Story
Introducing Lola.  Lola is a Pomeranian Husky mix.  Yes you read that right, a Pomsky&#226&#128&#188&#239&#184&#143 She is 21 lbs, 6 years old and is just adorable. When she arrived on Monday she was very scared and would keep her distance. With patience she has already advanced to sitting relaxed on my lap today.  She is looking for someone to give her time to feel safe and would do well with a dog sibling to follow their lead. She is doing great with her foster siblings. She is crate trained and is working on house training.  Apply today at  adoptastray.comMay 3, 2024, 6:30 pm

Story
Top of the mornin' to ya! It's me Mullen, the most pleasant lad you'll ever meet! You don't hear about many Irish Siberian Huskies now do ya? But, here I am! With my ginger-red coat I am the talk of the town, however, I can only be adopted in my town because I am kind of an anxious kind of fellow. I love other dogs and must be adopted with another calm/confident dog please. My new owners need to be patient and great at building confidence in me, as I never was loved on as a pup so I am still nervous with new people and in new situations. However, I am very smart and learn quickly!! Some basic information about Mullen; he is male, Siberian Husky mix, and expected to be medium-sized (20-59lbs). Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Hello there, I'm Ruben - no sandwich associations needed! While I may not be a tasty deli treat, I am quite the catch. Think of me as a unique blend, like a Husky with a twist! As a husky mix, I come with a beefy build, striking markings, and a personality that's as distinctive as the flavors in your favorite reuben sandwich. At heart, I'm a cool and energetic guy who's seen a lot in my young life. Now, I'm on a quest to find the perfect family to call my own. With an abundance of love and vitality, I'm a friendly fellow who gets along with just about everyone. I'm like the ideal side dish to complement your family's recipe for happiness. So, don't wait - place your order for a lifelong companion, and let's embark on this adventure together! Story
You remember the 80's, the car named Kit?? Had David Hasselhoff as his driver and sure had a lot of fun and adventures :) I kind of LOOK like David Hasselhoff (if I do say so myself) and I am SMARTER than the car, Kit!! Again, if I do say so myself :D So, speaking of cars.... i was run over by one (or maybe it was a truck :( I don't remember, all I know is I ended up in a bad way and at the pound. Both my back legs broken and my hip was dislocated as well. That is how the rescue found me, my beautiful David Hasselhoff eyes pled through the sad photo and the rescue chick said, "uh, yes, lets save sweet boy". And that is how my life BEGAN again! I have had my hip surgery, called an FHO, and that was on my GOOD LEG!!! But as God would smile His favor on me, my other leg started HEALING WELL while I recovered from the surgery! Therefore I did not have to have my other leg amputated!! As a pup, the ability of my body to heal is amazing! So, here I am! Ready for adoption! I do have a hitch in my giddyup, but really nothing compared to how I was after the accident. I am a SURVIVOR!! His foster mom states, " Kit is an amazing pup, smart and determined! He taught himself the doggy door in one day, is good with the kitties, great with all other dogs and all people. He will be missed in his foster home, he has the determination of a tough pup and the sweet love of a spoiled pup :) Whoever adopts him will have a great companion!" AdOPT the BROKEN pups, THEY WILL LOVE YOU EVEN MORE!!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
MEET COBALT Cobalt is an absolutely beautiful, blue eyed, 2 year old male husky, who won’t sit still for pictures 🤣 He is a sweet boy who loves to play outside and chase his tennis balls. A fenced yard with room to run, and an active family would be a dream for this guy. He plays very well with other dogs and does excellent with kids. (Cats are toys so a no cat home is necessary) Coby is super smart and already knows the command sit and leave it. He is potty trained and is also crate trained and loves having blankets in his crate. He is strong on a leash at first but eases up. Cobalt is a fun loving boy who is excited to find his fur ever home. Do you have room for this loyal, sweet playful boy? Story
It is with great sadness that we are looking to rehome our dog, Pierogi. Pierogi has developed anxiety over the years, and we are looking for a quieter home environment that fits her needs. Pierogi is a 4-year-old, husky mix. She is spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations. The only medication she takes is for heartworm/flea prevention. She is house broken and crate trained. Pierogi knows basic commands: sit, stay, down, wait, and leave it. I would describe Pierogi as medium to low energy. To accommodate her needs, Pierogi will need to be the only animal in the household and will require a fenced in backyard. Pierogi is the goofiest, snuggliest, and sweetest dog who deserves an environment where she can thrive. If you or you know of anyone who may be interested in adopting a silly and loving fur baby, please let me know!

Story
When Kodiak came to his foster home he was very overweight at 105lbs - much more than his frame could comfortably support. He hated walking and foster mom had to bribe him back home with treats after he was too tired from 10 minutes of trying. Fast forward to today, he is about 20 lbs lighter and loves to run and play with foster puppies and other dogs in the yard. He loves to go for walks and easily and regularly can walk for an hour.    Kodiak came to his foster home used to using his size and growls to get his way. He has worked SO HARD and learned SO MUCH in his foster home including: humans are in charge and he doesn’t need to be the leader, sit and wait to be released for meals, how to relax and stay in place, that furniture is invitation only, completely re-crate trained to learn crate is a safe space not punishment, and that he can share his toys with humans and he will get them back!   All of this progress took lots of time and patience with foster mom to build trust. Kodiak has a breed expected stubborn streak and is incredibly smart. His new adopter will need to be patient and earn his trust and set the tone with boundaries and respect.    As part of his wellness transformation, Kodiak was started on an antidepressant (Fluoxetine) and is an incredibly happier dog on them, and we encourage that his adopter keeps him on this medication. Kodiak also has an allergy, unknown if it is food or environmental. Kodiak is currently well managed with a single protein dog food and an allergy medication (Apoquel). His adopters may consider allergy testing to more specifically identify the allergen.    Kodiak loves people and doesn’t know a human stranger. Kodiak is GREAT with other dogs. His foster mom calls him the foster dog ambassador. He is good with big, small, young, and old dogs. He reads body language very well and matches his play style to the other dog and is very patient with rude and rough play from other dogs. Kodiak does resource guard his toys, bones, and food to other dogs. Kodiak would likely do ok living with another dog who is submissive and not very interested in toys (with supervision!) or with an owner experienced with resource guarding behaviors. He would be ideal for someone who only wants one dog in the home and wants a dog who can go for walks in public places with other dogs around or have toy free playdates with other dogs. He loves to go for walks at Smale park and hang out with foster mom at breweries!   Kodiak has made incredible strides in his foster home and is looking for his best fit family who will continue to support his progress. He has had a few meet and greets but is waiting for his perfect forever family to find him!   When Kodiak came to his foster home he was very overweight at 105lbs - much more than his frame could comfortably support. &#226&#156&#168 Introducing Stu &#226&#156&#168 This boy is the SWEETEST pup. He is approximately 40lbs and everyone says he is much smaller in person than how he looks in his pictures (they do say pictures add 5 lbs)! Stu is thought to be a chow mix and has a small but stocky build. Stu has the goofiest smile and the personality to match! He is neutered and came to us from a local shelter.  He adores his humans and LOVES love (especially back stratches!). Stu is full of personality and is a laid back gentleman. During play time he is extremely gentle and has the cutest zoomies! Stu is a low to moderate energy pup. He loves spending quiet evenings cuddled up with his squeaky toy in his bed near us as well.  We are working on his leash training as he can be a bit strong but he is very eager to learn (especially when cheese is involved)! Stu is crate trained and potty trained. He ignores other dogs and cats and would love to join your family.  Stu has a kidney condition so the vet has placed him on medication and K/D food. He doesn’t let this stop him one bit though and it gives him the chance to show off his stellar sitting skills! &#226&#156&#168Get in your applications at www.adoptastray.com for this one of a kind pup. He won’t last long! &#226&#156&#168May 3, 2024, 6:30 pm

Story
*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you. If you think you are up for the challenge of a total spitfire like me, please feel free to send in an application and foster mommy can tell you more about all of the grandeur that is...CHLOE.
