Delilah IS AVAILALBE (updated 12-04-2023).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Delilah, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22699&name=DelilahMeet Delilah, a one-year old Husky who was rescued out of a shelter when her time was running out. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s on the small side for a husky but make no mistake, sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s your typical young, super-energetic, rough and tumble husky. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s in a foster home with multiple dogs and is doing great. She is learning her manners but in usual Husky fashion she forgets them more often than not. She would do best with an active family and another high energy dog to play with. Please do your research and understand the needs a of a Husky before falling for a pretty face. The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.December 4, 2023, 6:05 am

For more information and the adoption application for Brody, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22028&name=BrodyBrody has smoldering good looks. He&#39s beyond handsome, very charming, totally social, loves everyone, and will win you over in minutes. Here&#39s the real question. Can you handle being the second best looking one in the family? Sure, he can&#39t have access outside when no one is home because he can and will jump a 7&#39 fence, but that&#39s not the real issue here. Are you secure enough to handle his good looks? Are you ready to be completely ignored when out in public? Everyone&#39s eyes will drop to your dog and all you&#39ll hear is &#39omg, he&#39s amazing! He&#39s so soft! He&#39s so sweet! He&#39s so handsome!&#39 You might as well not even be there. Brody will eat it up and you&#39ll eventually have to say, &#39OK, so it&#39s getting really late and we&#39ve been here for 95 minutes and should probably get going.&#39 Are you ready for that? This handsome boy is probably around 5-6 years old, and he&#39s great with people and gets along with female dogs who like to play rough. He&#39s got all of the energy that comes along with puppihood, but is smart and food motivated, making him fun to train. He&#39s a Husky in every way, good on a leash, obedience trained, super loving and sweet, and going to make someone very happy to have him in the family! He would do best in a family with Husky experience. The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. For more information and the adoption application for Akira, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=21954&name=AkiraAkira is a 7-year-old female Husky/Malamute mix who weighs around 65 pounds. She is a sweet and loving companion who likes to snuggle and play, is friendly to everyone (except cats), and plays great with other dogs when at daycare/boarding. She is great with kids, very patient and gentle with the two toddler boys in the home, and loves to act as a vacuum for them at meal time.Akira is housebroken, and currently sleeps freely on doggy beds inside the home, but is crate trained. She loves to take walks and play, but does know how to turn off that Husky energy. Akira knows basic commands and takes to learning new thing quickly, especially when treats are involved. No howling, though she will let you know when she wants something, which are usually pets and snuggles. She is an absolute sweetheart and would benefit from an active family with lots of love and attention to give. The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. Story
Spirit was relinquished from a home that could no longer care and provide her with the attention she needed. Spirit is very sweet, active, and has a playful personality. She would make a great running or hiking buddy once she has completed her puppy vaccines. Overall, she will make a wonderful addition to any household and would love a home with a yard. If you are interested in meeting Spirit please text us at 213-840-0153 for our pre-adoption questionnaire. Thank you

Story
I rescued Max from the local shelter right around when Covid started. He was 7 months old at the time and he's been with me ever since. He is an absolute sweetheart who only wants love and attention. He has never been aggressive or attacked another animal or human. He is clearly unaware of his weight and will tend to put all his weight on someone he meets out of excitement but he only wants to be pet. I am looking to rehome him because of my work schedule, I simply cannot give him the life he deserves. He needs a lot of exercise, attention, and training. He is potty trained, but he still needs to learn how to have some discipline, especially when it comes to walks. He always wants to run over to say hi to another dog or chase an animal, so he is a big leash puller. He is incredibly smart and wants to learn, but I simply don't have the time to do so. I recommend an experienced owner who has the time to train him and spend time with him on a daily basis.

Story
Meet Seungjin👋 (a.k.a. GyeoWool meaning Winter in Korean) a handsome, lovable boy. He was found on the street in South Korea along with his three sisters including Hyorim at just 2 months old and taken to a high-kill city shelter. Fortunately, the siblings were rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team, and Seungjin was sent to his foster home soon after. His foster family has been taking good care of him, and he has learned how to love and be loved by people. Seungjin is now more than ready to find his forever home! > Personality: Sweet, Gentle, Playful SeungJin is super gentle and kind but playful at the same time. His energy level is mid-high, so he is awaiting a family who can provide him with everyday walks and regular exercise like going to the dog park on weekends! He is not afraid of water, so he can be a good match if you are looking for a furry companion to have a variety of outdoor activities with! > Relationships - with dogs: Good around dogs especially of the same and smaller sizes. He is never shy when playing with them! - with adults/kids: Good with adults including men/ No aggression towards kids. > Walking manners: Good. He gets excited only when he sees other dogs to say hi. If you say no and turn around, he’ll follow you without being stubborn. When he is allowed to say hi to other dogs, he is very gentle and friendly without aggression. > Shedding (on a scale of 1 to 10): 7 > Food allergies/Picky eater: No. > Potty (indoor/outdoor): Fully housebroken, going potty both indoors (pee-pads) and outdoors but prefers to do it outdoors. > Bathing/Brushing: Very good > Separation anxiety: None. He used to chew things in the house while being alone for 9+ hours when he was a puppy, but now he spends most of the time sleeping while alone at home. > Barking: A little bit of barking only when strangers come inside the house. > Car rides: Good with car rides unless your driving is reckless! He would feel more comfortable if he eliminated before riding a car. > Likes/Dislikes: He is not much food-driven but does like chicken and canned food. / He doesn’t like greens like lettuce. He is skeptical about food that he has never tried before. > Current Location: In a foster home in South Korea. > Health Issues: No. If you have an open heart and a loving home for Seungjin, please don't hesitate to submit an application now!

For more information and the adoption application for Sammy, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22667&name=SammySammy was found wandering alone, wearing a black harness attached to a white leash. People had previously seen him being walked by an elderly man near Del High Park, but no one could find that gentleman and Sammy was taken to the shelter. He was checked in, given an impound number of #A1818905, and sat there waiting for his family to find him. His time was running out, no one came for him, and the shelter had now given him a euthanasia date. We rescued Sammy and put up signs in the area in which he was found, hoping his owner would see them, but no one has responded. This super fluffy guy with the biscuit paws is thought to be around 4-5 years old and isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t a high maintenance diva.
