“Meet Jaxon! This 3 year old Great Pyrenees, is large, in charge, and ready to rule your roost/couch! Jaxon can organize a toy mess in under 30 seconds and he can return a ball to you even faster. His favorite activities are making sure his people and home are safe, picking up litter on walks so you can discard it (cares about his environment!), and babysitting tennis balls. What he lacks in small-ness he makes up for in the puppy playfulness. He’s crate-trained, good on a leash with harness, and mostly house-trained (so close!). His foster home includes both cats and dogs and he prefers his kitty friends. Interested adopters should expect a couple rounds of dog-testing with any existing dogs (low energy females preferred) and some warm-up time with men.” Age: 3 years old approx Weight: approx 65 lbs Temperament: Gets along with adults, kids, dogs Training: house trained. Story

Odin is a truly handsome, young, 88 pound, Great Pyr boy that was born 1/2/23 and is looking for a family to love and chill with. This big boy is fully grown and is the so very easy going and good natured. He was raised with his brother Thor on a country property owned by a senior lady who has come to realize that both the brothers need homes where they can be an inside dog and part of the family. She cannot provide that and so is now willing to let each one go to separate families that might have children (he loves children) and to be a part of maybe even living with other dogs or cats. He is good with everyone he meets and all creatures. This boy is not housebroken as he has never been inside for any length of time to learn the rules and the signals for potty breaks. He is a loving and easy dog to have around and we want him to become a part of a family life that offers him a big dog bed and lots of love and guidance. He is good with meeting new people and doesn’t bark excessively at all. He will bark if he is bored outside in a pen. He plays nicely and is fun and happy. Curious Civic is our most handsome freckled face, 80 lbs. Great Pyrenees mix boy that is just so laid-back guy that is just so wonderful to consider for an adoption. He has a beautiful blue eye and that could be from so many different breed mixtures that influence his good looks. This boy is under a year of age and at times can be dog selective if there is an alpha that tries to dominate him. He is just won’t take being pushed around. Most Great Pyrs will not. It is their breed and nature of the breed. He walks great on a leash, enjoys car rides and has a nice disposition that is loving and mild mannered. He would be a wonderful couch companion for watching anything YOU want on TV. Bowman, Bowman, Bowman! What a handsome boy you and what a little rascal you are at the same time. Loving, cuddly, shy, and yet outgoing when he feels secure, this handsome puppy is looking for a home to grow tall and strong within. He is a 6 month old Great Pyr/Lab mix that is 55 pounds and growing each and every day toward his goal of 75-80 pounds. He has the cutest freckles sprinkled across his ears and face and he has a nice soft white coat of fur. Bowman can be the typical pupster that will chew your phone charger cord if YOU the human is careless and leaves it accessible and actually any other cord that looks deliciously close or on the floor is totally in danger for a good investigative chew. He is pretty much housebroken and he is good in a fenced yard where he can just hang out and enjoy the great outdoors. He will bark for a little while after you leave him crated when leaving the house but must be crated and slowly he’s submitting to that reality. Another dog in the family would be a delight and wholehearted welcomed by Bowman. He is fine with cats, children are fun to play with (he frolics now with a neighbor 3 year old toddler) and dog parks are nothing short of “Disneyland for Dogs” in his eyes. He is pretty good on a leash and getting better daily with practice. We think a work from home or stay at home mom environment would be excellent for him and some children would be a plus, another dog a plus but neither is a necessity. Just company for Bowman is all that we are seeking. He is still polishing so much of his compliant personality. The Great Pyr persona is there deeply engrained in his soul. He would NOT be an apartment or townhouse candidate unless you can take him outside for hours daily to explore. Bowman fits in but he does have needs when he lives with you. Company is the biggest need and above all LOVE! LOTS OF LOVE AND SNUGGLE TIME. Meet cuddly Mario. He is a brown, dusted with black, and white Great Pyrenees mix born 12/25/2022. He is going to be big! He is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and has been given a ProHeart 6 for heartworm protection. His adoption donation is $450.00 and the transport fee $165.00. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Ms. Lady is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees mix who is super sweet, friendly with people and dogs and who would probably would be fine with cats because of her easy-going disposition. She is crate trained and housetrained but could use more leash training - she is rarely leashed as she has a big beautiful backyard to run around in her foster home in Texas! Lady has been thriving in foster as she recovers from Valley Fever. Although she has no symptoms, she must stay on the meds until her bloodwork comes back negative with a few more months on the meds. Lady is already fully vetted and other than the Valley Fever she is healthy, heartworm negative, has no tick borne diseases and is on monthly preventatives, etc. Lady is about 4 years old and weighs 68 pounds. She is not a fence jumper, although she is not left outside unsupervised. This gal is just happy to be in a home where someone is treating well and she does not have to worry about where her next meal is coming from. She came into a Texas shelter with another Pyr mix (possibly her brother) - both were owner surrendered because owners were letting them run loose and they did not want to pay the fine. The brother went to a local Austin rescue and Lady is now with NorthStar.
