Story
This is beautiful Brad, a gorgeous (almost certainly purebred) Husky! We call him Brad because of his piercing blue eyes and his scruffy movie star looks! Brad is about 62 lbs and 7 years old. He LOVES people. He is a gentle soul that likes an occasional goofy play session with his human. He also loves attention and always welcomes head scratches. He hasn’t recently been around dogs so we don’t know how he acts. He would be good with older children because we haven’t seen him interact with young children. If interested in adopting, please complete our application, link below (you can copy and paste into your browser). https://www.miraclesforsatosrescue.org/adoption-foster-application --------------------------------------------- PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently in Puerto Rico. Once an adopter is fully approved, transport will be arranged to the New York/NJ area. We DO adopt out of state, but you must come to pick up. In addition, if you are applying for this dog or any of our pups, you must be open to dog psychology/behavior (Cesar Millan) and fulfilling the needs of the dog. We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority. We ask that you please make sure if interested in a puppy or high energy breed that you are ready for this time consuming/daily endeavor and have patience as this is a long term commitment (could be 15+ years). Please consider your future lifestyle after COVID. Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment is the most important thing in caring for a dog. In addition we cannot guarantee breed of any dog or expected adult size of a puppy. Thank you for understanding.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cuddles (TX) is a male Siberian Husky mix rescued in Texas.  Our vet partners estimate his age as 3 years old at the time of intake in Sept 2022.   He is good with all people and dogs.  Cuddles was suffering in a shelter weak from being malnourished and attacked by ticks due to his living conditions.  He received medical care, good food and now he's doing amazing at his foster home, the only thing missing is a home of his own.  Although this adorable guy was in rough shape he remains sweet in fact it's hard to get a picture because he just wants to come to you for pets.  He is great with his 2 and 4 year old foster human siblings. He's house and crate trained, a couch potato and loves to be near his humans.  He's anxious to find his forever home, if you would like to show Cuddles how happy life can be, please apply online to adopt Cuddles (TX) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.   RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption.   Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Flynn (TX) is a male husky mix, maybe with some shepherd and/or lab rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Flynn is 10 months old at the time of intake early Mar 2023. Flynn is good with people and other dogs. This sweet pup was running outside in the elements with no parental guidance. We scooped him up, cleaned him up and found a foster home. He didn't mind the bath and actually thinks he might be able to put his good looks to use. He checked in from his foster home and said it's pretty cool, people are nice and they listen to great music, He does have a curfew though but he doesn't mind. He is adjusting and loves playing with his toys! Flynn is energetic, as expected for a dog his age. Likes to walk on leash and doing well. He gets the zoomies in the yard but is also happy to chill. Flynn l oves to give kisses and is a super sweet dog overall and very smart! Do you need a new family member that you can shower with love and get unconditional love back? Flynn could be your guy! Please apply online to adopt Flynn (TX) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. Story
Costeñito is a 11 month old, 20lbs, mix breed pup from Tijuana! Costeñito is a friendly, fun loving, and charming pup. He has adjusted well during his time in New York City. Costeñito enjoys long walks, adventures, and playing with his favorite toys. He is currently learning basic commands and is eager to please his foster family. During his time with his foster family, he seems to be close to fully house trained. He prefers to go potty outside but likes to be on a schedule. Costeñito is great on a leash but is still working on pulling. His forever family will need to continue working with Costeñito to reinforce and advance the progress he has been making. Costeñito has done well in his crate during the day. He loves to be cozy with his foster family and can often be found curled up next to his favorite human with his favorite toy. Costeñito is looking for an active family. He appreciates downtime and loves active moments! He would do best as a solo dog or with an older pet sibling who can teach him the ropes. We would recommend Costeñito go to a home with any active family. He would thrive in a family setting!  Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, canine coronavirus, and bordetella. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. To apply for Cosenito, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Adoptions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org ##2016121##

Story
Bruno...Big Bruno....Big Bruno-ishka!!! Bruno-ishka came into the rescue while he was still in the womb of his mama, Mama-ishka! A good samaritan reached out to us to help Mama. She was a regular stray in the neighborhood especially after her owners up and left her behind. They moved and didn't bother to take her with them. Bruno-ishka is the only male in his litter of 5 puppies. You can tell where his Mama dog, Mamaishka, loves to play with him and cuddle him and love on him. He is a mama's boy for sure!!! Bruno-ishka must seem to know that he is the only male in his litter because he has an opinion about everything! If he does not like being in his kennel, he will let you know. If he needs to pee/poo, he is going to let you know. If he is not happy about coming inside, he will let you know!!! This little fiesty guy is also a HUGE LOVE BUG!!! He does love to be petted, held, cuddled, etc. He will happily look at you with his big BLUE eyes and give you a big wet kiss! His gaze will melt your heart!!! Bruno-ishka is being kennel trained. He falls asleep by 10pm and wakes up bright and happy at 7:30am. He is also being potty trained. He will wake up and quickly make his way to the backyard door. He will even wake up from his naps and cry out to let us know he has to pee. He's a FAST learner! But, considering his very young age he will need continued training to help him be the best pup that he can be. He's at the perfect age to introduce into any home! Bruno-ishka is ready to be learn, love, and live as a puppy should be. Are you ready to have a fun and happy pup as a member of your family? All of Bruno-ishka's vetting has been done by my personal dogs' vet. The following is a list of what has been done for him... Neutered All 4 - DA2PP shots (Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2 (Hepatitis), Parvo, and Parainfluenza) Bordatella shot Rabies shot Dewormed Tested, Treated (if needed), and retested for giardia and coccidia Iverhart heartworm preventative Simparica fleas and ticks preventative Chipped There are two categories of vaccines: “core” vaccines that are recommended for all pets, and “non-core vaccines” which may be recommended by your vet based on lifestyle and exposure risk. The core vaccine for dogs is the Rabies vaccine, which is required by law. The second core vaccine for dogs is often referred to as the DA2PP or DHPP vaccine. This stands for “Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2 (Hepatitis), Parvo, and Parainfluenza”, meaning that this vaccine protects against FOUR different diseases. It is especially important for puppies to begin a series of DA2PP vaccines at six to eight weeks of age, as natural immunity obtained from the mother decreases and puppies become very susceptible to potentially life-threatening diseases such as Canine Parvovirus (Parvo). Parvo is transmitted through feces and can remain in the environment for at least one month, and up to a year if the conditions are right. This means that puppies do not need to be directly exposed to another dog that has Parvo in order to contract the disease, and caution is advised when choosing where and how to socialize and exercise your pup. We recommend avoiding exposure to unknown dogs or public places until your puppy has finished their vaccine series. BUT, all A.M.O.R. puppies (1 year old and less) have all FOUR shots. They are safe to join you and your family on your outdoor adventures and you can rest at ease. Non-core vaccines for dogs include Bordetella, Influenza, Leptospirosis and Lyme. The Bordetella (aka: Kennel Cough) help to prevent highly-contagious respiratory diseases, and are essential for dogs that may be exposed to other dogs, especially in group settings such as dog parks, daycare, or boarding facilities. All A.M.O.R. dogs and puppies are given a Bordatella vaccine. Bordatella boosters are given every 6 months. https://www.thedrakecenter.com/services/dogs/parasites/deworming-dogs The above link is to provide you information regarding why deworming is so important for all dogs of all ages (and for their families). All A.M.O.R.s are dewormed upon entering the rescue and then again 5 days before their health certificate visit (when they have been adopted and ready to travel). This dewormer is issued per our vet. And all pets are tested, treated (if needed), and retested for coccidia and giardia. A.M.O.R. provides you with this information so that you can be aware of the work and love that is given to each pet. Each puppy has visited the vet AT LEAST 5 times during their stay with us. They have seen the vet 4 times for their shots and will see the vet 1-2 more times prior to transport in order to obtain a health certificate for travel. Adult dogs have seen the vet AT LEAST 3 times. Two visits for their shots and 1-2 visits prior to transport in order to obtain a health certificate. Are you ready to have a lifetime of fun with Bruno-ishka??? All animals receive a health certificate (stating that a licensed veterinarian saw the pet and deemed it healthy for travel, but is not a promise of perfect health). Please email for an A.M.O.R. application in order to be considered. Please note: this pet is located out of state.
