Story
My pet is not house- trained, but he is smart and listen. Unfortunately me and my partner work too much, so we can’t teach him properly, and moreover spend more time with him. We realize that he needs a new family. Sadly, we have no other choice, but to give him up. He would love to play with some other dogs or kids. He loves to run, jumps, and play with his squeaky toys. If someone would love to have this active baby by their side please let me know.

Story
Sammy came to us as a puppy, as well as his sister, three years ago this coming December . Even though he has not bitten anyone in the last 10 days, he will bite and is afraid and aggressive around strangers. We are looking to rehome him because he and his sister do fight from time to time and she is much smaller than he is. It’s stressful in that they can get along for months and months; and suddenly they are going at it. Our trainer is going to be working with Sammy to work through some of his issues as much as she can prior to his adoption. For the most part, he is loving and wants to be next to you in some way. He plays with toys on his own and loves to fetch balls outside. We only want to rehome him because it’s not fair to his sister, who gets the very worst of it when they fight! Sammy needs to be the only dog in a household where there are no children.

Although he’s had some ups and downs in his young life so far, he is now safe and hanging out in his new foster home while he waits to find his forever family. Zuko likes his doggy buddies, and people are ok too, once he gets to know you. He just needs a little time to warm up when meeting new friends. Zuko can get nervous around young children, so an adult home would be best. He would love to find an experienced adopter who will give him the happy life he deserves. Zuko would do best in a single family home with a large fenced yard. He doesn't like strangers coming in his home, he's a good guard dog, but approved visitors need to move slowly after a slow introduction. He is very protective of his family. Won’t you consider opening your heart and home to this sweet boy. Zuko would love to meet you!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  . Angelica came all the way from Tennessee and is now on the hunt for a home of her own. At just 5 months old, she is full of puppy curiosity and fun. Angelica is going to be a great puppy for someone, she is smart and takes cues well for her age. When an older dog told her to stop jumping on him, she left him alone. She did show interest in chasing the cat, but when he stopped, she left him alone. Once a cat corrects her once or twice, she will get the idea quickly. She is very friendly with people, dogs and cats. Please keep in mind puppies need patience and lots of love, along with frequent potty breaks, socialization, and some basic training to be the best canine citizens they can be. Angelica will make a wonderful companion for years to come. Will you give this lovely girl a loving forever home? Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. Story
Meet Shaka, a playful and smart Jack Russel terrier puppy who needs a loving home. Shaka is a four-month-old (DOB 5/14) male Jack Russel terrier who is looking for his forever family. He is up to date on all his vaccines. He is house-trained and very intelligent; he can learn new tricks quickly and loves to show them off. He is also very curious and adventurous; he enjoys exploring new places and playing with kids and other dogs. He has a lot of energy and needs a home that can provide him with enough exercise and stimulation. He has been fostered by a kind person for the past two months, but they can’t keep him due to their frequent travels. Shaka is very sweet and affectionate; he loves to cuddle and give kisses. He is loyal and friendly; he will make a great companion for anyone who can give him the attention and care he deserves. Shaka has a sister who also needs a forever home and would love to be adopted together, but they can also be separated if necessary.
