Story
Meet Delta! 🐾 Delta is an adult male Husky with a vibrant, energetic personality and a heart full of love. Like many Huskies, Delta thrives on activity and will need regular exercise and mental stimulation to stay happy and balanced. Long walks, outdoor adventures, and interactive games are right up his alley. Delta is housebroken, crate trained, and already knows his basic commands—he’s eager to learn more and would enjoy continued training with a committed owner. Given his high energy and working breed background, Delta would do best with a family that can provide him with structure, consistency, and plenty of opportunities to stay active. He would do best in a home without other animals and with people who understand and appreciate the needs of an intelligent, active breed. The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs if you already have a dog. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!

Story
Oh Marco 💗 Gosh you are such a goober. I can’t even describe you without a huge grin plastered across my face 😁 You are adorably ditzy and so, so sweet and affectionate ❤ Marco is a little shy when meeting new people but takes all of 2 minutes to warm up. He approaches and becomes sillier and more affectionate by the minute. He does a C shape lean into you for pets and hugs, and as you’re doing that, he leans in for kisses 💗. If you greet him with excitement, he matches your energy. He does silly hops around you, matches your dance with tippy paws. Outside, Marco is all about checking out the environment. He pulls slightly and zigzags in front of you as if he has a destination. He sniffs, he explores, puts on his selective hearing ear buds and completely ignores you until he has his fill of his surroundings and then he suddenly remembers you are there. He then comes to you and does his signature leans. Wants your love, pets and cuddles😊 This adorable comic is so silly, he doesn’t know how to navigate his way around snow. He slips and loses his balance while running through the snow. He plants face down into the snow 😃. Unheard of for a Husky! Full disclosure Marco does not know any commands currently. He looks at you adoringly with a twinkle in his eyes when you try to teach him commands. Otherwise, Marco is a surprisingly low key, low maintenance adorable Husky. He is wonderful in a crate. Does great with kids and dogs. He is an overall sweet, awesome boy! Marco is a year old, 50lb Siberian Husky. He is looking for a semi-active family who could provide him with a balance of outside adventures and inside cuddles. He is an affectionate pup so a home with doesn’t mind traces of his fur on the couch is great!

Tundra has been so patient waiting for her forever home! Tundra is a perfect age and size! At 6 years old and 35 lbs, she's past the pesky puppy phase and a perfect cuddle size. She's either a petite husky or a pomsky. Tundra is great with dogs of all sizes and she loves doggie daycare! She certainly came out of her shell since we first got her. Tundra would love some canine friends to frolic with. Email us at therescueinn@gmail.com for more info and put in an adoption application here: https://therescueinn.com/adoption-application.html

Story
Ghost had a trial adoption, but it did not work out. He needs a fenced in yard to run and play. Ghost is approximately 2 years old. He is a beautiful Siberian Husky weighing 40 lbs. Ghost was found as a stray. Love-A-Stray had him neutered, vaccinated and microchipped at the Avon Lake Animal Clinic. Ghost's foster said he is really a wonderful dog! He is housebroken and knows a few basic commands. His foster has offered to take Ghost to obedience training. He is dog friendly, but cats are unknown, so a cat-less home is best. Ghost has dark ice-blue eyes, and he often looks like he is smiling when taking a walk--he LOVES to go for trail walks and does well on lead. Ghost also loves to ride in the car. He is a pleaser and thrives on praise and is very trainable. We always suggest adopters are familiar with the Husky. A fenced in yard is a must for this active breed and a really good vacuum cleaner since they do shed LOL. If you are interested in Ghost, please submit an online application so we can learn a little about you to make sure Ghost would be a good match for you and your family. We do not do out of state adoptions, due to our trial adoption process. Adoption fee/donation is $.200.00 If you have specific questions, please email the adoption coordinator at info@loveastraydog.com If you can't foster or adopt, please consider donating to help us with medical expenses and ongoing care. You can mail your donation to: Love-A-Stray, P.O. Box 125, Attn: Ghost, Avon Lake, OH 44012 or visit www.loveastraydog.com for credit card/PayPal information, adoption application, available dogs and upcoming events. Thank you!
