Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi there! My name is Hercules, and I’m a 3 year old Great Dane. I’m on the smaller side on the Dane scale, but definitely still 100lbs of love and energy.  A few things about me, I love to run and play with toys, I’m very loyal, I’m ok with sleeping all day or I’m happy to help you around the house with all your tasks. I love to be involved and part of the party. If you’re doing things that I can’t help with, I’m very content in my massive kennel where I sprawl out and chew a bone, or cuddle up in a ball and nap. Some things that are important to know before meeting me is my foster mom is adamant I go to someone or a family that understands large breeds, how to keep me safe, and most importantly how to read my body language. Per the Great Dane breed I’m a bit judgmental at first and prefer to meet new people out of my kennel, with my handler near, and I like to be the one that decides if I want to come to you and when. Once I feel calm and get a good wif of your vibes, then I’ll let you know you’re cool by letting you pet my back and booty. Deep down I’m a big cuddly lap dog that loves to lean into yah to relax but sometimes getting to that takes me a little time. I’m hopeful that whoever adopts me will give me plenty of time to bond with them directly before I start meeting a lot of new people and pups. Speaking of fellow pups, I tend to do well with most other dogs, but like everything introductions should be slower and controlled. I was intact till just a bit ago so between my size and manly posture and lingering testosterone still flowing through my body it tends to be other dogs that don’t like me first and then I choose based on their reaction to not really care for them. My foster mom runs a dog boarding business out of our home so I do get a ton of exposer every day to new dogs and random people from time to time and she is happy to help anyone that is interested in adopting me move forward with training, behavioral & posture explanations so you will know all my cues and can take over as my person so I can live a long healthy life with you going forward. I know my bio blip is a little longer than just Im a cute cuddly puppy, but I promise you that I’m a gosh darn good pup that’s really looking to settle in to their forever home and love on someone everyday. And just a reminder if my pictures don’t do justice - I’m extremely Handsome and 10/10 puppy eyes  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination:  Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.  We do not guarantee this determination. Story
Hi, I’m Daphne! I’m a 2-3 year old, 75 lb, Great Dane/labrador mix. I’m a lean, sweet, loving machine. A real dog’s dog.I’m told there’s a lot to like about me. I’m a big cuddler and love spending time with my humans. One of my favorite things when I get out of my crate each morning is to do my patented Dane lean against my people and get their scratches. I’ll always greet you at the door with a full body wag to welcome you home. In fact, I’m a bit of a Velcro dog and like to see what you’re up to. Oh, you’re going to the bathroom? Great, I’ll walk you there! I love the end of the day when we meet on the couch to watch movies. I’ll either steal the blankets or become one, depending on the day. Even though I’m tall, I don’t countersurf, and I don’t drool either. I’ve never had an accident in the house, and I’ll let you know when I need to go outside. Everywhere I go people compliment my shiny black coat. I love food, treats, and pleasing my people, which means I’m happy to train and learn from you. I’ve gone to some training classes and have had a lot of time recently to practice my moves: sit, down, stay, come, touch, and watch me. As I said, there’s a lot to like! I love people, dogs, car rides, walks, sticks, and toys. I like to exercise, like running around my yard and going for long walks. I’m quite an athlete, even though my people sometimes laugh at my more clumsy moments. I also go to daycare a couple of times a week and am an all-star there. I don’t live with children currently. I’m still learning my size, and I like to talk with my paws, so I may accidentally bump or bop you. I also don’t live with a cat or other smaller critters currently, but they can get my attention on walks, so they may not be the best bunkmates for me. My people are heartbroken to be looking for a new home for me: some of their favorite things about me are how affectionate, intuitive, and communicative I am. Unfortunately, their other dog and I are not a good combination. She’s older and prickly to begin with, and I think my upbeat energy bothered her. I can sometimes get worked up on walks. Things that move quickly and other dogs on leashes just get me excited! But with training I’ve already gotten a lot better, and now I can usually let bicyclists and runners go by me without barking. I'm still working on not reacting to other dogs, but I’ve improved there too. I’ve got all my shots and take my monthly preventatives. I would be a really great addition to many homes, so I hope you’ll ask to meet me!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Introducing Nyx! Playful Affectionate Outgoing Snuggly Hi, I’m Nyx! I’m a playful, affectionate, and outgoing young Great Dane who absolutely loves being close to my people. Whether we’re snuggling on the couch or playing in the yard, I always want to be by your side. I’m eager to learn, full of love, and always ready for a new adventure! I’m a total Velcro-Dane—I like to follow my people everywhere and be part of whatever’s going on. I even enjoy meeting new people and have been affectionate with strangers! I have been doing well meeting adults and children. When it comes to other dogs, I’m all about playtime! I love to wrestle and chase my foster siblings, and I tend to be submissive around more dominant dogs. I’ve also met ferrets and a cat, and I pretty much ignore them—I don’t have a strong prey drive. What I Love: Snuggling: The closer I am to my people, the happier I am. Playing with other dogs: Wrestling and chasing my canine friends is so much fun! Training sessions: I love learning new things, especially when treats are involved. Morning zoomies: The best way to start my day! Carrying toys around: I like to have a toy with me—it’s comforting and fun! What I Don’t Love: Being left alone for too long: I’m happiest when I have company. Cold weather: It makes potty training a little tricky, but I’m working on it! Not touching my person in the car: I’d really prefer to have access to you! I’m incredibly smart and eager to please! I already know sit, leave it, center, touch, and turn around. Right now, I’m working on heel, off, stay, and down. I still pull on the leash when I get excited, but my foster family is helping me improve. Sometimes, I jump when I’m really happy, so I’ll need my forever family to continue working with me on that. I have been known to display some resource guarding towards people and dogs, so I will need someone committed to helping me with this behavior. I am mostly housebroken, with just an occasional accident at times. I also do well with getting in the car. I’m in great health with no known medical concerns! Since I’m not yet spayed, my adoption contract will include a spay clause. Forever Home Wish List: A physical fence isn’t required, but it is recommended so I have a safe place to zoom around. Any yard size is fine as long as I get daily exercise. A family that isn’t gone for more than 6 hours at a time would be best for me. Any children should be at least 10 years old. Another dog in the home would be amazing! I thrive when I have a canine companion. A patient, loving family willing to continue my training and socialization. Fun Fact: My playful puppy clumsiness makes me endlessly entertaining! Whether I’m zooming around, tossing my toys in the air, or trying to figure out where my big paws are going, I’m guaranteed to make you smile. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly, and fun-loving Dane to be your best friend, I might just be your perfect match. I can’t wait to meet you! Her goofy, affectionate nature will make her a perfect companion for the right family! Story
Introducing Max! Playful Curious Shy Snuggly Hi, I’m Max! I’m a playful, curious, and sweet Great Dane who loves being part of the family. While I might be a little shy at first—especially around men with hats—once I feel comfortable, I’ll become your loyal and loving companion. My zoomies are pretty legendary, and I promise to fill your days with joy and laughter! I thrive on being included in everything my family does, whether it’s playtime, snuggles, or adventures. I’ve lived with children before and did great with them, though I’m not currently in a home with kids. I get along well with other dogs and tend to be submissive and curious around them. Cats? Well, I’ve been a little scared of them in the past, so I’d need careful introductions if my forever home has feline friends. What I Love: Playtime and running around (zoomies included!). Snuggling with my people—it’s the best! Car rides and exploring new places. Elk antlers and playing with balls. Being involved in all family activities. What I Dislike: Rushed introductions. I need a little time to feel comfortable, especially around men with hats. I’m housebroken and crate-trained. I have handled being crated for 8+ hours as needed while my foster family is at work. In my previous home, I did well with free roam too. I already know commands like sit, come, and down, and I’m working on learning shake. I’m also improving my leash manners and getting used to having my legs and paws touched. With positive reinforcement and some patience, I’ll continue to shine. I’m in great health with no concerns—ready to join my forever family! My Forever Home Wish List: Yard: A midsize to large yard where I can play and zoom around would be amazing. A physical fence isn’t required but would help keep me safe. Companionship: I’d love a home with another dog as a companion and playmate. Family: A family willing to continue my training and be patient during introductions would be the perfect fit. If you’re looking for a fun, loving, and adventurous addition to your family, I’m your guy. Let’s make some amazing memories together—I can’t wait to meet you! Max has a playful spirit and a knack for zoomies that will leave you laughing! When he's not running around, he loves to snuggle and soak up all the attention from his family. If you think Max will be a great addition to your family please reach out to us by following one of the options below. 1.
