Story
The adoption fee listed above is completely sponsored by a generous donor, so her adoption fee is waived! Sasha is as sweet as they come. This beautiful, well-mannered 4-year-old girl has worked so hard with her trainer and has become an absolute leash-walking champ! She’s fully muzzle-conditioned and happy to wear it! Sasha has never shown any people aggression, but she does have a strong prey drive—so she’ll need to wear her muzzle anytime she’s outside for the safety of our small dog friends and any other small critters in your neighborhood. We’d love to see her future home have a tall privacy fence where she can safely enjoy regular off-leash time without her muzzle. She’s affectionate, loyal, and loves being close to her people—whether it’s relaxing after a long day or joining you on adventures. Sasha does well with other dogs with slow introductions. This sweet girl is gentle with her toys, easy to bathe, and full of love to give. If you’re looking for a loyal, well-trained companion who’s ready for her next chapter, Sasha is your girl! 📹 See her in action: 🔗 Watch Sasha’s playlist All CSHS pups are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative (if older than 6 months), dewormed and microchipped. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Meet Moo — your future 100-pound lap dog with the softest heart and the goofiest, most lovable face. Moo is everything people adore about Great Danes: gentle, affectionate, a little bit silly, and completely devoted to her people. With her big, dopy eyes and sweet “talking” whines, she has a way of communicating that will absolutely steal your heart. Everyone who meets her falls in love—and it’s easy to see why. She’s the perfect mix of laid-back and playful. Moo is a total couch potato at heart and loves lounging nearby or laying at your feet, but she also has bursts of happy, playful energy. She enjoys walks, squeaky toys, and trips to the dog park where she can soak up attention and make new friends. And speaking of friends—Moo has never met a stranger. She is incredibly social and does wonderfully with dogs, cats, kids, and humans of all ages and sizes. She’s the kind of dog who fits seamlessly into a home and makes everyone feel like her favorite person. Moo is potty trained, does great overnight, and does well when left home alone. She knows commands like sit, stay, and “go potty,” and she’s eager to please her people. She walks on a leash but can pull at times—she’s strong, after all!—but she’s already working on improving her manners. She is also trained on an invisible fence. While Moo is not crate trained, she has proven to be a trustworthy and well-behaved girl in the home. She is loyal, obedient, and truly just a big, lovable joy to have around. Moo has also completed treatment for heartworm and is now negative. She will simply need to remain on monthly preventatives for life, to keep her happy and healthy moving forward. If you’re looking for a gentle giant who will fill your home with love, laughter, and the sweetest companionship, Moo is your girl. Bi dog, bigger heart- and she’s ready to gibe it all to her forever family. Note that this dog has been treated for heartworm  and will need monthly heartworm preventatives year round for life. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Story
Meet Misty! She's a smart lady who is smart as a whip! She's crate trained, mastered many commands (sit, down, off, mat, enough, go to your room, here, all done- more than most kids :). She loves to run, play fetch and be wherever you are! She's a year and a half old, and was lucky enough to have professional training donated to help her find her forever home. Whoever adopts her will receive at least one free hand off session from her trainer to help her transition go perfectly! Her ideal family would be somewhat active (she needs to run around a yard at least a few times per day). She gets along well with other dogs, but calmer dogs are best. Misty loves to play, but she can get very excited if the other dog is too energetic! She would do well with older children. Younger children and cats would require a lot of supervision. Her trainer thinks she would be a great agility dog, but she is smart enough to do anything you want to train her to do! She will require some active parenting to teach her the rules of your house, because she is so smart, she may try to make her own activities if nothing fun is provided! She's potty trained now (we had some overnight accidents until she started going in her crate at night). She's a great dog with a good head on her shoulders, and she wants to know if you are the one for her! $200 In State Adoption Fee (in Texas) $400 Out of State Fee (includes Transportation to your area) $50 Temporary fuel surcharge.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Creek… a gentle giant with a heart that’s been waiting far too long for someone to notice it. Creek is a 3-year-old Great Dane, neutered, fully vaccinated, crate and house trained, and ready to leave his past behind for good. This handsome boy came to us from Louisiana, where a busy household with lots of children, simply didn’t have the time or resources to help him thrive. As a result, Creek is currently underweight and needs to gain about 20–30 pounds to reach a healthy, strong condition. Think of him as a masterpiece still in progress… the structure is there, now he just needs the care to truly shine. Despite everything, Creek’s spirit is beautifully intact. He’s a big boy in every sense, and like many Great Danes, he can be protective of his space and his people. At times, he can be overly protective, and with a 100+ pound dog coming toward you, that can absolutely be intimidating. And if your a kid, well he can knock them over easily.  Because of this, Creek will do best with an experienced owner, ideally someone familiar with Great Danes or other giant breeds, who can provide confident leadership and guidance to help him feel secure and balanced and no children, or older children only. But beneath that watchful presence is a deeply loyal companion who is just waiting to bond with “his person.” Once you’re in his circle, you’re in for life. Creek isn’t just a handsome face, he’s got the brains to match. He knows “sit,” “down,” “shake,” and “stay,” and he’s eager to keep learning. He’s the kind of dog who watches you closely, trying to understand, trying to connect… like he’s been waiting for someone to finally show him what home feels like. One of Creek’s favorite things? Other dogs. He truly enjoys canine companionship and would love a doggy friend in his new home to help keep him entertained and build his confidence. A buddy to romp with, relax with, and remind him that life can be good. Creek is looking for a home that understands large breeds and will give him the structure, nutrition, and love he’s been missing. In return, you’ll get a devoted guardian, a soulful companion, and a couch-sized shadow who just wants to be near you. If you’re ready to help Creek write his comeback story… he’s ready to meet you. Apply to adopt Creek at: www.uniteddobermanrescue.org Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.United Doberman Rescue Adoption Process Application Submission: Complete the adoption application thoroughly. Story
Meet Mocha – A Gentle Soul with Special Needs Mocha is a 5-year-old spayed blue Great Dane with the softest heart and one of the most trusting, gentle temperaments you’ll ever meet. She truly adores people; whether you’re family or a brand-new friend, she greets everyone with quiet affection and complete trust. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who bonds deeply with her humans, Mocha is your girl. Mocha is incredibly sweet, mild-mannered, and emotionally tender. She enjoys gentle play, short games of tug or chasing a stuffy for a few minutes at a time, but she’s not overly energetic. She is happiest being near her people and soaking up love. While Mocha is wonderful with humans, she does not enjoy high-energy, in-your-face dogs. Calm, respectful dogs with slow, structured introductions, especially senior or low-energy companions are welcomed. She gains confidence once she knows a dog.  Special Feeding Needs Mocha has a history of intestinal struggles, so her diet is extremely important. She does not need expensive prescription food, but she must remain on a very low-fat diet (5% fat or less).• She does best on soaked low-fat kibble (“mush”) paired with low-fat canned food• Food must be fully soaked for several hours or overnight• She currently eats 4–5 small meals per day• Most canned foods are too high in fat for her—only specific low-fat formulas are safe Because of her condition, Mocha will need an adopter who is committed to:• Careful food selection• Multiple daily feedings• Consistency and monitoring Home & Lifestyle NeedsMocha requires a home where someone is present most of the day to maintain her feeding and potty schedule.• She needs to go outside every 3–4 hours• While she is now housebroken and understands not to go inside, she physically cannot hold it too long• With proper water management and frequent potty breaks, she can stay accident-free Mocha is incredibly smart and resourceful, especially when food is involved, so secure food storage is a must!  The Ideal Home Mocha will thrive in a home that offers:• A calm environment• Low-energy or possibly no other dogs• A structured feeding routine• A flexible schedule for frequent potty breaks• A family that understands medical management and is ready to continue her care The Heart of It All Mocha is truly one of a kind—a soft, soulful, deeply trusting dog who just wants to love and be loved. Her needs are unique, but so is the bond she offers in return. For the right home, Mocha will be an extraordinarily loyal, gentle, and devoted companion. If you have the time, patience, and heart to give this special girl what she needs, Mocha will give you everything she has in return.  ##2627397##
