About Gianna: Gender: Female Age: 2 Yrs Weight: 41 lbs Breed: Husky/German Shepherd (GSD) Spayed: Yes Vaccinated: Yes Microchipped: Yes Adoption Fee:  $250.00 (plus tax)   Dogs: Gianna loves to play with other dogs and we would love to place her in a home with another dog who is close to her size.    Cats: Gianna sees cats as squeaky toys, so she’s a no on cats.  does not do well with cats.   Kids: Gianna She has done great with older children (12+).  The quick movements of younger kids are a little overwhelming for her.    Crate Trained: Yes, she’s great about going in her crate when needs to be in it.    Housebroken: Yes, and she will go to the door to let you know she would like to go out.   Leash Manners: Gianna is easy to walk and she would LOVE to have a hiking partner.     Training: Gianna knows sit, down, come and crate reliably. She’s treat motivated and eager to learn.     Home Recommendation: Gianna would do best in an active home. Gianna has a typical German Shepherd temperament with regards to new people…a little cautious.   At home however she is sweet, spunky and full of energy.  She loves her people with her whole heart and is completely devoted to them.    She loves to play fetch, will be your constant companion and will love you like no other dog has!   Gianna is absolutely amazing and will make a wonderful addition to her forever home.    If you’re interested in meeting this amazing pup, please fill out an application at www.pawprintsnky.com. Raina is a female husky mix and estimated around 2 and a half years old. She is very sweet and a total love bug; she loves belly rubs! Raina enjoys going for walks (working on leash training), playing, and also taking it easy. She can by shy at first so it may take her a little more time to get comfortable with new humans, dogs, and environments. A fence would be ideal for Raina as she does have a bit of an adventurous side as husky's do. She loves to play with other dogs once she has had time to adjust- she does best with dogs her own size & no cats or small dogs. Raina’s favorite toys are squeaky toys- if she hears it, she wants it! In her foster home, Raina is crate trained and house trained; she will go to the door when she needs to potty. Bath time can be difficult at home but the groomer said she does amazing there! Raina loves to talk- she can definitely hold a good conversation with you!

Sasha is ready for her forever home! This girl is done being a mom and wants to find a family who she can trust to give her love and treats. Sasha is 2 years old and about 44lbs. She is working on putting on some weight after raising puppies. She is a sweetheart who loves being around her people, big and small. Sasha is crate trained, mostly housebroken (learning a bell to let us know she has to go) and she is great on and off a leash. She responds very well to her name, to commands like come, sit, shake, kennel, no and is eager to learn more. Sasha is a pleaser! She also loves to husky talk. Sasha does have a sensitive stomach but does great with a non chicken based food and probiotics. She is kid friendly, and submissive dog friendly. Sasha came from a hoarding situation in which she lived in a small area and had to compete for food. Therfore, her adopter would need to continue working with her around food reactiveness towards other dogs. She is fine with people. Sasha will be up to date on shots, spayed, and microchipped. Sasha's adoption fee is $250.00

These pups just arrived so I don't know much about their potty or crate training progress but they are 4 month old pups who have spent almost 3 months of their life in the shelter. Blue (friends call her Trixie) is back with SAAP after her owner of almost 4 years passed away suddenly. She is trying her best to figure out how to move forward as she hunts for her new forever home. It is clear she was VERY loved and is now a bit confused and scared.   She is 4.5 years old and is full grown at just a smidge under 35 pounds - a great medium size! She is a husky mix (our guess is husky/chihuahua). Her eyes are a gorgeous blue and her fur is super soft and mostly white, with a couple tan spots on her ear and tail.    Trixie lived alone with her male adopter and a cat sibling, so dogs and smaller kids are a bit scary to her right now since she isn't used to living with them. She would do best as the only dog in a home with children who are 12+ and will listen to her signals. Adult males are her favorite, but she is down for snuggles and face kisses with any adult she has known for more than 2 seconds! She is seriously one of the sweetest dogs I have met and my 6th grader said she is in his top 3 out of all of our fosters.   June 6, 2023, 9:55 pm
