Please contact Caitlin Finn (caitlin.finn@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.sweet girl who has beauty AND brains! BEAUTY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Name:  Beauty        Best Guess for Breed:  Jack Russell terrier and Lab mix  Best Guess for Age:  11 months as of January 2026       SEX:  Female   Approximate Weight: 24 lbs as of 1/10/26; might have just a bit more to grow   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! She also has lived with cats! We haven't seen her with kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   DC area foster home   Beauty is Looking For:  Beauty has brains and a heart too and she knows what's most important in life - being safe and loved, knowing where she belongs! She's seeking her own humans for sniffy walks and romps and world exploration - and for all those great snuggles. She'd love to make pup pals along the way, and would like to go to dog school so she can show how super smart she is.    In exchange, she promises so many adoring gazes - and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Is Beauty the one you see by your side? What My Foster Says About Me:   Beauty is the perfect size and is one of those dogs who quietly steals your heart just by being herself. From the moment she arrived, it was clear how special she is. She immediately got along well with our resident dog and has been very respectful of the cats! She is a snuggle bug with both dogs and humans and loves nothing more than curling up in bed and giving sweet kisses. She has done great sleeping through the night in her crate and has been such a respectful house guest so far. She’s the kind of dog who fits right into your life and makes everything a little sweeter. Whoever adopts her is going to be very, very lucky!       Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Story
Spot is personality and then some. He is not only adorable, but he is also high energy, loving, and playful. Spot came to us as a stray from PG County. He is engaging, fun, and as cute as a button! Spot gets his name from the spots down his back. He is white with black spots, and he is also marked by his perky ears, his fun-loving nature, and his interest in getting attention from everyone. Spot loves people and other dogs too (we don't know about cats or children yet). He does not seem to know basic commands yet, but he iis treat motivated and will likely learn quickly. Spot is new to PAW, so we will update his profile as we learn more about him. ##2619250##

However, I am not a fan of strangers in my home or on walks, and I can be protective of my people. I prefer slow introductions and I'll be fine once I get to know you.      My ideal home would be a rural one with a fenced yard. I am well behaved in the house and crate trained.  I’m eager to please and I like to learn. Honestly, I just want someone to love full time and I hope that person is you.  Apply today and come meet me ASAP!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. To learn more about Hardy, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org. Hardy will be at one of our adoption events this weekend! Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. Meet Hardy, a sweet pup with a big personality, a wag-worthy stub tail, and a heart full of curiosity! Found as a stray, Hardy has made it very clear he’s more than ready to be someone’s best friend. This friendly, social boy brings joyful energy wherever he goes. Hardy may be compact, but he’s sturdy and energetic, with a build very similar to a Jack Russell. He loves toys, playtime, and especially treats. A true smart cookie, he enjoys puzzle toys that let him sniff, think, and put his problem-solving skills to work. He’s doing well with both potty and crate training, and like most puppies, Hardy is still learning his manners. He has some typical puppy mouthiness during play, but with continued training and plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and positive guidance, this boy is going to shine. Hardy would thrive in an active home ready to help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and smart pup who’s equal parts fun and cuddles, Hardy just might be your guy!

Story
Bougie Gal!MEET PARIS!  Ms. Paris likes to stay in the Hilton brand when she’s traveling because she loves the finer things in life. Ha! But seriously, she is a fun little dog who enjoys being in loving homes after having served her time in a shelter waiting to be adopted. Once ‘home’, she started being a dog. One that likes to do all the doggy things; like bark out the window, sleep on the couch, pull her owner around the block on walks, and eat all the yummy treats. Unfortunately, her new owner hadn’t had a younger dog in a while (she’s 6 years old) and didn’t account for the energy that a younger dog brings into a home. While not destructive, Paris was too much for her senior owner.  Now in her Tara’s House foster home, Paris is awaiting her furever family. She is still that happy girl who has a zest for life and her energy isn’t any more than average. Her foster mom reports that she is wonderful. (There are no other dogs in the home, but Paris lived with a senior cat at her adoptive home and was fine with it.) Outside the home; she is more high-strung because she didn’t have the strong leadership that her insecurities required. She also had been living the high life a little too long and needs to shed a few pounds. She currently weighs in at 24lbs, but don’t let her know we told you!  To that end, our wonderful partners at Ridgeside K9 Central MD will take Paris for their board and train program. There she will learn consistency and obedience, and will have all the foundations needed for future success. Paris’ future adopters will have a fabulously trained dog and will receive guidance on how to continue her on her learning path. Paris’ adoption donation fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, routine vetting and a microchip. You can apply for her by filling out our online application, which is found on our website www.tarashouse.org.  Please email us at info@tarashouse.net with any questions.January 12, 2026, 7:17 pm
