Story
Duke is a super friendly goofy dog who is literally always happy. He came to us due to a coworker and able to take care of him. We are looking to place him with a loving home with a family and a backyard or farm where he can roam around. He does well if there is a doggie door so he can go out to go to the bathroom. He is still a puppy so some training is definitely needed. He walks well on a leash great with kids, babies, dogs and cats.

He promises he's a very good "Rein-dog" (reindeer!) who's searching for a loving family to celebrate Christmas with. Comet is ready to bring holiday cheer, endless cuddles, and plenty of festive wags to his forever home. Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.  Personality | Comet is a mellow, toy-loving pup who still enjoys jumping into the wrestling ring when his brothers invite him. He’s full of normal puppy energy, but nothing grabs his attention quite like a toy he can shake and pounce on. And once he’s done, he’s right back to his favorite hobby: napping. But truth be told, he’d usually rather curl up on his human’s lap and watch the other two wrestle from his cozy VIP seat.Story | They came from an oops litter in College Station, TX. Their mama is a gorgeous silver lab and we aren't sure who dad is. Dogs | He adores the grown dog in his foster home and follows her everywhere, soaking up everything she does.Cats | Comet is doing great with the cats in his foster home due to his wonderful demeanor and young age. Children | Would love kiddos who will play, snuggle, and give ALL the kisses! Training | In progress! All these babies are working on potty training and crate training. Comet sleeps peacefully through the night, snuggled up with his brothers in a warm, content little pile.Leash | Too little to leash walk, but will learn with time! Our rescue follows “No Paws on the Ground" (NPOG) as a safety protocol for young puppies, primarily used by veterinarians, shelters, and rescues. It means that an unvaccinated or partially vaccinated puppy should never be allowed to put their feet on the ground in any public or communal area where other dogs or animals may have been. These babies love to play in secure yards, and be snuggled and held on family walks.Activity Level | Moderate/high. Typical puppy who loves to nap, play, repeat! Health Notes | Healthy and happy!Thank you! | Adoption Donations |  Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. I am so happy to be here sporting my new Colorado collar and my snazzy winter scarf. I am super, super sweet and affectionate. I love: my foster people and following them around; hugs and pets; and resting on a bed near my new family or in the sunny spots around the house. I am also a champion canine wrestler and have been wrestling above my weight class of 45 pounds (the perfect size) and simply crushing it! When I wrestle and play with toys I make the best little grumbling noises. One of the resident canines makes A LOT of noise when people walk by the house but I don't chime in and I believe the squirrels have a right to be in the tree so I don't bark at them either. I like my crate and snooze through the night. As you can see from my photo, I am very handsome and have an awesome white stripe on my chest (with black polka dots peaking through) and some white flecks throughout my oh-so-soft coat. My coat is so amazing that I keep it on my body rather than spread it around the house. I also have the most beautiful brown eyes (each a slightly different shade) and my foster mom says I can see right into her soul. I have a crooked tail from a break that was never fixed from my pre-CO days but it doesn't bother me now and it is a testament to my resilience. When I first got here I wouldn't go down the stairs and wouldn't walk more than a block. In just a few weeks I'm launching myself down the stairs like they are part of an agility course and am up for a several mile walk. I'm very smart and learning "come, "sit," "leave-it" and "off" from my foster parents and "leave me alone" from one of the resident canines. I'm over-coming my fear of noises and can be in the kitchen when the blender is going, walk alongside a fence with a barking dog on the other side, and walk along busy streets. I'm ready to be your perfect match and with some patience and love I know I will thrive and will give my forever people so much love and affection. My sister got adopted quickly and now it's my turn. Please swipe right on my picture even though I may look a bit more like a boxer than a lab - I promise you will not be sorry.  Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.  Personality |  Ditto is a very sweet and loving boy without an aggressive bone in his body.  He is a little shy and cautious at first but is coming out of his shell with more exposure to people he meets on walks and at the pet store. He warmed up after just one day to the resident college kid when he came home for Thanksgiving. Ditto is a great dog who loves playing with other dogs but now that he has toys to play with he's learning to have fun on his own.Story | He was in an Arkansas foster home with his sister.  We don't know his story before that.Other Dogs | Good with other dogs, wants to play with them and made a new doggie friend last week  - they had a blast. He's not reactive towards other dogs that approach on walks but is cautious about them.  Cats | He met a kitty at his foster home in Arkansas and seemed curious, but polite! Children | Respectful older age children should be fine. We haven't tested him with younger foster children (foster home has older adolescents).Training | Still learning the basics but Ditto is smart, wants to make his people proud, and responsive to patience, consistency and positive reinforcement. He's already picked up leave it, off and sit.  He's housebroken.Leash | In just 3 weeks he has gained so much confidence and walks have gone from 1 block to 2 miles. Walking alongside another doggie has helped him but isn't necessary now.  Activity Level | Ditto is moderate energy. He is playful and active with other pups and is learning to play on his own with kongs, rope toys and balls. When not playing he loves to rest in the sun or on a comfy bed near his people.Health Notes | Up to date on vaccinations, Ditto is neutered and heathy!Thank you! Adoption Donations |  Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age.
