Story
Hi, We are looking for a dedicated person or family who would like to take the responsibility of adopting this amazing dog named D.O.G. He came to us one day while I was working in my yard. D.O.G had run away from home. After about a week of visiting and stopping for water, he finally let me pet him. I quickly realized that this was not an ordinary dog. He's highly intelligent, active, and very social. He requires companionship, security, and routine-based meals and walks. He does ok with most dogs, but he can be an eager greeter, which can limit his socializing. D.O.G walks very well on a leash, LOVES car rides, does well with women and kids, but takes a while to warm to men. D.O.G will need to continue his obedience training. He is very smart, wants to please, and most of all be part of a pack. Overall he's a big hunk of love that enjoys a good cuddle.

Story
We were able to rescue these 2 siblings for our local shelter and only intended to take one however when we found out about how they would be separated from one another, so we adopt both of them. They are about 3 and 4 years old. A place where they can have more freedom to run around at and get the attention they need. Energetic, loving, sweetest and sneaky (what I mean is Snowball the black husky would somehow get out the backyard b climb on the fence, yes it was horrible but she would always come back home)

Story
Hello, this is Jack a 3-4 month old husky/shepherd mix seeking a loving and caring forever home. Jack was given to me by a homeless person and was in pretty bad shape; scrawny and very scared. I decided to foster him until I found him a good home, despite knowing that my landlord doesn’t allow pets in my apartment. I thought it would be easy to find Jack a home, but it’s been over a month and still no luck. I’m worried my landlord will find out and evict me, but I’m still working hard to find Jack great owners. Jack is potty trained and uses the pads. He is gentle, active, alert, obedient, and outgoing. He also does well with other dogs and children. He does get scared with adults which I’m assuming comes from previous trauma (I’m thinking he was physically abused), so I’m seeking an owner that will patient and gentle with him. Jack is small/medium in size and I’m not sure if he’ll grow but the vet said he can grow up to 30lbs. Small adoption fee.

Akira IS AVAILALBE (updated 04-24-2024).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Akira, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=21954&name=AkiraAkira is a 7-year-old female Husky/Malamute mix who weighs around 65 pounds. She is a sweet and loving companion who likes to snuggle and play, is friendly to everyone (except cats), and plays great with other dogs when at daycare/boarding. She is great with kids, very patient and gentle with the two toddler boys in the home, and loves to act as a vacuum for them at meal time.Akira is housebroken, and currently sleeps freely on doggy beds inside the home, but is crate trained. She loves to take walks and play, but does know how to turn off that Husky energy. Akira knows basic commands and takes to learning new thing quickly, especially when treats are involved. No howling, though she will let you know when she wants something, which are usually pets and snuggles. She is an absolute sweetheart and would benefit from an active family with lots of love and attention to give. The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.April 24, 2024, 5:52 am

Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s on the small side for a husky but make no mistake, sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s your typical young, super-energetic, rough and tumble husky. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s in a foster home with multiple dogs and is doing great. She is learning her manners but in usual Husky fashion she forgets them more often than not. She would do best with an active family and another high energy dog to play with.
