If you are interested in adopting this dog,  please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/genericYou can learn about the adoption process by visiting: http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/.  Dog's Name:  Zuko  (ZUK1122OWSMN)Estimated Breed:  Jack Russell Terrier / Feist MIX  Approximate Age:   2-3 yearsApproximate Weight:  20 LBSCurrently Living at:   FosterAdoption Fee: $400DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Zuko is a cute litte man who was left in a crate as a puppy and found outside a shelter. Although he’s had some ups and downs in his young life so far, he is now safe and hanging out in his new foster home while he waits to find his forever family. Zuko likes his doggy buddies, and people are ok too, once he gets to know you. He just needs a little time to warm up when meeting new friends. Zuko can get nervous around young children, so an adult home would be best. He would love to find an experienced adopter who will give him the happy life he deserves. Zuko would do best in a single family home with a large fenced yard. He doesn't like strangers coming in his home, he's a good guard dog, but approved visitors need to move slowly after a slow introduction. He is very protective of his family. Won’t you consider opening your heart and home to this sweet boy. Zuko would love to meet you!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  . Joe is a  little fellow who craves a stable life with someone who will be his forever! He enjoys his walks and walks well on a leash although he has a lot to say about everything going on around him.  At the end of the day will be quite happy to join you on the couch for some belly rubs and cuddle time. He is crate trained but he can be a bit barky so might not be best for an apartment/condo.  He would do particularly well with another, confident, friendly dog to lead the way.  If you give Joe a chance to have a loving home, he will be your devoted companion for life!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. Story
Lil Klinger has a name that suites him to a T!  It means “courageous” and he is such a Lil courageous guy indeed.  But to add to this courage, he is also a confident, intelligent boy that has endured the hard times when his human family could struggle no longer and keep him. He was reluctantly surrendered to our rescue and we have delighted in see what a truly beloved boy he is.  This dog would fit in anywhere, anytime, anyway.  Lil Klinger is a 2 year old, 27 pound Jack Russell mix boy that is living in a foster home with two big foster fur brothers that don’t have anything ahead of Lil Klinger.   He can and does run with the best of them. He’s housetrained, loves car rides, happily accompanies his foster dad on his long walks and the active adventures his human dad loves to go on.  This boy, Klinger loves to explore and live life to the fullest with lots of new experiences. He embraces all the new things and enjoys playing with his toys and is ALWAYS ready for playtime.  If you are looking for a couch potatoe then Klinger would qualify only on short term moments.  He is a great and active breed that makes a wonderful family dog that you will spend time with and actively seek the exercise time that he needs.   He would be a wonderful dog for a  young family, young couple or a  young single person that is a runner, an explorer and a dog owner that might even want to do some agility activities together.  Of course Klinger is neutered , UTD on all vaccinations, microchipped and on heartworm prevention with a clear fecal and wormings done. we admit we are partial when it comes to Lil Klinger and he is one of the cuter and definitely the nicest small dog you could find or consider to add in your life. Don’t let this one get away!  If you are interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let’s start this ball rolling for his new forever committed home and family. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 26, 2024, 11:20 pm

Story
Noelle is the sweetest little Jack Russell mix girl who is 3 years old and weighs 22 pounds.  This little sweetheart could use a nice daily exercise walk and measured food and in no time she would be 4-5 pounds lighter and trimmed up just in time for her summer swimsuit!  She would be the best exercise buddy that will give you purpose and the desire to get out in the Spring air.  She was found as a stray in a small town in Tennessee and everyone at the shelter says she is the best dog ever!  She is good on a leash and loves everyone….dogs, cats, children and wants to please you in every way.   If you are looking for a perfect TV/couch companion and a dog that will adore you till her last day on this earth, then you really must consider helping precious Noelle get out of the shelter and become YOURS!  Please consider an adoption or even a foster time with you!  Write to us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 26, 2024, 11:20 pm

Story
Male, approx. 14 years old, 20 lbs Personality: smart, brave, snuggler. Meet Rollin, a senior guy who had to be given up because his senior citizen owner could no longer care for him. We know, it's heartbreaking. I'm not crying, you're crying. Rollin is a gentle fellow who enjoys short walks and all the ear scratches available. A compliment to his age, Rollin is a smart, affectionate, and brave senior citizen who doesn't need a lot of exercise (a few relaxed walks per day will do) and is content with quality sniffing spots and a surprise treat... or two... or three. In fact, Rollin likes a bit of a food challenge and enjoys using a "snuffle" mat to make meal-time extra fun and enriching. A true Jack Russell mix, Rollin will not hesitate to let you know when he wants attention or thinks there is something to be worried about. With that said, he recently had his nails trimmed at the veterinarian and the staff said he was one of the best behaved boys they've ever had for nail trimming. Leave it to this senior guy to be a staff favorite. If you're looking for a dog-friendly dog, Rollin may be your "man"! He gets along well with the resident dogs (both large and small) in his foster home and walks nicely on a leash. To top it off, Rollin hasn't had any accidents and his foster trusts him outside of the crate. Rollin is advanced in years, and he wants nothing more than to become your affectionate, loyal, and charming companion. ________________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application.
