Add in an easy going sweet funny personality and you've got a delightful family member just waiting to happen! Avery is the smallest of the siblings but being the runt of the litter hasn't stopped her from rolling and tumbling with the best of 'em! Ava is of moderate energy, loves playing with her siblings and getting cuddles from her people. At 3 months old and 15lbs she will be on the larger size of 60-80ish lbs when fully grown. So you can let the fun begin! Your little side kick thru thick and thin. Your cuddle buddy, your confidant, your travel companion, your stroll taking/hiking pawtner, whatever you want to do, where ever you want to go, she'll be happy to be right there with you. ALL our dogs reside in foster homes in TX, Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Isabella - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life!! The name Isabella has a unique and captivating personality that is both gentle and strong. They value love and harmony in their lives. That's me, and in my golden years I treasure that the most! At between 5 and 6 years young I have a lot of love to give. And at my age I don't need much more then love, food and a soft place to lay my head. There are many great benefits when adding an older dog vs a puppy to your family - I am already house trained, I don't need constant monitoring like puppies do. You won't have to guess how big I'll be when fully grown, what you see is what you get.. At my 100lbs, I am a big gal but I'm calm and well behaved. We also tend to bond with our people very quickly and are very grateful. We are already out of the puppy destructiveness stage, your shoes are safe if you leave then laying around. I would love to have the pleasure of accompanying you on neighborhood strolls or some milder nature hikes or just sit by your side at the park to squirrel watch. I don't require much in the way of grooming, I'm pretty low maintenance in that department, which just means when you're ready to go I am too. I just gotta get my leash. I come by my beauty naturally, inside and out. My beautiful soul is matched with my gorgeous black coat that is mingled with some awesome silver wisdom highlights! This much beauty doesn't come from a bottle!! ;) I'm easy going and have a gentle demeanor, what I don't have...yet, is YOU!!

Marley is a big senior boy who is just looking for a couch to lay on, a yard to play in, and a human or two to love!  He has a lot of dog reactivity so he's not going to be the dog you can walk through your busy neighborhood with ease if there are dogs around, and he'll need to be put away if other dogs make their appearance to your home.  He has some arthritis in legs that is currently being monitored to determine if pain meds are needed.  He loves to zoomie around the yard, and loves extra snuggles on his own time.  Do you have it in your heart to take in an old boy?  ##1574597##

Story
Hey there, I am Gordy aka Gordon (when I’m not listening) and Gordito Crunch (when my foster mama is playing with me)! I am an almost 3 year old Great Dane/Great Pyrenees mix. That just means I’m extra great of course!  I have the Great Dane height and body but a Great Pyrenees head with the Pyrenees shedding.  I was originally surrendered as a puppy due to having special back legs. I was adopted to a wonderful family but recently was surrendered back to rescue because I can be a strong personality. I get that from the Great Pyrenees side.  I love hard and love attention from my humans but don’t enjoy people I don’t know initially. I take my job of guarding the home seriously and need my humans to communicate and prove to me that they can control and protect the house so I don’t have to worry about it.  I recently spent a month with a really nice lady who taught me really fun things like walking well on leash, a strong place command, heel, come and all of the other skills I need to be a well mannered boy.  I really love to play with toys and other dog friends as long as they are not dominant. I’m a total goofball but have shown resource guarding over food with other dogs. I prefer to eat my food and bones in my kennel.  I really love my kennel. I sleep there at night and when my foster parents are gone. I will counter surf if left unattended.  Remember how I was surrendered as a puppy due to having special legs? Well, I still have special back legs. I was born with slightly twisted femurs so I walk a bit differently and have arthritis in my back knees. I love to run and play but can be sore after playing all day long so I occasionally take gabapentin to help. I also require daily joint supplements to help my bones stay healthy.  I currently take anxiety meds daily. I have been on these since I was young to help with my desire to protect the home. These meds cost about $90 for a 90 day supply so any future adopter needs to be able to continue to pay for regular medications.  Foster Mama Here: Gordy is the bestest boy. We fostered him when he was a puppy as well. We do not let him greet visitors at our house and require him to stay on his bed in a “place” while visitors are here. He is also happy to stay in his kennel. He does like to meet people slowly and at a good pace. Once he knows and trusts you he will forever welcome you as a family member of his.  Gordy has so much potential and loves so hard. But he will require owners who can set strict boundaries in the home and hold him accountable. His breed and genetics make him want to protect his home and people but if you a set boundaries he is such a great listener.  We walk him on a prong collar and he is eCollar trained. His adopters will need to commit to continued use of these training tools and also meeting with his board and train trainer to learn about everything he knows.  Gordy loves the snow and playing outside. His favorite is his doggy pool in the summer. We have 4 other dogs in our home and he plays with all of them.  Gordy lived with kids in his first home. He was very protective over them so we do not recommend he go to a home with children under the age of 12. ##954057##

Story
Hi, I'm Cinder! I'm a tall 1.5 year old Great Dane! My foster mom says that I'm a really good puppy. I think she means that I'm really easy going and not always full of the devil for my age. She also tells me all the time that I'm a very good girl. I'm friendly with everybody and I'm always happy. I can be talkative at times but I'm not sassy. I am perfectly potty trained. I sleep on my dog bed but really would prefer to cuddle with my people in bed. I am currently living with 2 special needs female Danes, 2 kiddos 11 & 15, and my foster mom and dad. I have a medical condition called mega esophagus. It's really not too bad and my foster mom is helping me manage it. I take some medication for it, she soaks my kibble in water, feeds me from a raised feeders, and she even makes me treats made from jello because I can't tolerate crunchy treats. I probably won't grow out of this condition but I don't think it will get any worse. I would like a friend to play with in my new home and maybe even a kiddo or two. I like to play fetch, tug of war, and rough and tumble with one of the dogs here. Come meet me and I know you'll just want to take me home! ##1459688##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi! My name is Charlie. I’m a 2-year-old fun loving, healthy, spayed female fawnequin Great Dane. I’m a little cautious at first when meeting new people but I warm up quickly and will be begging for pets and play with you in no time! I’ve had a few homes in my brief life already, so I’m still learning to trust people and how to behave in their homes. I’m a super happy excitable girl and very eager to please. I sometimes even try to predict what you want (which MUST be doggy kisses, cuddles, sitting in your lap, and puppy eyes!). Giving affection is my favorite thing to do. I’m also quite inquisitive, curious, and enjoy exploring everywhere. Nothing within my reach is safe, especially food – I’m an expert counter-surfer. I love to sniff everywhere and everything. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in sniffing that I miss things going on around me. When I’m in the “sniff zone” I may not hear you calling me and may start to wander. Because of this, I’ll do best in home with a fenced yard. Due to my adventurous behavior I’m not really trusted to free roam, in fact I take advantage of any unsupervised moment to start exploring and maybe find a treasure or two to take back to my bed. I’m learning to behave better on a leash, but I’m a very strong girl that likes to lead the way. I know basic commands and amworking on patience during feeding time. Sometimes I need reminders, but I know Sit, Lay Down, Drop-It, Wait, Come, Bed, and my favorite command Good Girl which means they want lots of kisses! I’m potty trained, muzzle trained, and enjoy my crate as my personal “safe place” and is also where I spend the night when everyone else goes to bed. Oh, and I love car rides! I’m really well behaved in the car. I have a lot of energy and love to play with my foster mom and dad as well as with my own toys. I would love to have a friend to play with in my new home, whether it’s another robust and playful dog or human to spend my days with. I’m just probably not a good fit for a house with young children, because I simply don’t know my own size and strength. The Good: Good with other active dogs Crate, muzzle, house trained Affectionate and intelligent Considerations: Unknown with cats but hasn’t shown much of a prey drive Needs continued leash training Is too adventurous and curious to free-roam NOTE FROM FOSTER –Charlie will do well in a more active home but not a chaotic one, as she can get stressed and not know how to react. In cases like this, she tends to run and hide in her “safe space” which is her bed or crate. Charlie cannot be trusted to free-roam without supervision. I would recommend the continued use of a kennel or a safe and secure room for her if you plan to be out of the house for any length of time. She does tend to get into things if left unsupervised. Although she is social and does well with other dogs, I would recommend performing a slow introduction to other dogs, as she has had other dogs react to her in a negative manner. She is muzzle trained and it’s proven to be a safe and effective way to introduce her to other dogs. Charlie loves outings but gets nervous in busy public locations. She is learning to walk more on a leash and harness but would love a large, fenced yard for her to run and do zoomies. Charlie is so affectionate and loveable, the sweetest girl you’re likely to meet! ##1719623##

Story
Hello, I'm Circe (sir-see). I'm an 11 month old ball of fun! My foster mom says I'm the definition of the energizer bunny mixed with being a velcro dog. In my foster home I have 3 other doggos to play with and I LOVE it but i also love people. When I am not playing or tired I want to be snuggled with my person. I used to sleep in the kennel, but I am a good girl all night and prefer to be in bed with my people. I am fully potty trained and kennel trained. When I was brought to my foster she was told I had a lot of anxiety and I think I just needed a friend around and would really like to have one who likes to play in my forever home. I have been known to eat toys in the past, but have had no issues with that since coming into foster. It sounds like I might prefer eating cat toys more than dog toys. I enjoy playing tug of war and keep away with my foster sister (another dane). I have been good meeting other dogs, but I'm a little too rough with cats so it may be best of there are none in the home. A fenced in yard where I can run would be ideal since I have so much energy. I would also benefit from obedience classes. My foster mom says I listen better each day as I get more comfortable but could use more training to be my best. All in all I am a good girl who just wants to give all my love all the time. Are you the right place for me? ##1645427##

The rain falls mainly on the plain..... wait... the BREEZE blows mainly on the TREEZE :) That sounds good, right?? I am Breeze and I will create a turnado when I run past you!! I am a quick girl with a little "hitch" in my giddyup, however, that does NOT slow this energizer bunny down! I have the SWEETEST personality EVER! I have the SMILE that lights up a room and I have the perseverance of a triathlete- all in one BEAUTIFUL PACKAGE :) I LOVE PEOPLE, I LOVE OTHER DOGS, I LOVE RUNNING and I am getting to LOVE my wheelchair for longer walks and stability. *****THANK YOU JASON PARKER WITH GUNNAR'S WHEELS FOR MY OWN WHEELS!!****** Now don't get me wrong, I can keep up with the busiest person, I just look a little wonky while I am keeping up. And actually it is RATHER cute, however, for the long hikes/walks/mountain climbs...I will need the wheelchair so i don't get tired before the top!! I am a sweet girl, have a burn mark on my back that no one is really sure where it came from- I was saved from the pound with a whole gaggle of puppies that were only about a week old and GINORMOUS! I weigh in about 75 pounds and am a smallish Bullmastiff. My boyfriend apparently was much bigger cause the kids got HIS size. So I am ready for furever, never to suffer again.... I want a NICE home, a NICE family, a NICE life please!! I am only about 4 yrs old so don't make me wait much longer!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
