Story
Looking for a companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart? Meet Mount Everest! This playful, goofy, and affectionate guy is ready to climb straight into your life. Everest is a total toy enthusiast and is always up for a good game, whether that means chasing balls, playing tug, or entertaining himself with a good tail chase (you’ll definitely want to see the video !). He is very treat motivated and eager to engage, which makes training both fun and rewarding. He loves his walks and enjoys being active, especially when he can spend time outdoors exploring the world around him. Everest would do best in an active home that can provide regular exercise, enrichment, and playtime to keep both his body and mind happy. Everest does well in his kennel and is mostly potty trained, though he will continue to benefit from consistent training and a patient, dedicated family as he settles in. His silly antics and joyful energy are guaranteed to bring plenty of smiles and laughter. If you’re looking for an energetic, loving companion who’s ready for adventure and lots of fun, Mount Everest might just be the perfect match. He’s a loyal, happy pup who’s excited to become a cherished part of his forever home. Mount Everest is from a local shelter.

Story
Meet Midas — a gentle soul with a heart of gold. Midas is one of those dogs you don’t forget. Quietly resilient and deeply loving, he’s the kind of companion who forms a bond that runs deep. He’s simply waiting for a forever family to show him that his best days are still ahead. When Midas first came into rescue, he was severely underweight and had clearly gone without the care he deserved. But with a thoughtful refeeding plan and plenty of love, he’s been steadily gaining strength—and confidence. Watching him fill out, both physically and emotionally, has been nothing short of incredible. Midas truly shines in the company of other dogs. He would thrive in a home with a confident, well-balanced canine companion who can continue to show him the ropes. He looks to other dogs for reassurance and learns beautifully by example. He’s also a wonderfully gentle boy—good with cats and kind with kids—making him a great fit for many types of families. He already knows basic commands and has excellent house manners. One thing to know about Midas: he does not do well in a kennel and becomes anxious when confined. The good news? He does beautifully when left out in the home, settling in calmly and showing just how trustworthy he is. Midas isn’t just looking for a place to live—he’s looking for safety, patience, and love. In return, he’ll give you unwavering loyalty, quiet companionship, and the kind of gratitude you can feel every single day. If you’re ready to give this golden-hearted boy the life he’s been waiting for, Midas is ready to meet you. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. Story
Name: Yuki Sex: Female Color: Isabella White Eye Color: Brown Birthday: 11/15/20 Weight: 49lbs Large Dog Friendly: Yes, good with new dogs she meets. Does best with male dogs. Small Dog Friendly: So far, she has been good with the few smaller dogs she has met on leash. Cat Friendly: NO - very high prey drive. Crate Trained: Very short periods of time, and only while we are home. Trusted to free roam when we’re not home, but our home is pretty much husky-proof. Has a history of harming herself when crated in her first foster home. Housebroken: Yes, she will let you know when she needs to go out. Energy Level: She has her calm times and long naps, and she also gets zoomies and loves to play rough a few times a day like most huskies. She loves walks and loves to be outside watching squirrels or bunnies in a fenced yard. Reaction to New People: Good with adults and older kids. Working on manners and socialization. Kid Friendly: Older, calmer kids are best for her. Smaller children make her nervous, especially if they get too close too fast. Training: She knows the basics; sits before getting her food dish and is pretty good at coming when called. Could use some better leash manners but has improved. She really wants to meet and play with other friendly dogs on walks. She would likely benefit from some socialization to gain confidence in new/public situations. Like most huskies, she is a runner, so caution by the doors and getting in and out of the car is needed. Grooming Needs: Normal husky coat brushing about once a week or so, more when blowing her coat. She does shed less than other huskies we’ve had, her fur is on the shorter side which helps. Does okay with baths but only needs that once or twice a year. Gets dirty while playing, but the dirt tends to fall off quickly – it’s a husky thing. Fence: Yuki would do best with at least a 4-foot-high fence, 6 feet would be better. She loves to be outside; rain or snow do not bother her much. She hasn’t tried to dig out lately but is a true husky escape artist so should be supervised even with a fence! Solo or Siblings: Yuki would do best with a male dog with lots of energy to match hers in play. Preferably male husky (or other high energy dog) around her age or younger. Once she got comfortable in her foster home, she started being less tolerant of female dogs in the home. We’ve been working on that. She could also do well as a solo dog, with lots of play and attention to get her energy out. From the Foster: Yuki is a sweet, furry little princess who loves attention and belly rubs. She has her relaxation times and has her zoomies and loves to play. She’s a bit shy and hesitant in new situations and would benefit from socialization and group training class. Like a typical husky, she loves to run, climb, jump etc, so may also benefit from joring or agility classes. She loves attention and belly rubs; she will lay on her back and paw at you or reach out to you for more if you stop. She is quite a talker, like many huskies are, and when the neighborhood dogs bark, she howls to join in. She is an all-around adventurous, loving, curious and goofy girl who may be shy and nervous at first, but who settles in fairly quickly to be her true husky self. She would love to have a more mature human or family to experience life with, and to help her learn to enjoy the world

Story
Name: Salome Sex: Female Color: Black & White Eye Color: Blue Birthday: 07/29/17 Weight: 46lbs Large Dog Friendly: She is still a little afraid, but she would much rather be around the size dogs as herself. Small Dog Friendly: Yes - she just doesn't know what to think of them yet - we are introducing her to more smaller breeds via neighbors and she does well with them so far. Cat Friendly: Unknown Crate Trained: She is trained, she does still need positive reinforcement to get into the kennel - (lead training into the crate but once she is in there she is ok) she does howl ever so often when she is in the kennel so not ideal for Apartment living situations. Housebroken: yes, she is a former breeder dog. From time to time, she has accidents, but they are easily corrected. She is much better now! Energy Level: Mellow/Chill Reaction to New People: Howler but friendly. Kid Friendly: A home without young children would be best for Salome, 12 and older would be ideal. Loud or fast movements are scary for her. Training: walk on leash, inside. Still working on sit, stay and lay. Grooming Needs: weekly brushing - she loves the vacuum brush. Fence: 5 ft or privacy recommended! Solo or Siblings: She is being fostered with a 7-month-old, they get along, but a little too much for her. Highly recommend a sibling that is 3+ years old. She would also do just fine Solo. From the Foster: Salome’s Journey 💕 Salome has truly come a long way. When she first came into care, she didn’t know what love was, what it meant to be a dog, or how to feel safe in a home. With time, patience, and gentle care, she’s started to discover the simple joys she once missed out on.She enjoys her walks and prefers to stay right by your side rather than pull ahead. She’s learned how cozy a dog bed can be and now loves curling up for naps. The kennel isn’t her favorite, but she’ll go in if she needs to. In the mornings, she greets the day with a little bark or happy chatter—just to be noticed and loved. Once she gets that bit of attention, she’s content. She’s also good at letting you know when it’s time to go outside, either by sitting by the door or giving a soft bark. Salome still has a journey ahead of her, but she’s shown so much strength and heart already. We believe she’ll make a wonderful companion for the right family—whether as a solo dog or with an older, calm sibling. She’s a bit shy around children at first and appreciates having her quiet space and rest time. She’s a gentle soul with so much love to give. Every now and then she has playful little moments that make us smile—still learning that it’s okay to be carefree. We’re so proud of how far she’s come, and can’t wait to see where her journey leads next. ❤️ Adoption Fee: $275 All dogs coming into Adopt a Husky Minnesota receive care tailored to their needs, including: Nose-to-tail exam with a partner veterinarian, Vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper, Leptospirosis, Bordetella), 4DX test to check for heartworm or tick exposure, Fecal Analysis, Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative, Spay/Neuter prior to adoption, Microchip, and are evaluated for temperament and trainability.

Story
Hi, I am Penny, a Husky born approx 11/22/25. I’m a very special little girl because I came all the way from Arkansas to Minnesota, carrying two names like a celebrity on tour! Down south, they called me Eleven, but when I arrived in Minnesota, all my vet records said Penny. So now I like to think of myself as a pup with bonus names—how fancy is that?! Between us, I definitely perk up more when you say Eleven—it’s unique, just like me! But I’m a smart little cookie, and I learn fast, so whatever loving name you choose, I’ll catch on quickly. e I may be tiny, but I am FULL of silliness, spunk, sass, and sparkle! I totally run the household—I mean, someone has to be in charge, right? I have two giant foster brothers (like… over 60 pounds giant!) who are pittie mixes, and I wrestle and romp with them like I’m the same size. Don’t worry—this little lady can hold her own!  My foster mom says I’m a Husky mix, and I definitely believe her because I have the cutest Husky howl. But I think I might also have a little terrier, maybe a dash of lab, and possibly a sprinkle of pittie in my magical mix! And guess what? I’ve got soft, fluffy brown fur and stunning light blue/gray eyes that everyone swoons over. I’m totally crate-trained! I eat in my crate—not because I guard my food, but because my resident brothers prefer I don’t “taste test” their meals. I don’t mind—I LOVE food so much that I dance my way right into my crate at mealtimes!  I also sleep in my crate like a sweet little angel through the whole night. I can even stay there for up to 8 hours if needed (usually just once a week). The rest of the week, I am free to roam around and crash wherever I please because my foster mom works from home. I’m working hard on potty training, and foster mom says I’m doing AMAZING! I know how to find my puppy pads when I’m not distracted by the zoomies, and when we go outside, I always go potty like a big girl. I think the puppy pads are for emergencies only, so I try my very best to wait for outside time! Thanks for reading all about me! I’m so excited to meet my forever family—I know they’re out there, and I can’t wait to wiggle my whole body with joy when I finally meet them!    Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $625.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 30, 2026, 11:14 pm
