Story
Hi I’m Anne! My family says I am the sweetest girl :)  My favorite thing is to curl up in a cozy spot (preferably somebody’s bed) and take a nap. I also like to play with my toys, but I have to be careful because I have a heart condition and if I play too hard or get too excited, I have mini seizures that cause me to lose my balance and tip over. In more severe situations, I could experience a more serious seizure-like episode. I’m super sweet and gentle. I do well in and out of my crate and have only had a few accidents. My family has left me alone for up to seven hours and I have done just fine. I love meeting new people, but I’m not so sure about dogs. I can be around them, but if they get too close I might let them know. But my family thinks that with some training, I might be able to make some friends and maybe even live with other dogs. I also love riding in the car! I like staring out the window, and then when I am bored of that, I like to curl up in the back seat and take a nap.  I know my basic commands, but my family says I’m stubborn because I don’t always like to listen when they call my name and they want my attention. They also say I’m being dramatic when I give them my pouty eyes. I do okay on walks, but I need to use a harness since I do like to wander and explore and of course if I see a squirrel, rabbit, or another dog, I want to get a closer look!  I would do best with someone who likes to lay around with me and understands my physical limitations. Due to my heart condition, it is hard to predict how much time I have left, but I hope to find someone who is willing to love me anyway! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Meet Byron — the big-hearted goofball who loves his people. He is a lab mix born approx 9/10/23.  Byron is a sweet, snuggly boy who absolutely adores people. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who wants to be close to you at all times, Byron is ready to fill that role perfectly. He’s affectionate, loving, and always happy to soak up attention and cuddles. He’s house trained, crate trained, and loves having space to run, play, and let out his goofy energy. Whether it’s zooming around the yard or playing with his favorite people, Byron knows how to have a good time. Byron would do best as the only dog in the home initially, as he’s not comfortable with other dogs right away. However, once he feels secure and established in his environment, he tends to do much better and has shown he can especially warm up to puppies over time. He’s looking for a home that will give him patience, structure, and lots of love—and in return, he’ll give you endless affection and companionship                    Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Gentle soul ready for forever!Bug is an absolute sweetheart with a little extra charm—hence the nickname “Bugger”! DNA testing revealed he’s a unique Doberman/Husky mix, blending the loyal, loving nature of a Doberman with the playful spirit of a Husky. He adores being with his people, enjoys outdoor time, and will need a securely fenced yard since running is one of his favorite things. Bug is a mellow, easygoing snuggle buddy who’s happiest in a calm, predictable environment. He’s looking for a quiet, low-key home with older children only (13+), as young kids make him anxious. He prefers a peaceful household with a simple routine. He hasn’t been crated in many years, but his foster is gently reintroducing crate time in a positive way, and Bug is doing well—especially when meals are involved! He’s also comfortable being left out with a gate when you’re away. Bug does show some mild separation anxiety, which is being worked on with patience and consistency. This handsome guy is a bit of a counter surfer, so kitchen management and a locking trash can are a must. For enrichment, he prefers filled bones over plush toys. He loves being outside (no digging!), is generally quiet, and will let you know if it’s potty time—or if you’re running late with meals. Bug rides great in the car, walks nicely on a pinch collar, and is a rock star at the vet—nail trims included. He’s currently working on shedding a few extra pounds, so treats are limited and broken into smaller pieces. Bug is a gentle, affectionate companion who’s ready to settle into his forever home with people who appreciate a relaxed pace, lots of love, and a loyal shadow by their side. This fabulous foster is a Doberman Rescue Minnesota foster dog. Please read all adoption steps and policies carefully on our website. http://dobermanrescueminnesota.com/adoption-steps/ Qualified adopters are within the approved adoption area, and Adopter will be requested to visit this foster dog at the foster family home. Our foster families are generally located within a 250 mile radius of Minneapolis, MN. All DRM dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, health checked, microchipped, dewormed, 4DX tested, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention. July 8, 2026, 11:17 pm

💜 Come meet me at our Adoption Event at White Bear Lake Marketfest on Thursday, 6/2 starting at 6pm! We will be on 3rd Street and Washington Square. 💚 Date of birth: 4/6/2026 Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes Adoption fee: $625 What mix is Moira? It's anyone's guess other than 100% good girl. She came into rescue as a bébé and she has been opinionated about things from day one. She prefers her four paws on the floor but tolerates being carried if it means being included. She’s already figured out stairs and is determined to figure out how to get herself onto the couch. Moira also spends her time trying to play with her 80 pound foster brothers, digging in the sandbox and chasing the flirt pole. She prefers being positively bedeviled with meetings et cetera. It makes nap time that much better for her. Just like the Schitt's Creek fashion icon she's named after, Moira has a deep appreciation for footwear. Specifically yours. Specifically when you set them down anywhere near her. She is not sorry about it. “Let’s go. I’ve had enough waking hours for one day.” — Moira Rose

Age: 3 years old Weight: 45 lbs Dog friendly: Yes, requires companion dog in the home Cat friendly: Unknown Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Nelly is pure sweetheart. She’s done extremely well adapting to her foster’s home; house-trained, crate-trained, and not a single accident in the house. Nelly loves playing with other dogs, and equally enjoys playing fetch and tug-of-war with her humans. She’s savvy enough to bring her humans different toys to encourage them to play with her. She’s a big fan of couch cuddles, and will give a gentle nudge to entice further pets! Nelly does great on a leash and is working on heeling. She has lots of fun at the dog park, happily greeting other dogs and humans, and sometimes running like the wind. Nelly would do great with any family with lots of love to give, including a family with children! She would also do best with a family that has another dog. Adoption fee: $395.00

Story
Meet Ghoat. He’s being fostered in east TN. Out of state welcome for additional fee. We transport to the Greta lakes and northeast areas east areas. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs. Ghost had a home but unfortunately his owner could not longer care for him. He’s a really sweet pup. He loves attention and will come rest his head on your lap for petting and ear scratches. He gets along with most all other dogs big and small young or old. He is very playful and has lots of energy. He seems to be a husky mix. He has the curled husky tail and the coat of a medium coated husky but he also looks like he could be mixed with another breed. He’s not very big and only around 45 lbs. he’s a year old so he should not get much bigger. He probably will top out around 50-55 lbs. he is crate trained and house trained and walks well on a leash. He is a just a little shy when meeting new people and it doesn’t take long for him to warm up. He is one smart and sweet pup!

Story
Name: Yuki Sex: Female Color: Isabella White Eye Color: Brown Birthday: 11/15/20 Weight: 49lbs Large Dog Friendly: Yes, good with new dogs she meets. Does best with male dogs. Small Dog Friendly: So far, she has been good with the few smaller dogs she has met on leash. Cat Friendly: NO - very high prey drive. Crate Trained: Very short periods of time, and only while we are home. Trusted to free roam when we’re not home, but our home is pretty much husky-proof. Has a history of harming herself when crated in her first foster home. Housebroken: Yes, she will let you know when she needs to go out. Energy Level: She has her calm times and long naps, and she also gets zoomies and loves to play rough a few times a day like most huskies. She loves walks and loves to be outside watching squirrels or bunnies in a fenced yard. Reaction to New People: Good with adults and older kids. Working on manners and socialization. Kid Friendly: Older, calmer kids are best for her. Smaller children make her nervous, especially if they get too close too fast. Training: She knows the basics; sits before getting her food dish and is pretty good at coming when called. Could use some better leash manners but has improved. She really wants to meet and play with other friendly dogs on walks. She would likely benefit from some socialization to gain confidence in new/public situations. Like most huskies, she is a runner, so caution by the doors and getting in and out of the car is needed. Grooming Needs: Normal husky coat brushing about once a week or so, more when blowing her coat. She does shed less than other huskies we’ve had, her fur is on the shorter side which helps. Does okay with baths but only needs that once or twice a year. Gets dirty while playing, but the dirt tends to fall off quickly – it’s a husky thing. Fence: Yuki would do best with at least a 4-foot-high fence, 6 feet would be better. She loves to be outside; rain or snow do not bother her much. She hasn’t tried to dig out lately but is a true husky escape artist so should be supervised even with a fence! Solo or Siblings: Yuki would do best with a male dog with lots of energy to match hers in play. Preferably male husky (or other high energy dog) around her age or younger. Once she got comfortable in her foster home, she started being less tolerant of female dogs in the home. We’ve been working on that. She could also do well as a solo dog, with lots of play and attention to get her energy out. From the Foster: Yuki is a sweet, furry little princess who loves attention and belly rubs. She has her relaxation times and has her zoomies and loves to play. She’s a bit shy and hesitant in new situations and would benefit from socialization and group training class. Like a typical husky, she loves to run, climb, jump etc, so may also benefit from joring or agility classes. She loves attention and belly rubs; she will lay on her back and paw at you or reach out to you for more if you stop. She is quite a talker, like many huskies are, and when the neighborhood dogs bark, she howls to join in. She is an all-around adventurous, loving, curious and goofy girl who may be shy and nervous at first, but who settles in fairly quickly to be her true husky self. She would love to have a more mature human or family to experience life with, and to help her learn to enjoy the world

Story
Name: Borris Sex: Male Color: Black & White Eye Color: Bi-Eyes, one blue/one brown Birthday: 04/25/2022 Weight: 67 lbs Large Dog Friendly: Yes Small Dog Friendly: Yes Cat Friendly: Not really, he doesn't want to eat them, from what we can tell, but he is way too interested for comfort. Crate Trained: No, we are working on this. He will do short stints (10 min or so) while he is eating, or if we are practicing, but he is extremely vocal and unsettled if put in kennel for any longer period of time. Currently he is sleeping with his foster parents in their bed or on the floor in the room. Housebroken: Yes. He had one poo accident in his foster's home the very first night within a few mintes of arriving, otherwise, he has not had an accident in his fosters home. Energy Level: Medium - He can be very high energy at mealtimes and on walks, but he also loves to curl up on the couch and chill. Reaction to New People: Curious, friendly, wants to meet and get pets. Kid Friendly: Seems to be; fosters don't have children, but the children he has interacted with on walks he seems to have been fine with. Training: Knows sit, shake, other and, 'sometimes' stay. Grooming Needs: Shorter husky coat. Typical husky grooming should be expected. Fence: Highly recommend. His fosters have a 6' fence and that has been fine. He digs when he is bored. Solo or Siblings: Either would work. He really likes to have his foster sister around, she seems to settle him somewhat from his seperation anxiety. From the Foster: Boris is a sweet, sweet boy. He is a total lap dog, loves to lay on the couch or on the bed with his people and at times can be a very 'demaning' cuddler. We feed him and his foster sister seperatly, and that seems to work well. We recently introduced toys while the two of them are together and that seems to be going well. Boris loves to go for walks and car rides. He loves to spend time outside as well as chilling inside. We took him to a dog friendly restaurant and he did well. Took him a little bit to settle down, but then he was about as polite as a 3.5 year old husky can be expected to be. While we don't know his full background, we believe he had a bonded sister at one point. He does not like being left alone, especially in a kennel. He gets very upset and vocal. Boris would be a great addition to a family in need of a silly, sweet, cuddly and sometimes chaotic husky! Adoption Fee: $350 All dogs coming into Adopt a Husky Minnesota receive care tailored to their needs, including: Nose-to-tail exam with a partner veterinarian, Vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella), 4DX test to check for heartworm or tick exposure, Fecal Analysis, Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative, Spay/Neuter prior to adoption, Microchip, and are evaluated for temperament and trainability.

Housebroken: 80 % Energy Level: High Reaction to New People: Excited Kid Friendly: Unsure Training: Basics needed Grooming Needs: Normal- brushing, baths blowout etc. Fence: Would recommend - she can already climb over a two foot playpen. Solo or Siblings: Unsure - she is very independent but loves to rough house with other dogs as well. From the Foster: MJ is a sassy, independent lady. She started out as a shy, mellow puppy and has quickly grown into her husky characteristics. She loves to cause chaos, avoid listening and zoom around.
