Story
Is that Cloud 9 you’re floating on, or did you just meet Odin? This big Great Pyrenees boy is 82 pounds of fluff, love, and pure joy. Odin is 3-years-old and was rescued from Windsor, South Carolina. His long white coat highlights the touches of grey and tan on his ears and face. Odin is very fluffy and does love his visits to the groomer, and he’d love to live in a cooler climate where he can relax and enjoy life indoors and out. Don’t let those gorgeous, introspective eyes deceive—this boy can be a bit of a chatterbox and quite enjoys talking about his day. We think he’s an old soul who has a lot of life stories to tell. Odin would be great in a home with kids, and he does well with other big dogs. He is a large breed and would appreciate another big friend to hang out with. He gets short bouts of zoomies, but really, who actually wants to run when you can just nap? Odin is the cuddle bug of your dreams. When you aren’t busy binging the newest summer reality shows with him, Odin would be happy to accompany you on walks through the neighborhood or around town. He’s so handsome and fluffy that people are naturally drawn to him, so expect to draw some attention when you hang out with this stud. During his many naps, Odin dreams of a family who will give him the love and attention he deserves. Won’t you bring this gentle giant home and give him the world? Odin is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. Odin's adoption fee is $550. **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. Everybody say hello to ALVIN! 🤍 Alvin is ready to bring some fun and excitement into your life! This 9-month-old Great Pyrenees, weighing between 58 pounds, simply cannot wait to meet you. Rescued as a stray from Windsor, South Carolina, Alvin has thrived under the care and love he received at Home for Good. Alvin's personality is as big as his heart. He is fun-loving and always eager to lead the way into new adventures. Whether he's exploring, sniffing around, or meeting new people, Alvin's outgoing nature shines through. He loves to give hugs and isn't shy about placing his giant paws on you to get your attention. Despite his size, the irony of this large boy being named after a chipmunk isn't lost on us. Alvin would thrive in a home with a fenced-in yard where he can run and play. He also enjoys walks around town, hiking trips, and relaxing in a cool, comfortable home. Alvin is great with dogs, cats, and kids who have experience with big dogs, making him the perfect addition to any family. This entertaining and lovable guy would look even more charming in a red sweater with a big "A" on it during the winter months. Alvin is ready to bring a smile to your face every day and has already told the witch doctor that he's in love with you! Apply to adopt at www.homeforgooddogs.org! ❤️ Alvin is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. Story
Watch out, cause here we come! We’re the Chipmunks! Meet the three guys guaranteed to make your day—Alvin, Simon, and Theodore! These Great Pyrenees brothers were rescued together and given a lot of TLC here at Home for Good. They have absolutely flourished and are bringing their stunning cuteness and entertaining personalities to the stage. These three fellas were strays rescued from Windsor, South Carolina. They are 9 months old and each weigh between 55 and 60 pounds with a bit of growing to do. All three are the sweetest guys in the world, and they are so excited to tell you more about themselves. Simon says “give me treats.” Simon says “scratch my ears.” Now touch your nose. Ope, Simon didn’t say! Little smarty pants—that’s Simon! This fella is so smart and loving. He is a very submissive and gentle guy who loves to boop your leg with his nose to get your attention. His silly nature is similar to his siblings’. He may even try to convince you that he needs glasses, but he doesn’t—he just thinks they make him look smarter. Simon is a go with the flow kind of guy who is just happy to play or relax. Simon is a lovebug through and through, and he is so ready to love you! Simon does great with other dogs, cats, and kids with big dog experience, and he would make a wonderful family member to any sized family looking to add a soft, fluffy cloud to the mix. Just look at that smile and imagine how adorable it would look in your family Christmas card photos. He could wear a blue sweater, perhaps? He loves the holidays and may want a hula-hoop or two! If you’re looking for the best guy to be a part of your life, look no further than this fluffy boy. Simon says “adopt me!” Simon is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. “Meet Jaxon! This 3 year old Great Pyrenees, is large, in charge, and ready to rule your roost/couch! Jaxon can organize a toy mess in under 30 seconds and he can return a ball to you even faster. His favorite activities are making sure his people and home are safe, picking up litter on walks so you can discard it (cares about his environment!), and babysitting tennis balls. What he lacks in small-ness he makes up for in the puppy playfulness. He’s crate-trained, good on a leash with harness, and mostly house-trained (so close!). His foster home includes both cats and dogs and he prefers his kitty friends. Interested adopters should expect a couple rounds of dog-testing with any existing dogs (low energy females preferred) and some warm-up time with men.” Age: 3 years old approx Weight: approx 65 lbs Temperament: Gets along with adults, kids, dogs Training: house trained. Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative For questions about Jaxon, please email. chelseacna@gmail.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself

Story
Meet cuddly Mario. He is a brown, dusted with black, and white Great Pyrenees mix born 12/25/2022. He is going to be big! He is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and has been given a ProHeart 6 for heartworm protection. His adoption donation is $450.00 and the transport fee $165.00. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
