Story
This gorgeous girl is so lucky to be alive! We were driving down a busy four lane highway when we spotted her run across the highway barely missing getting run down by a large box truck. She ran into the parking lot of a Dollar General so we immediately pulled into the parking lot and luckily she ran up to our van and jumped right in! We tried and tried to find her owner but to no avail. It's hard to see in the pics but she has one blue eye and one golden eye. We suspect she had a little Husky in her but we did a DNA anyway, lots and lots of breeds in her DNA, including 5% Chihuahua! She's a super mutt! Clarice is spayed, fully vaccinated, crate trained and microchipped. She is available for immediate transport PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE $600

Story
Meet Evelyn, this pretty girl is 2 years old and 45lbs. She walks well on leash and crate trained. She has gotten along with every dog she has met, but small animals and cats probably aren’t a good idea. Evelyn does have a bite history, but has done very well in her time with us. She will need a large yard with a 6 ft fence. and likes to be outside most of the day. She may prefer a doggie door so she is free to roam. Evelyn is a headstrong girl, and does better when she can be free to spend her time roaming outside. Interested in becoming a forever home for Evelyn the Husky? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Evelyn the Husky. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Evelyn the Husky the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
It breaks our heart to be looking into rehoming Maverick but we realized it is best for us and Maverick to have a home better than ours. Our schedules have unfortunately become too hectic since getting him. It hurts because he has 0 behavioral issues outside what you could expect from a nearly 6 month old pup. Hes SMART, he learned tricks like it was nothing, and will be your buddy 100%. If my wife and I had a home with a yard and less hectic schedule, Maverick would never be on this website because he truly is a sweetheart that has eyes that melt you. ONLY looking for applicants who have a YARD and preferably live outside the city. We wont let him go for another crammed city lifestyle home. There is a fee as we wanted to wean out any candidates who aren’t serious about Maverick after coming across candidates who applied when there was no fee and weren’t true to their profile description. We will give you his large size crate, vaccination records, and anything else we have.

Story
Alpha is about 5 months but he seems like he’s gonna be a big boy. He’s very friendly and energetic and loves attention and loves to give attention. I’ve trained him to pee and poop on pads as well as come when I whistle and sit when I tell him to sit and he also stops and you tell him to stop with meaning. As much as I love him I don’t wanna be selfish and keep him because I do not have the time, and most importantly space and environment that he needs.

Story
Introducing Heather, an endearing 11-month-old Husky/Lab mix in search of her forever home! With her captivating coat and soulful eyes, she's bound to capture your heart. While timid at first, Heather warms up impressively quickly and blossoms into a sweet and silly character once she establishes trust. Heather delights in moments of relaxation, often found curled up (or sprawled out!) in her favorite spot, savoring the serenity of a peaceful nap. Her love for chew toys knows no bounds-be it bones, plushies, or anything in between, Heather adores them all equally! While still navigating the dynamics of playtime with people, she seems content entertaining herself. Heather takes breaks from her toys and naps to seek out affectionate pets and rubs from her pawrents. An outstanding feature of Heather is her remarkable house training. This intelligent pup comprehends the importance of maintaining good potty habits and hasn't had a single accident. Her confidence during city walks continues to grow, and she eagerly anticipates joining you on trips to the park or, even better, a nice romp around a yard! If you're in search of a devoted and affectionate companion for your home, Heather will be the perfect match. Her gentle demeanor makes her a delightful addition to any family willing to shower her with the love and patience she deserves as she continues to build confidence and learns how fun it is to be a dog! Heather is currently being fostered in Ewing, NJ and her adoption fee is $425. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
