Birthdate:  5/28/2021Breed: One of a kindWeight:   65 lbsWillow is an active and playful girl with a stunning coat that turns heads wherever she goes. Her beautiful smile can light up a room and her energy is infectious. She would make an excellent adventure buddy, always ready to go on a hike or run around at the park. Willow is also incredibly dog friendly, making friends with everyone she meets. If you're looking for a furry companion to share your adventures with, Willow is the perfect match.Walk-ins are welcome! Stop by during our open hours to meet our available dogs!!Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at pawscrossedny.org/dog-adoption-questionnaire. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.June 3, 2023, 6:59 am

Story
Bellamy is ready to join her forever family! This adorable 1 year old Husky mix girl is quirky, fun and full of spunk!! She's around 50lb, and very athletic. Bellamy soaks up all the attention she can get from the people she loves, and we know she will make a great addition to a home looking for their new best friend! Her ideal life would be with an active and dog-savvy family who is willing to continue her training and give her plenty of exercise. Bellamy would thrive in a home with adults only, and as your one and only dog (no cats please). She's great in the car, and LOVES to go on hikes! Bellamy would also benefit from being in a foster home while she waits for someone to pick her, so if you're interested in helping us get Bellamy out of the shelter temporarily, please apply to foster! THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN ADOPTING ONE OF OUR AMAZING RESCUE DOGS - WE CAN’T WAIT TO HELP YOU FIND YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND! The first step in getting started with our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application on our website at www.adopt-a-dog.org. We welcome you to come visit our shelter! Meet & greets will be set up by appointment once your application has been received & processed. If a dog is still listed on Petfinder, we are still accepting applications for them!   *Name: Bellamy *Rescued from: Tennessee *Adoption fee: Puppies up to 1 year: $550 Young Adult (1-4 years): $475 Adult (4-7 years): $400 Senior (8+ years): $300 *Health: Up to date on age-appropriate core vaccines so far (adopter will be responsible for remaining vaccinations if applicable), spayed/neutered , microchipped, dewormed *If the dog you are adopting is not yet spayed/neutered at the time of adoption, we require a $150 deposit in addition to the adoption fee (to be refunded upon proof of surgery within 6 months of adoption)   ** Please note that we are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the dog’s physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is often limited. We encourage you to consider individual personality rather than relying on a label – meeting a dog in person is the best way to make sure it’s love!   FAQs: WHAT IS THE ADOPTION PROCESS?: The first step in adopting an AAD dog is to fill out an application via our website www.adoptadog.org. Once we receive your application, one of our application processors will contact you, and answer any questions you may have. We will also ask for additional information if needed (landlord or veterinarian contact information, or other based on your application). Once an application has been approved, we will schedule a mutually convenient time for a meet & greet! We do not operate on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the dog.   HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO ADOPT?:  You must be age 25 or older to apply to adopt. If you live in a home with other people (ie parents, relatives) the person who will be financially responsible for the care of the dog should be the one to fill out the application.   HOW CAN I MEET THE ADOPTABLE DOGS?: Meet and greets will be scheduled once your adoption application has been fully processed by one of our adoption processors. Please be sure to fill out the application as thoroughly as possible, as we want to make sure we find you the perfect match!   *If you have any additional questions that have not been answered, please e-mail info@adoptadog.org! ##1491326##

Story
Meet Ellie (Kid Friendly and Housebroken!) Meet Ellie, the charming and affectionate 7-year-old Husky who is sure to capture your heart. Weighing 45 pounds, Ellie is a gentle giant who is a pro at following commands. She's crate-trained and well-versed in sit, come, down, and shake/paw. Ellie loves going on walks, playing off-leash, and running around the yard like the majestic wolf she is. With her special talent for winning over the hearts of children, Ellie is sure to become a beloved member of your family. But that's not all, Ellie currently lives in her home with her best friend Alfie, a Chihuahua. While they are not a bonded pair and can be separated, Ellie would love to have occasional playdates with her Chihuahua friend, or even better, to be adopted together as they enjoy each other's company so much. However, if being together isn't possible, Ellie is still ready to find a new home where she'll be showered with love and attention. Don't miss your chance to make Ellie a part of your family and give her the happy life she deserves! Ellie is fully potty trained and spayed, and she's also up to date on all her vaccines. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, Ellie is the perfect match. To give her the home she deserves, visit www.peace4paws.org on your computer (please note that applications can't be submitted from smartphones). If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG! Story
Hi! My name is Hola. I am a really sweet girl, and I am just looking for my furever home! My foster mom thinks I am a German shepherd/husky mix. I am housebroken and crate trained. My pups and I were dumped off in a shelter in South Carolina, and all my pups are ready for homes and I am too! I am about 2 years old (born around 2020), weigh about 52 pounds, and I love dogs, cats and kids. I am doing so well with all of them in my foster home in South Carolina! I am spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for my age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. I am all ready to be adopted :) My adoption fee is $250, and covers all of my vetting, and includes transport within the next two weeks, if my new family lives in the northeast USA. ***PLEASE DO NOT FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO ADOPT WITHIN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS**** Please visit https://www.apply.daybeforetherainbow.com/ to fill out an adoption application form or email my rescue at taryn@daybeforetherainbow.com! Thanks for checking me out!

Story
Royce was living most of his day alone in a small crate in an apartment. A START II volunteer rescued him when she found out the terrible situation he was in. But Royce is at the shelter 7 months which is so unfair. Royce is a typical smart husky puppy (around 1 year) with lots of energy. He needs a fenced yard at home to run around. Now that he found his freedom that is what he loves to do. Kids in the home should be at least 10 since he will grow to be pretty large. Husky are a unique breed so we are looking for a family with previous husky experience. Royce is up to date on shots, neutered and heart worm negative. For more information or to get an application email start2nj@yahoo.com
