Hellooo ooo ooo oooo! My name is Nico. I`m a super adorable, full of energy boy. I`m a little over 10 months so still just a pup really. I am unsure at the moment how I would be with other pups or children. So if you have either please bring them in to the shelter so we can do a meet and greet to insure we`re a good match. I am still a pup and have been in the shelter so I will need some basic training. But if you`re up for it I`m sure we can become the best of friends. If you`re interested Just come on in and ask to meet me. I`ll be waiting.

Story
Hellooooo ooo oo ooo! I`m Mika! I`m a super fun and playful pup full of energy. I love going to playgroups with the other pups. Though some more chill pups may think I`m a little too rambunctious. But I am just such a happy guy. If you have other dogs or children please bring them in to meet me to see if our energies match. I`d love someone to go on hikes with and explore nature a bit. And to be able to come back to comfy home to relax and maybe throw some snuggles in there with my people. I`ve been in the shelter for a while so I will most likely need some basic house training but I`m super smart so don`t worry I`m sure in no time with some patience and dedication I`ll be your own personal Einstein. If you think I`m the pup for you please don`t wait. Just come on in and ask to meet me. I can`t wait to find my forever home!

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌙 Meet Amira — The Adventurous Husky Princess Ready for Her Happily Ever After 🌙 (Female • Husky • ~2 Years • ~45 lbs) After raising her beautiful litter with patience, love, and the kind of calm wisdom only a good momma possesses, Amira is officially ready for her chapter — the one where she gets to be the star, the sidekick, the adventure buddy, and the center of someone’s world. At around 2 years old and approximately 45 pounds, Amira is the perfect blend of sweet, friendly, and athletic. She’s got that classic Husky sparkle in her eyes — the one that says, “I love you… but also, I might try to outsmart your fence.” Yes, she’s an escape artist. A graceful, strategic, probably-should-have-her-own-action-movie escape artist. Because of her athleticism and creativity, she’ll thrive in a home that chooses leash walks or adventure outings over backyard alone time. Hiking? Jogging? Exploring? She’s all in. Checking the mail? She’ll come too. Now that her mom duties are done, she wants to be included in all the family goings-on. Amira is wonderful with kids and other dogs, and she carries a calm, reassuring energy — the kind that makes you feel like everything’s a little better when she’s nearby. Cats are still an unknown, but with her affectionate nature, slow and proper introductions could set her up for success. She’s playful, sweet, and deeply loyal. After pouring her heart into caring for her pups, she’s ready to receive that same love back — long walks, warm snuggles, silly moments, and a home that treats her like the amira (princess) she truly is. 🌟 Amira’s Stats: - Female Husky - Around 2 years old - ~45 lbs - Friendly, playful, athletic - Great with kids & other dogs - Cats: unknown - Escape artist — best with leash walks & secure handling - Active, outdoorsy homes are her dream match If you're searching for a stunning, spirited, affectionate dog who will adore being part of your adventures — Amira is ready to step into the spotlight and finally live the good life she deserves. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org — and let Amira be part of every sunrise, every stroll, and every happy moment ahead. 🐾💙

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾✨ Meet Huckleberry Finn — Searching for His Tom Sawyer ✨🐾 Age: 3 years Weight: 43 lbs Breed Blend: Alaskan Klee Kai–type (aka: compact husky charm with extra personality) Huckleberry Finn isn’t just a dog — he’s an adventure waiting to happen. With his bright eyes, playful spirit, and happy-go-lucky personality, Huck is always ready for whatever the day brings… especially if it involves fun, friends, or snacks. He’s currently living peacefully with other dogs and cats (yes, even the cats), proving he’s as easygoing as he is handsome. Huck loves being part of the action, whether that means zooming around the yard, hanging with his dog pals, or sticking close to his humans like a loyal sidekick. 💡 Fun Fact: Huck strongly resembles an Alaskan Klee Kai, which means he’s smart, curious, athletic, and full of personality — basically a husky in a perfectly sized, more manageable package. Best of all? He’s got the brains and the manners. 🐾 Huckleberry Finn’s Favorite Things: 🦴 His beloved dog bone (though sticks and “found treasures” are also acceptable) 🤲 Head and belly rubs — bonus points if both happen at once 🐾His signature moves: • A Snoopy-style howl • The adorable head tilt + paw lift combo • Leaning his whole body into you like, “Yep. You’re mine now.” ✅ Why Huck Is the Total Package: Sweet, affectionate, and gentle Great with kids, dogs, and even cats House-trained and knows basic commands Smart and eager to learn (already understands a lot of 'human talk') Playful, adventurous, and loving 🏡 Huck’s Ideal Home: A fenced yard, an active household, and people who want a dog that’s truly part of the family. Huck would love daily adventures, backyard playtime, and evenings spent relaxing with his favorite humans. Huckleberry Finn is searching for his Tom Sawyer — someone to explore life with, share laughs, and make memories alongside. He’s loyal, loving, and ready to be your best friend for life. ✨ Ready to start your adventure? Apply for Huckleberry Finn today at haydudeequine.org and let the adventurous journey begin! 🐾💙

Story
Meet Avi! He is the true meaning of rescue. Avi used to live with an abusive owner, until we changed his path! He has come so far, and has been clicker trained, but is still healing and will need a patient adopter who is willing to continue his training. He is about 10 years old and weighs around 55 lbs. He loves everyone he meets, but is not good with children or cats, and doesn't understand why they move so fast. He is slow to trust, but very playful and affectionate once he knows he is safe. Avi will jump a fence that is smaller than 6 ft tall, and will need long daily walks. He currently lives with and loves his boxer bulldog mix foster brother, but knows he is the pretty one! A home with another playful husky or other dog similar in size would be ideal! HUSKY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. CANNOT BE PLACED WITH CHILDREN OR CATS. If you want to be a part of Avi's recovery and future, and are willing to invest in long term training, apply for him today! His adoption fee is $25. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LOUC/Dog All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
She is a great dog and very friendly however due to her old age and my current health situation I am unable to give her proper care during these last few years of life. She has a GI mass which has caused her to be underweight and can only eat set quantities of food without issues but she still like to be pet and play.
