Story
Meet Remington (Remy), a 2.5-year-old Black Lab/German Shepherd mix. Remy is a sweet, cuddly boy with a strong personality and a passion for comfy sweaters. He prefers walks in his jacket when it’s cold, demonstrating his unique standards. Remy thrives as the only pet, being dog-reactive and protective on leash but calms down during walks. He'd love a fenced backyard for playtime and can coexist with fish and reptiles, but not with cats or dogs. Remy adores children, being gentle and respectful, and is great with adults too. At home, he’s an A+ roommate—fully potty trained, polite, and a great eater. He loves chew toys but craves closeness and cuddling afterward. Remy knows basic commands and enjoys treats like frozen carrots and cheese. He’s cooperative with vets and groomers but prefers mobile services due to past nail-clipping sensitivity. Crate-trained but enjoys free-roaming, he’s never destructive. Loyal and sweet, Remy seeks a loving companion who appreciates him for him.

Story
Snowflake is absolutely amazing!! She truly is my heart and soul. She is good for the soul and she is the sweetest girl in the world. I have had her whole life basically and she is nothing short of amazing. I am going through divorce and am in transition finding a good place to live, and I'm having to work more than I want to, but I have to in order to survive. I am not able to give her the time she needs by myself. She is still the best ever when I come home and she doesn't have a mean bone in her. Always happy to see me. I just want more for her and I don't want her to have to navigate this difficult process with me when I know she would be so happy in a permanent happy home with hopefully some furry brothers and sisters to play with. It will devastate me to do this but nothing worthwhile is easy and I know it's for the best. I just want her to be loved and spoiled like she deserves. She is a princess

Story
Meet Spider, a lovable 6-year-old Lab/American Bulldog mix who’s ready to find his forever home. Originally from Tucson, AZ, Spider was turned into a shelter after a farm incident involving one of his owner's pigs. Despite his past, Spider is a well-behaved and affectionate dog who gets along great with other dogs and people. Spider is smart and loving, with a warm personality that will brighten any home. He does take one pill per day (fluoxetine, similar to Prozac) to manage kennel stress, but with the stability and care of a forever home, he should be able to be weaned off this medication. If you’re looking for a gentle and loyal companion who will thrive in a stable environment, Spider is eager to be your new best friend.

Story
Meet Haus, a mellow and easygoing 9-year-old Lab/Boxer mix who’s looking for a loving home where he can truly shine. Haus is a well-behaved gentleman who thrives in a home environment and gets along well with cats. He’s a laid-back companion who enjoys the comfort of home and is not destructive. While Haus is a joy indoors, he can be reactive on a leash, so he will need an owner who is diligent and attentive during walks. Despite this, he remains an ideal dog in every other aspect. Haus is well-trained, easygoing, and will bring a calm and steady presence to any home where he is the only dog. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who is content with a relaxed lifestyle and can offer all his affection to a single-dog household, Haus is ready to find his forever family.

Story
Brownie — who may also be called “Chaucer,” because like the characters in The Canterbury Tales, he’s on a pilgrimage — could it be to find you? Brownie is outstanding in the home, wonderful with kids, and excellent with people. While he hasn’t been officially cat-tested, he may be okay with cats as well. He’s truly a foster favorite. He is gentle, affectionate, empathetic, and deeply loyal. And he has those antenna ears! Brownie has had a difficult past. He was found in a dumpster along the San Fernando Highway, and there is reasonable evidence that he may have been used as a bait dog. Because of this trauma, he must be the only dog in his home. When Brownie first came into rescue, he required urgent veterinary care, including the removal of embedded foxtails. He has since fully recovered and is thriving, with a soft coat, bright eyes, and a growing sense of safety and confidence. Brownie has completed professional training with Cade Overturf of Your Best Companion and has made wonderful progress. To support a successful transition, complimentary training sessions are included for his adopter, providing guidance and continuity as he settles into his forever home. Brownie loves walks, hikes, tug-of-war, and simply being by your side. He enjoys training, responds well to structure, and blossoms with consistent, calm leadership and affection. He is a kind soul with so much love to give and will be a devoted companion for the person or family ready to offer him a stable, dog-free home and a fresh chapter. Note from foster: Brownie is a gentle, affectionate dog who thrives with structure and consistency. He’s calm in the house, enjoys his walks and training, and forms a deep bond with his person. Because of his past, he needs to be the only dog in the home, but with people he is loyal, intuitive, and deeply loving. With a stable, dog-free home and continued guidance, Brownie will be a devoted and rewarding companion.
