Hello! My name is Sesame Bean and my delicate but distinctly nutty personality set me apart from the crowd! I am very sociable and love to meet new people! In my spare time, I can be found chewing on my favorite toy while I look around waiting for the action to happen. I am not sure what action, but I am ready for it! I would be the perfect fit for an active household that can help keep me entertained. I enjoy being around other dogs, but am perfectly content to entertain myself as well, My curiosity has led me to be a very fast learner. I am fully kennel and potty trained. Story
Hey there, I am Gordy aka Gordon (when I’m not listening) and Gordito Crunch (when my foster mama is playing with me)! I am a 5 year old Great Dane/Great Pyrenees mix. That just means I’m extra great of course! I have the Great Dane height and body but a Great Pyrenees head with the Pyrenees shedding.  I was originally surrendered as a puppy due to having special back legs. I was adopted to a wonderful family but returned back to rescue because of my sensitivity to frequent visitors. I get that from the Great Pyrenees side - I feel the need to protect my home and yard.  I love hard and love attention from my humans but don’t enjoy people I don’t know initially when they enter my home. I take my job of protecting the home seriously and need my humans to prove to me that they can control and protect the house so I don’t have to worry about it. I really respect boundaries and expectations that are presented to me by my humans!  I  graduated a 5 week board and train program  in 2023. I have strong obedience skills and am looking for a home who can hold me accountable to those skills. I know how to walk well on leash, the place command, heel, come and all of the other skills I need to be a well mannered boy. I am trained with an eCollar and a prong collar for walking. My future family should be comfortable with those training tools.  I really love to play with toys and other dog friends. I’m a total goofball but have shown resource guarding over food with other dogs. I prefer to eat my food and bones in my kennel or in a separate room from other dogs however, as I get older I am much more relaxed. I am also good with cats though have never lived with one.  I really love my kennel. I will sleep there at night, when my foster parents are gone or when there are visitors at the house. I can also be left out to free roam at night though I prefer to sleep next to my foster parents bed or in the hallway so I can keep a watchful eye on my humans.  Remember how I was surrendered as a puppy due to having special legs? Well, I still have special back legs. I was born with slightly twisted femurs so I walk a bit differently and have arthritis in my back knees. I love to run and play but can be sore after playing all day long so I occasionally take gabapentin to help. I also require daily joint supplements to help my bones stay healthy. I have a pet insurance policy that will be transferred to a potential adopter - they will be expected to continue to keep that in place after adopting me.  Foster Mama Here:Gordy is the bestest boy. We fostered him when he was a puppy as well. We do not let him greet new visitors at our house and require him to stay on his bed in a “place” while visitors are here or in his kennel. He does like to meet people slowly and at a good pace. We would walk his adoptive family through the intro process that he is successful with. Once he knows and trusts you he will forever welcome you as a family member of his.  Gordy has so much potential and loves so hard. But he will require owners who can set strict boundaries in the home and hold him accountable. His breed and genetics make him want to protect his home and people but if you a set boundaries he is such a great listener. We walk him on a prong collar and he is eCollar trained. His adopters will need to commit to continued use of these training tools and also meeting with his board and train trainer to learn about everything he knows. Gordy is muzzle trained. He is great at the groomer! Gordy loves the snow and playing outside. His favorite is his doggy pool in the summer. We have 4 other dogs in our home and he plays with all of them.  Gordy lived with kids in his first home. He was very protective over them so we do not recommend he go to a home with children under the age of 12. He could thrive in the country as he will bark when he sees humans and dogs walking by the home. ##954057##

Story
Meet Mocha – A Gentle Soul with Special Needs Looking for an Adoptive or Permanent Foster Home Mocha is a 7-year-old spayed blue Great Dane with the softest heart and one of the most trusting, gentle temperaments you’ll ever meet. She truly adores people; whether you’re family or a brand-new friend, she greets everyone with quiet affection and complete trust. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who bonds deeply with her humans, Mocha is your girl. Considering all she’s gone through, as she was found wandering on the streets and had to have a couple of surgeries to remove some benign tumors, Mocha is incredibly sweet, mild-mannered, and emotionally tender. She enjoys gentle play, short games of tug or chasing a stuffy for a few minutes at a time, but she’s not overly energetic. She is happiest being near her people and soaking up love. While Mocha is wonderful with humans, she does not enjoy high energy, in-your-face dogs. Calm, respectful dogs with slow, structured introductions, especially senior, small or low-energy companions are welcomed. She gains confidence once she knows a dog. Due to her special needs, Mocha is currently residing in the Sanctuary. But what she truly deserves is a home, with a loving family that she can love in return. While we try to make her feel welcome and loved, the Sanctuary is still not a real home environment. We would love to see this girl with a couch or bed and family to call her own. To that end, we are seeking a permanent foster for Mocha. What does being a Permanent Foster home mean? The rescue is covering the cost of Mocha’s special food and meds, no matter where she lives. We are offering to put Mocha in a loving home with a family of her very own, while continuing to cover the extra expense her condition entails. She will legally still belong to the rescue, but for all practical purposes would be your dog. All you need to do is offer her the love, structure and watchfulness she is used to. Special Feeding NeedsMocha has a history of intestinal struggles, so her diet is extremely important. She does not need expensive prescription food, but she must remain on a very low-fat diet (5% fat or less).• She does best on soaked low-fat kibble (“mush”) paired with low-fat canned food• Food must be fully soaked for several hours or overnight• She currently eats 4–5 small meals per day• Most canned foods are too high in fat for her—only specific low-fat formulas are safe Because of her condition, Mocha needs a home that is committed to:• Careful food selection• Multiple daily feedings• Consistency and monitoring Home & Lifestyle Needs. Mocha requires a home where someone is present most of the day to maintain her feeding and potty schedule. Mocha is incredibly smart and resourceful, especially when food is involved, so secure food storage is a must!  The Ideal HomeMocha will thrive in a home that offers:• A calm environment• Low-energy, small or possibly no other dogs• A structured feeding routine• A flexible schedule for potty breaks• A family that understands medical management and is ready to continue her care The Heart of It AllMocha is truly one of a kind—a soft, soulful, deeply trusting dog who just wants to love and be loved. Her needs are unique, but so is the bond she offers in return. For the right home, Mocha will be an extraordinarily loyal, gentle, and devoted companion. If you have the time, patience, and heart to give this special girl what she needs, Mocha will give you everything she has in return. ##2627397##

Story
Meet Moo, a 15-week-old Great Dane/Lab mix (best guess!) with adorable cow-like spots, extra-long legs, and an even bigger heart. At 29 pounds already, this handsome pup is expected to grow into an extra-large adult, and he is looking for a patient family to help him blossom into the amazing dog he is meant to be.Moo is a gentle, affectionate boy who forms strong bonds with the people he loves. Once he gets to know you, he becomes a total cuddle bug who wants nothing more than to be close by. He is wonderfully goofy, a little awkward as he grows into those long legs, and guaranteed to make you smile with his silly antics. He is determined to get onto the bed for snuggles, loves rolling in the grass, and sleeps in the cutest positions imaginable. This smart puppy is already learning quickly. He knows "sit" and "down," is very food motivated, and is making great progress with potty training. He is also learning that his crate is a safe place and continues to improve with a consistent routine.Moo loves playing with other dogs and enjoys squeaky toys, puppy chews, and chasing a flirt pole. While another dog is not required, he would likely enjoy having a confident canine companion to help show him that new experiences are fun. He has also been respectful and curious with the resident cat in his foster home and could likely live successfully with cats after slow introductions.Moo is still building confidence with new people and unfamiliar situations, so he is looking for a family that will continue helping him discover that the world is a safe and exciting place. Positive training, socialization, and patience will go a long way with this eager young pup. He is vocal and loves being close to his people, so he would be happiest with someone home often or with a canine companion to keep him company, especially during his first year as he gains confidence. Because he can be vocal, Moo is not a good fit for homes with shared walls. Because he is expected to become a very large dog and is still in his playful puppy stage, he is looking for a home with children who are at least 13 years old. With his sweet nature, loyal heart, and eagerness to learn, Moo has everything it takes to become an incredible lifelong companion. If you're ready to help this lovable boy continue growing in confidence while sharing plenty of cuddles along the way, Moo is ready to meet you.If you are interested in Moo, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $550. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

These pups are in Edina, Minnesota too!

Dakota is a handsome name, kind of a "rugged" kind of name, right?? I am kind of a REFINED RUGGED kind of boy! NOT!! I am a snuggle bug looking for tummy scratches....I willl MELT for one!! Here is what one of our amazing fosters have to say about Dakota...."Super freaking sweet, loves loves belly rubs, is very strong when you walk him but listens well. VERY treat motivated and knows sit down paw and i just taught him roll over yesterday but its a work in progress 😝. Super playful, he will pounce around you and then roll over for belly rubs and absolutely melts for the belly rubs and kisses" I love playing and running with my doggy friends, however, I can lay at your feet very sweetly to beg for your attention. I am kind of like a "reverse" planter as well. I mean, you plant it and i will un-plant it for you :D I won't do it often, just when I want your attention and I am outside alone. So see?? you have great control over that urge! So I am a food and toy lover too, I eat out of a slow feeder bowl because wolfing down my food is not an option! I am learning all things toys and am actually learning how to bring the ball BACK after you throw it. I am a smart and very sweet boy. I do absolutely have a prey drive so no kitties for small furry mammals around me please. I am fully potty trained and great in a crate. Now i just need you to adopt me to complete my circle of life. Now, before you go all "Lion King" on me, just know that I will be your bestest buddy forever!! I am two VERY loyal breeds and once I know you are my family, you will have my unending love :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet HollyBerry ✨🍓 4 years old | 65 lbs | Certified Goofball | Professional Best Friend If joy had a mascot, it would be HollyBerry — and she would be sprinting toward you at full speed with a toy in her mouth and zero personal space boundaries. 😄 💖 THE GOOD STUFF (aka: Why You’ll Fall in Love Instantly) ✅ Sweet as pie (like… the kind your grandma brags about) ✅ Professional goofball — laughs guaranteed ✅ Endless energy — always ready for an adventure ✅ Elite-level cuddler — snuggles are her superpower ✅ Social butterfly — LOVES people ✅ Confidence: 100/10 ✅ Eager to please — truly wants to be a good girl ✅ Fetch champion — seriously, she lives for it 😅 THE “LET’S BE HONEST” SECTION ❌ Thinks chain-link fences are more of a suggestion than a rule ❌ Can have a little too much fabulousness for some dogs ❌ Too big + enthusiastic for small kids and cats ❌ Likes to gently hold your hand… with her mouth (it’s weirdly sweet, we promise) 🐾 THE HEARTBEAT BEHIND THE GOOBER Holly’s story is one of second chances and big hope. Over a year ago, she was just moments away from being euthanized in a rural Texas shelter. She was saved in the nick of time and moved to what was supposed to be a temporary outdoor setup. But temporary turned into a long wait. And Holly? She’s still waiting. Despite it all, she is overflowing with love. She adores people, lives for affection, and will happily melt into you for belly rubs. She’s smart, playful, eager to learn, and wants nothing more than to belong to someone. Fetch is her jam. Cuddles are her currency. Love is her whole personality. She dreams of: 🏡 A secure, tall-fenced yard 🛋️ A couch (or your lap… or both) 💛 A human who chooses her forever Holly isn’t just looking for a home — she’s looking for her person. Someone who sees her big heart, her goofy grin, and her unstoppable love, and says “You’re mine.” ✨ If you’re ready for laughter, loyalty, and a dog who will adore you with her entire soul, HollyBerry is waiting. Apply now at haydudeequine.org and give this girl the happy ending she’s been dreaming of. 💖
