Story
Luna is a Shepherd/Husky Mix, DOB 11/26/22, spayed, up to date with shots, micro chipped, crate trained, potty trained and leash trained. Luna was given to us by a friend at 8 weeks old last January 2023. We are in a town home with a small patio and have a 6-year-old shih tzu mix. Unfortunately, until now, the two dogs have not gotten along, and Luna does not have the space she needs. She gets two walks a day and the rest of her time is mostly spent in her crate. She truly needs a home with a yard to be able to roam and just be a dog and a family that will give her the attention she deserves. She is good with my 3-year-old niece with supervision, does not do well with small dogs, needs to be socialized. Luna had a traumatic event in May 2023, got off the leash and ran to the street and her paw was crushed by a car. She had surgery and was in a bandage and restricted for 2 months. If there’s anyone out there or you may know of anyone willing to meet her, please reach out. Thank you.

Story
Her name is Fiona, shes 1 in a half years old. She’s a very loving and playful dog. She was given from a friend. I would like her to go to a loving family who would have time for her needs and a place to run free as where I reside, our yard is very limited.

Akira IS AVAILALBE (updated 07-26-2024).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Akira, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=21954&name=AkiraAkira is a 7-year-old female Husky/Malamute mix who weighs around 65 pounds. She is a sweet and loving companion who likes to snuggle and play, is friendly to everyone (except cats), and plays great with other dogs when at daycare/boarding. She is great with kids, very patient and gentle with the two toddler boys in the home, and loves to act as a vacuum for them at meal time.Akira is housebroken, and currently sleeps freely on doggy beds inside the home, but is crate trained. She loves to take walks and play, but does know how to turn off that Husky energy. Akira knows basic commands and takes to learning new thing quickly, especially when treats are involved. No howling, though she will let you know when she wants something, which are usually pets and snuggles. She is an absolute sweetheart and would benefit from an active family with lots of love and attention to give. The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.July 26, 2024, 5:38 am

For more information and the adoption application for Sammy, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22667&name=SammySammy was found wandering alone, wearing a black harness attached to a white leash. People had previously seen him being walked by an elderly man near Del High Park, but no one could find that gentleman and Sammy was taken to the shelter. He was checked in, given an impound number of #A1818905, and sat there waiting for his family to find him. His time was running out, no one came for him, and the shelter had now given him a euthanasia date. We rescued Sammy and put up signs in the area in which he was found, hoping his owner would see them, but no one has responded. This super fluffy guy with the biscuit paws is thought to be around 4-5 years old and isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t a high maintenance diva. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s been through so much already and we would love to be able to let him adjust inside a wonderful foster (or adoptive) home. Right now, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153d do best as the only dog.The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s on the small side for a husky but make no mistake, sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s your typical young, super-energetic, rough and tumble husky. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s in a foster home with multiple dogs and is doing great. She is learning her manners but in usual Husky fashion she forgets them more often than not. She would do best with an active family and another high energy dog to play with.
