Age: 10 years old Weight: 82 lbs Dog friendly: yes, companion dog required Cat friendly: yes Kid friendly: yes Potty trained: yes Crate trained: no, will use an x-pen *Companion dog required* Hi! My name is Kodiak. But you can call me Kodi! Not to toot my own horn, but I am a beautiful Husky and Malamute mix. I spent nine years with my previous family until they could no longer care for me. I had a dog sister and cat brother that I loved very much. I've proven myself to be great with dogs of all sizes and cats too! My whole world changed overnight and that was pretty hard for me at first. I had some separation anxiety in the beginning. But after I had some time to settle in, I understood that being in rescue means I am still safe and loved. I would definitely consider myself a gentle giant who absolutely loves a good cuddle. Wherever you decide to hang out I'll be there to provide a nice and fluffy pup to hug. I am a "pack dog" through and through. I love every human I meet, and I'm great with kids too! When I go to the dog park, sometimes it's hard for me to decide whether to say hi to the humans or the dogs first. I would be great for humans who work from home or have flexible schedules so I can get potty breaks during the day. I don't do well in a crate. But if you want to contain me in an x-pen or an area in the house, I'll just hangout there until you come back home. Once I fully settle in, you may be able to just let me hangout without containing me when you leave like my foster mom does. Keep your counters clear when you leave though! I'm a tall boy, and I may investigate food that's eye/nose level while you're gone. I'm a proud member of the "Woo -Woo" crew and love to talk when I'm excited. (Checkout my video). I know I am an older boy, but I still love walks and trips to the dog park. I really just want to be with you. I like to relax/snooze next to you during the day, but I will happily hop in your car for our next adventure.  I've been waiting for my new family for a while, but rescue has taught me that my best days are still ahead of me. I know you're out there. I can't wait to meet you! Adoption Fee: $325  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.INTERESTED IN MEETING ME?
