Story
To say that Hanna adores human attention would be an understatement. This fluffy pup immediately mellows out whenever she receives affection from anyone – be it strangers, children, or the elderly. But don't be fooled by her antics. The moment it's time to return to her kennel, she unleashes the husky's trademark howl, serenading the shelter with her rendition of the "shelter dog blues." Her vocal prowess echoes throughout the center, leaving no doubt about her desire for companionship. In 2020, Hanna found her home through OHAR, where she lived alongside another dog and children. However, due to unforeseen hardships, her family faced tough decisions and returned her to OHAR. This turn of events has left Hanna heartbroken, yet she remains resilient, determined to find her fairy tale ending once again. Could you be the one to offer Hanna the love and stability she so deserves?Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess

Story
Meet Indigo! He is a 1 yr old neutered male Siberian Husky that weighs 54lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 4/12 as a stray. This sweet gentle boy is very handsome! With all the different smells and noise of other dogs barking can make a pup uncomfortable. We are letting Indigo take his time to realize that we are here to help him feel better, and look forward to finding his own loving home. He enjoys resting on his own dog bed surrounded with stuffed and squeaky toys. Being petted and given treats made him happy. He finds comfort in his kennel, and is learning it is ok to walk with us on a leash. We will continue to spend time with him, and complete another evaluation soon to show his progress. If this sweet boy pulls at your heartstrings like he does ours and you can offer him the loving home he deserves please come spend time with him.
