don’t live with children currently. I’m still learning my size, and I like to talk with my paws, so I may accidentally bump or bop you. I also don’t live with a cat or other smaller critters currently, but they can get my attention on walks, so they may not be the best bunkmates for me. My people are heartbroken to be looking for a new home for me: some of their favorite things about me are how affectionate, intuitive, and communicative I am. Unfortunately, their other dog and I are not a good combination. She’s older and prickly to begin with, and I think my upbeat energy bothered her. I can sometimes get worked up on walks. Things that move quickly and other dogs on leashes just get me excited! But with training I’ve already gotten a lot better, and now I can usually let bicyclists and runners go by me without barking. I'm still working on not reacting to other dogs, but I’ve improved there too. I’ve got all my shots and take my monthly preventatives. I would be a really great addition to many homes, so I hope you’ll ask to meet me!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Well, hello there! I’m Falkor, a regal, 100-pound Great Dane, and I’m here to tell you all that I’m a certified cuddle expert! It’s true, snuggling is my absolute favorite thing in the world and if you let me, I’ll happily bury my head in your arms and just soak up the love. I mean sure, I’m a big guy but I have a soft heart that is brimming with love and affection! One of my favorite pastimes is relaxing in my favorite armchair and watching the goings on outside. I’m still figuring out what toys are all about, but blankets, towels, and floppy toys are my jam! I also love going on leashed walks, but I’ll forewarn you - I’m a puller LOL, so, I need a confident human on the other end of the leash to show me how it’s done. Additionally, I love to stretch my legs with a nice, good run around the yard so I would love a fenced in yard or area to do that in.  By the way, I also LOVE pajamas…in fact, if I had it MY way, I’d have a whole closet full of cozy jammies that I could show off! Did I mention that I have great manners? I’m fully potty & crate trained, and I know commands like “come”, “go potty”, and “outside” so you can see I’m quite brilliant! I don’t bark much unless something catches me off guard; and cats beware because I have a high prey drive! I am good with kids however, due to my size, I do better with kids that are large dog savvy. As for other dogs, I prefer larger ones because the small ones tend to make me a bit nervous. Additionally, although I get used to other dogs in the home after some time, I can get a bit growly if I feel another dog is invading my space so I will need a confident forever parent who has experience with large, senior breeds. Truth be told, I like to throw my weight around if I’m looking for pets. Hee, hee!! Anyway, if you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion who’s all about cuddles and calm vibes, I’m your guy. Let’s meet—I can’t wait to find a patient, furever family who will love me unconditionally and NEVER give up on me! Love & cuddles Falkor *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
Welcome Jinx to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 19-month-old Great Dane/Greyhound is our best guess. He is very sweet. He weighs about 70 pounds but is tall and lean. He loves men and is friendly with strangers. He knows sit, good on a leash and good in a kennel. His owner went into hospice and can no longer care for Jinx. Jinx is looking for his forever home. This is a fantastic dog and some lucky family will have a great companion. He appears to be potty trained. He goes in his outside kennel. He doesn’t jump up and is decent on a leash. He knows his name and is very attentive. He loves men naturally but accepts all people. He isn’t too wiggly so he would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. This is a larger dog but he has a wonderful temperament so you will not have to worry with other people or anything. He would be fine going to any social place and strangers petting him without permission. He is lower shedding and not over the top. He is good with other dogs and would be a great companion if you liked to walk, hike or jog. He is an amazing dog and we are fortunate to be looking for his forever home. He is neutered, healthy and ready for his forever home. Anyone who likes a large dog will love this boy. He is not timid like the great danes but is long and larger like one. He will be a head turner anywhere you take him. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Introducing Max! Playful Curious Shy Snuggly Hi, I’m Max! I’m a playful, curious, and sweet Great Dane who loves being part of the family. While I might be a little shy at first—especially around men with hats—once I feel comfortable, I’ll become your loyal and loving companion. My zoomies are pretty legendary, and I promise to fill your days with joy and laughter! I thrive on being included in everything my family does, whether it’s playtime, snuggles, or adventures. I’ve lived with children before and did great with them, though I’m not currently in a home with kids. I get along well with other dogs and tend to be submissive and curious around them. Cats? Well, I’ve been a little scared of them in the past, so I’d need careful introductions if my forever home has feline friends. What I Love: Playtime and running around (zoomies included!). Snuggling with my people—it’s the best! Car rides and exploring new places. Elk antlers and playing with balls. Being involved in all family activities. What I Dislike: Rushed introductions. I need a little time to feel comfortable, especially around men with hats. I’m housebroken and crate-trained. I have handled being crated for 8+ hours as needed while my foster family is at work. In my previous home, I did well with free roam too. I already know commands like sit, come, and down, and I’m working on learning shake. I’m also improving my leash manners and getting used to having my legs and paws touched. With positive reinforcement and some patience, I’ll continue to shine. I’m in great health with no concerns—ready to join my forever family! My Forever Home Wish List: Yard: A midsize to large yard where I can play and zoom around would be amazing. A physical fence isn’t required but would help keep me safe. Companionship: I’d love a home with another dog as a companion and playmate. Family: A family willing to continue my training and be patient during introductions would be the perfect fit. If you’re looking for a fun, loving, and adventurous addition to your family, I’m your guy. Let’s make some amazing memories together—I can’t wait to meet you! Max has a playful spirit and a knack for zoomies that will leave you laughing! When he's not running around, he loves to snuggle and soak up all the attention from his family. If you think Max will be a great addition to your family please reach out to us by following one of the options below. 1. If you have already completed the adoption or foster application process and are an approved adopter with UMGDR, please contact Max’s Placement Coordinator at callie@thegreatdanerescue.com to learn more about her. 2.
