Hi I’m Anne! My family says I am the sweetest girl :) My favorite thing is to curl up in a cozy spot (preferably somebody’s bed) and take a nap. I also like to play with my toys, but I have to be careful because I have a heart condition and if I play too hard or get too excited, I have mini seizures that cause me to lose my balance and tip over. In more severe situations, I could experience a more serious seizure-like episode. I’m super sweet and gentle. I do well in and out of my crate and have only had a few accidents. My family has left me alone for up to seven hours and I have done just fine. I love meeting new people, but I’m not so sure about dogs. I can be around them, but if they get too close I might let them know. But my family thinks that with some training, I might be able to make some friends and maybe even live with other dogs. I also love riding in the car! I like staring out the window, and then when I am bored of that, I like to curl up in the back seat and take a nap. I know my basic commands, but my family says I’m stubborn because I don’t always like to listen when they call my name and they want my attention. They also say I’m being dramatic when I give them my pouty eyes. I do okay on walks, but I need to use a harness since I do like to wander and explore and of course if I see a squirrel, rabbit, or another dog, I want to get a closer look! I would do best with someone who likes to lay around with me and understands my physical limitations. Due to my heart condition, it is hard to predict how much time I have left, but I hope to find someone who is willing to love me anyway! Bug is a lovable Bugger! Bug's foster family sent his DNA in for testing and it revealed that he is a doberhusky! Bug emits the sweet love of a dobe and the playful side of a husky! He absolutely loves to be around his people and play outside. Bug will require a fence as he does love to run. His foster home has cats, and he seems to do ok with them under supervision. This sweet boy is looking forward to finding his forever, forever home! He is a very mellow and easy going snuggle bud. He will require a home with no small children(13+ year old) kids make him anxious and uneasy. He will need a home that is quiet, low key and a nice simple life. He hasn't been crated in many years, but his temp foster is re-establishing some crate training for him, making it a positive and safe place to be. He does do fine if left out when you are away or putting up a gate. He does appear to have some anxiety when left alone but we are working on that. He is a counter surfer so no leaving him unattended in the kitchen or by the garbage(one with a locking lid is best). He enjoys filled bone for entertainment as opposed to stuffies. He loves being outside and has not dug any holes! He is generally quiet unless he needs to go out, or if he thinks you are late with his breakfast or dinner. Kenneling is being done in short periods as he hadn't been kenneled for many years, but he goes right in, especially if his breakfast if served there. He does need to lose 10+ lbs, so they break his treats in half, and limit to two per day. He was super at the vet, and trimming nails is a breeze. Meet Ghoat. He’s being fostered in east TN. Out of state welcome for additional fee. We transport to the Greta lakes and northeast areas east areas. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs. Ghost had a home but unfortunately his owner could not longer care for him. He’s a really sweet pup. He loves attention and will come rest his head on your lap for petting and ear scratches. He gets along with most all other dogs big and small young or old. He is very playful and has lots of energy. He seems to be a husky mix. He has the curled husky tail and the coat of a medium coated husky but he also looks like he could be mixed with another breed. He’s not very big and only around 45 lbs. he’s a year old so he should not get much bigger. He probably will top out around 50-55 lbs. he is crate trained and house trained and walks well on a leash. He is a just a little shy when meeting new people and it doesn’t take long for him to warm up. He is one smart and sweet pup!

Hi! I’m Koda and I’m looking for my forever family. I currently live with a 5-year-old and a 14-year-old, so I’m already comfortable around loud noises, busy households, and sudden movements. Between us… the 5-year-old is my favorite human. I spend time relaxing in my playpen when my foster family is sleeping or out running errands, and I do really well with it. Even though I’m a husky mix, my foster family says they’ve never heard me bark yet! They also tell me I’m a very good boy because I’m doing amazing with potty training. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. Small Dog Friendly: So far, she has been good with the few smaller dogs she has met on leash. Cat Friendly: NO - very high prey drive. Crate Trained: Very short periods of time, and only while we are home. Trusted to free roam when we’re not home, but our home is pretty much husky-proof. Has a history of harming herself when crated in her first foster home. Housebroken: Yes, she will let you know when she needs to go out. Energy Level: She has her calm times and long naps, and she also gets zoomies and loves to play rough a few times a day like most huskies. She loves walks and loves to be outside watching squirrels or bunnies in a fenced yard. Reaction to New People: Good with adults and older kids. Working on manners and socialization. Kid Friendly: Older, calmer kids are best for her. Smaller children make her nervous, especially if they get too close too fast. Training: She knows the basics; sits before getting her food dish and is pretty good at coming when called. Could use some better leash manners but has improved. She really wants to meet and play with other friendly dogs on walks. She would likely benefit from some socialization to gain confidence in new/public situations. Like most huskies, she is a runner, so caution by the doors and getting in and out of the car is needed. Grooming Needs: Normal husky coat brushing about once a week or so, more when blowing her coat. She does shed less than other huskies we’ve had, her fur is on the shorter side which helps. Does okay with baths but only needs that once or twice a year. Gets dirty while playing, but the dirt tends to fall off quickly – it’s a husky thing. Fence: Yuki would do best with at least a 4-foot-high fence, 6 feet would be better. She loves to be outside; rain or snow do not bother her much. She hasn’t tried to dig out lately but is a true husky escape artist so should be supervised even with a fence! Solo or Siblings: Yuki would do best with a male dog with lots of energy to match hers in play. Preferably male husky (or other high energy dog) around her age or younger. Once she got comfortable in her foster home, she started being less tolerant of female dogs in the home. We’ve been working on that. She could also do well as a solo dog, with lots of play and attention to get her energy out. From the Foster: Yuki is a sweet, furry little princess who loves attention and belly rubs. She has her relaxation times and has her zoomies and loves to play. She’s a bit shy and hesitant in new situations and would benefit from socialization and group training class. Like a typical husky, she loves to run, climb, jump etc, so may also benefit from joring or agility classes. She loves attention and belly rubs; she will lay on her back and paw at you or reach out to you for more if you stop. She is quite a talker, like many huskies are, and when the neighborhood dogs bark, she howls to join in. She is an all-around adventurous, loving, curious and goofy girl who may be shy and nervous at first, but who settles in fairly quickly to be her true husky self. She would love to have a more mature human or family to experience life with, and to help her learn to enjoy the world
