Story
Meet Avi! He is the true meaning of rescue. Avi used to live with an abusive owner, until we changed his path! He has come so far, and has been clicker trained, but is still healing and will need a patient adopter who is willing to continue his training. He is about 10 years old and weighs around 55 lbs. He loves everyone he meets, but is not good with children or cats, and doesn't understand why they move so fast. He is slow to trust, but very playful and affectionate once he knows he is safe. Avi will jump a fence that is smaller than 6 ft tall, and will need long daily walks. He currently lives with and loves his boxer bulldog mix foster brother, but knows he is the pretty one! A home with another playful husky or other dog similar in size would be ideal! HUSKY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. CANNOT BE PLACED WITH CHILDREN OR CATS. If you want to be a part of Avi's recovery and future, and are willing to invest in long term training, apply for him today! His adoption fee is $25. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LOUC/Dog All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Nataliyah. Nataliyah is a beautiful 5-month-old, 45-pound female Goberian (Golden Retriever/Siberian Husky) puppy. Nataliyah came in from a puppy mill two weeks ago shy and scared. In just a couple of weeks, she has blossomed into a sweet and affectionate pup who no longer seems to be fearful. She enjoys playing with toys, exploring the yard, playing with her foster siblings, and following her foster mom everywhere. Nataliyah has a black, gray and white coat with beautiful markings on her face. She is eager to please and follows directives well, (as long as she can control her excitement). She is 45 pounds now, but will be a large dog once full grown. She is fostered with a one-year-old mama dog and her three puppies, who she loves playing with. She is medium-to-high energy now and will probably remain the same into adulthood. Despite her breed, Nataliyah has rarely barked while in foster care. She occasionally whines. She is making great strides with her potty training for only two weeks in a home. She is an excellent car rider. Nataliyah is pretty good on a leash for it being her first experience with it. She zig-zags a lot, but ultimately still moves forward. Like all puppies, Nataliyah will need to be taught boundaries. For these types of breeds, it is also crucial that they get exercise daily beyond just playing in the back yard, (such as long walks, runs, hiking or dog parks). She would do best with a fenced-in yard. Nataliyah is a very sweet and affectionate puppy with lots of love to give, (not to mention she’s gorgeous). After starting her short little life confined in a puppy mill, she is just looking for the “good life” as a cherished family pet. If you believe that you have the right home to give Nataliyah the love and commitment she deserves, please apply today. She would be a wonderful addition to your family. Nataliyah is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $300.00. Story
I have an almost 6 year old husky (will be 6 years on August 20th) that I need to unfortunately rehome ASAP. Things he likes: car rides, swimming, dog parks, doggy daycare. Things he doesn't like: absolutely no cats (he will kill them), no other dogs (he doesn't like other dogs in his home). Things I will need to change over to new owners: he has a fido alert that I will change to new owners names, microchip with 24/7 petwatch, and his dog license. Things he will come with: any food and treats I have left over, toys, leash, collar, muzzle (if wanted), a couple harnesses, folder with vet papers, and a blanket. Requirements for adoption: you need to have owned a husky before, absolutely (I can't say this enough) absolutely no other pets, a vet reference, and a visit to your home to see where he will be living.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This beauty is Sasha. Sasha was left behind at a hotel in San Antonio.  Her family had been a guest and decided to leave her behind when they left.  Lucky for her, the hotel called our vet and asked for help.  This beauty is very smart and active.  She  needs a family that is going to keep her busy.  This breed has to have a job to be happy.  Are you looking for a walking or running buddy?   Do you think you would like to enter working dog classes in your spare time?  If so, this is your girl. She needs an active  family to walk with, play with in the back yard, and run around chasing toys. Sasha is about 2 years old, 58 pounds and $250 to adopt. This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Please go to our website to complete an application at www.adoggie4you.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 16, 2026, 10:34 am
