Story
Meet Peanut, a fun-loving pup with an awesome personality that’s sure to steal your heart! Peanut really comes alive during playtime. He loves playing with squeaky toys and running around in the backyard. Peanut has a very intelligent and extremely curious personality. He spends most days playing, napping, and repeating. Peanut is still learning not to jump on people and he’s picking up on house manners quickly. He’s very treat-motivated, so he picks up commands very quickly. Peanut would do very well in an active household and would make a perfect hiking/trail companion due to his athleticism and curious personality! He would benefit from an experienced owner due to his high energy level. Story
Copper is all about spreading joy! He is a playful, 2-year old with a curious nature and friendly personality. While fetch might not be his thing, Copper makes up for it with his personality. He loves to play and run around, but also loves hanging out and napping with his favorite human. He gets along with the other small dogs in his foster home and enjoys a game of chase. He can be shy meeting new people, but give him a minute and he will be your best friend. He is an unknown around kids, but due to his petite size (10lbs), he would be best with kids over 10 years. He’s a pro on the leash, making walks a delightful adventure. Copper’s enthusiasm knows no bounds! Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to welcome Copper into your home and experience the joy of having a furry friend by your side! Story
Chowder is a perky, happy, absolutely adorable little terrier mix.  He was found by a volunteer as a stray and after his stray hold expired we brought him to PAW to find his forever home. Chowder loves people, he is very affectionite at his foster's home snuggling and eager for attention.  He is a small guy, 14 pounds and 3-4 years old. Chowder would love to find his forever home.  He does well with other dogs, not sure about cats.  He would fit easily into an apartment and be happy to go everywhere with his special human.  Chowder will be recovering from his neuter and ready to meet potential adopters in a couple of weeks.  Don't you want this special guy in your life?  Apply today!   PAW adopts dogs in the DC/ MD/ VA/ PA area only. ##2197786##

Story
This precious little brindle girl is considered to be a Jack Russell dachshund mix girl and is always going to be what you call a lowrider dog in her life. She is looking for a home that is active and can take her fun puppy antics all in stride. She is a climber very similar to a little monkey and she loves to explore the great outdoors with her nose. She only moves slow when she's about ready to collapse and take a nap. She snuggles. She gets along with other dogs including a huge 100 lb Golden Retriever. She is a happy girl and did not like her photo session. It made her shy and not looking as confident as she truly is in real life. She is currently 9 lb at 12 weeks of age. We think that she was born somewhere around the middle of June. She will be perfect for a home that has a fenced-in backyard as she is not a fan of the leash yet and does need the ability to be able to run to her heart's desire. She will perhaps learn leash training easier in a harness. She is ready for adoption now and if you are ready for the excitement and activity of your life then sign up by writing to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. We anticipate her final adult weight to be in the 20 lb range PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.October 10, 2024, 10:23 pm

Junior came to us from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. He is now on the hunt for his forever home. Could that be with you? Junior is a very sweet fella. Playtime is his favorite time, and he loves making human and canine friends alike. At his young age, Junior is in his prime for training and socialization too.
