For Malawi, these triggers might include contact with food, feelings of losing her freedom or control, and sometimes even toys. Because there are multiple factors that can affect her behavior, her future adopter will need to approach her with patience and understanding. Building trust with Malawi is key; once she feels secure with you, she will communicate more openly, which can help minimize any reactions. I truly believe that having in-home training would make a significant difference for Malawi, helping her settle into her new environment.
