Story
We gave this gem of a girl the name of Pearl - pearl because she is precious, even though her former owner didn't think so.  Pearl and her brother (already adopted) were left behind by their owner when they moved.  They were just discarded and left to fend for themselves after being used to having a family.  It's still hard for us to understand why people would do this.   Luckily we were able to find Pearl and a wonderful temporary foster. Pearl is a pyrenees mix who the vet estimates to be about 5 years old and weighs 53 pounds.  Pearl has received her vaccinations, been spayed, and has tested negative for heartworm.  The vet trimmed her toenails while she was under sedation (for the spay).  Poor girl - they had grown so long that they deeply embedded themselves into her paw pads.  But she's all healed now.   Now that she is receiving proper care and attention we just need to find her a forever home.  Pearl is a very calm, sweet girl who loves to be around people.  Her fosters recently had a super bowl party and Pearl was a social butterfly greeting everyone, and enjoying hanging out with them to watch the game. She is described as being a calm, super sweet, wonderful, and friendly girl.  She's very loving and enjoys hugs and giving out kisses.  She would be perfect for a family looking for a calm dog. She patiently waits for her food and walks. She loves to go on walks; but being a running partner is not for her.  She doesn't know how to play with toys yet, but she loves puzzles that involve treats.  She's treat and food motivated, which is a big help when it comes to training.  She knows sit, come, and responds to her name. Is your household looking for a precious gem like Pearl?  If yes, please apply to give her a happy, loving home. Personality: calm, sweet, friendly, social, affectionate Good with: people of all ages (including kids), and dogs (submissive to other dogs).  Has not been cat tested yet but we believe she will do fine. Estimated date of birth: July 2020 Weight: 53 pounds Training: house trained, good in the car, knows 'sit', 'come' Medical: vetted, up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped Location: Currently with a foster in NJ, and once you are approved to adopt, is available for a meet and greet.  For more videos of Pearl, check out her YouTube playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmB5-2QLmiJOxvWvcslGBNhxEYhniBG9o If you have any questions please email: friendsforlifeanimalrescue@gmail.com To apply to adopt: https://form.jotform.com/210286667669167 We always need fosters, please join us!  https://form.jotform.com/210257395409155 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
Meet Maggie — a vision in white and a heart full of quiet devotion. At just 10 months old and 74 pounds, Maggie is a beautiful Pyrenees/Lab mix who truly carries the best qualities of both breeds. She has the calm, thoughtful nature of a Great Pyrenees paired with the manageable size and steady presence of a Labrador. We don’t expect her to grow much more — likely topping out around 80 pounds.   Maggie was found as a stray and has only been with us since February 1st, but in that short time she has shown us exactly who she is — gentle, willing, and eager to please. Though she may be in need of more formal training, she is more than ready to catch up and be a prize companion in a family's life. Maggie thrives on praise and attention and will happily work for treats and those all-important “good girl” brownie points. She wants to connect. She wants to learn. She wants to belong and in her foster home she has never had a single accident. She has consistently waited to go outside and appears to be fully housebroken. She walks beautifully on a leash — calm, steady, and businesslike when it’s time to potty. In fact, her foster mom hasn’t heard her bark even once. She carries herself with a peaceful, composed energy.   With other dogs, Maggie is submissive and friendly — an easy companion who doesn’t look for conflict. Cats, however, are still a question mark. She has shown interest in chasing and would likely need a cat-free home, or at minimum, a very patient introduction period. Maggie is spayed, heartworm negative, and ready to find the family who will finish polishing this already shining gem. She is the kind of dog who bonds deeply and becomes your quiet shadow — loyal, steady, and full of love. If you’re looking for a calm, devoted companion wrapped in a stunning white coat, Maggie may be your girl. Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to learn more.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 11, 2026, 11:18 am

Story
Meet Autumn! She is one of six young Great Pyrenees mix puppies who found themselves homeless—until Miss Kayla came to their rescue. She loaded up her truck and whisked the pups away to safety. Unsure of what awaited them, the puppies were overjoyed to discover they were headed to a beautiful farm, where they will stay with Miss Kayla until their forever families find them. The puppies have plenty of space to run and play, enjoying daily exercise as they race to the pond. On warm days, you’ll often find several of them taking a joyful dip—white dogs and muddy water make for lots of fun! Autumn and her siblings are exceptionally smart. They’ve already mastered sit, stay, roll over, and give paw, and they’re always eager to learn new tricks. All of the puppies are kennel trained and making excellent progress with potty training. Each one knows exactly which kennel is theirs for mealtime and bedtime—impressive for such young pups!   You won’t find a more loving litter of puppies. They nap and play together all day, forming strong bonds with each other. While they don’t need to be adopted as a group, these social butterflies will thrive best in homes with another dog for companionship. If you’re looking to welcome a BIG boy or girl into your family, one of these pups could be the perfect fit. They will be spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and microchipped before adoption. Puppies are required to receive three vaccines at three-week intervals, and they’ll be ready to travel to their forever homes on April 3.   To be considered as a forever family and to request an application, please email Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com or text 615-943-7311. An approved application and adoption fee are required. (These wonderful pups are located in Tennessee and can be transported north on April 3.)February 17, 2026, 1:53 pm

Story
Beautiful Betsy is an 18-month-old purebred Great Pyrenees who truly lives up to her name. At 85 pounds, she’s a stunning girl with a heart to match—gentle, affectionate, and full of quiet sweetness. Betsy recently lost the only family she has ever known due to circumstances beyond her control. A divorce forced her devoted human mom and four children to move into a small home without a yard, and with great love and heartbreak, her mom chose what was best for Betsy’s future rather than holding onto her.   Betsy is very familiar with family life and has been raised around children, other dogs, and even cats. She once had four puppies of her own and showed nothing but tenderness and devotion as a mother, which speaks volumes about her nurturing nature. While she has not been used as a livestock guardian—and we do not want that life for her—she is perfectly suited for a home where she can enjoy both indoor comfort and outdoor space. Betsy dreams of a soft place to nap, a couch to share, and evenings spent lounging nearby as you snack and unwind, happily serving as a fluffy pillow or loyal movie companion.   She walks nicely on a leash, has good house manners, and can be crated for reasonable periods, though she should not be left confined for long workdays. Betsy travels well in the car and would make a wonderful road-trip partner. Like the classic Great Pyrenees, she has a calm, happy demeanor and a peaceful presence that fills a home with warmth.   We are hoping to find Betsy a stable, loving forever home with a securely fenced yard, ideally half an acre or more, where she can stretch her legs and enjoy the outdoors safely. If you feel called to help this special girl begin her next chapter—one filled with love, comfort, and belonging—please reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 24, 2026, 12:24 pm
