Story
I've been taking care of BOYO on what was supposed to be a temporary basis but it turns out that his owner is not going to be able to take him back. Boyo is a big, very gentle, sweetheart of a dog but I'm a senior & live in a small trailer. its not fair to Boyo. He gets along with dogs, cats and kids. He's got his vet records showing he's up to date on everything. I am looking for Boyo’s excellent permanent home and won't settle for anything less. Peter

Blue is a 3 year old gentle giant Great Pyrenees with a heart of gold and a smile that lights up a room. This boy was saved from an overcrowded Bakersfield shelter and is loyal to the core. He loves to be with people and kids 13 years and older and will lay his head on your lap for as long as you let him. Blue loves to play with other dogs. He is the sweetest soul with the softest white coat and ocean blue eyes and is ready to be a part of your family. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. The Lovejoy Foundation, Inc. does not adopt beyond a 30 mile radius from our headquarters in Inglewood. Sometimes exceptions are made in a particular situation for an adopter further out than 30 miles which is at the discretion of the director.

Lily Rose is a gorgeous 4 month old female Great Pyrenees who was discovered as a stray hiding under a truck and covered in oil. Once this little girl was rescued by one of our rescuers Tina and all cleaned up, her beautiful fluffy white coat shined through. She is absolutely adorable and all things lovable puppy. She has a playful spirit, loves her walks, and loves to play with other dogs. She’s good with kids. Jolene and her babies were left tied to the front door and babies in a box. just hour old at the local shelter.  Jolene and her babies will be ready at the end of October, beginning of November, when they have been altered and up to date on shots and micro-chipped.  There are 7 boys and 2 girls plus Momma Jolene. Adoption fees for the Puppies will be $650.00 and Jolene's fee will be $500.00.
