Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Hi there! My name was originally Kimberly, but I go by Angel now! I’m about 10 1/2 years old, and I’m probably a Lab/ Hound Mix. I’m very sweet and I love to get pets & attention — whenever you come home after a long day, just know I’ll be so happy and excited to see you! True to my Hound instincts, one of my favorite things to do is to sniff anything and everything out there! I like going on walks (about a mile), and you’ll usually find me with my nose to the ground the whole time! I love to explore the world! They tell me I’m extremely “food-motivated” and that I’d stop literally any behavior if I hear a treat bag open, and...that’s true, but can you blame me? Treats are great! I do love all kinds of food but especially my own food, and I tend to resource-guard, so I like having my own designated space. I’m not really interested in chewing on things (toys or otherwise), except for treats! I’d love to be the only dog in my forever home, but I can get along with other dogs, and have been around small kids for most of my life (and done great with them!). I do really well in a crate for bedtime overnight or while you’re out of the house (and I like hanging out there during the day sometimes too!), it’s my safe space. ** Angel has completed her heartworm treatment and is doing really well! She’s back up to full energy and wants to explore the world! She will be complete her board and train  on March 17th.  This is perfect time for her to join her new forever family.  Her ideal forever home will have other playful dogs, older kids (as she still jumpy), a home who is committed to spending time training her and keeping her socialized. She is briefly hesitant to new people and easily surprised. She loves cuddling and belly rubs once she gets her playtime in. Does great with other dogs, will chase foster kittens. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. We call him Gus Gus. Gus and his sister were found in an abandoned lot in Detroit living outside, braving the elements. He was so grateful to be rescued and are now looking for his permanent family. Gus is a sweet and lovable young guy. He’s doing great on house training and crate training. He would much rather be right next to you, but he goes in his crate with little complaint and spends the night quietly. Gus is very interested in the cat and will give chase but seems to be more interested in playing than anything else. Gus is still young and puppyish so he does like to chew. He’s easily redirected to chew on his own toys but will get into other things if they’re left accessible to him. He is medium energy, meaning that he loves to play with people and other dogs, but settles down nicely. He likes other dogs and his easy-going after a proper introduction. Gus likes to go outside and play with the other dogs but he doesn’t like to be out there too long and never wants to spend another cold night outside.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Want some puppy love? I could be a good fit for you and your family. I was rescued from DACC by my foster mom and would love to find my forever home.  Although I am just a baby I am pretty well potty trained. That doesn’t mean I won’t have accidents. When I have a friend to play with I just want to play and play forgetting I may need to use the bathroom. Which sometimes leads to accidents. But when I’m not playing I am sure to let you know when I need to go.  I love to sleep in bed with my family but am able to sleep in my crate when needed. I tend to be very energetic but then calm down and sleep for a while. It’s the perfect balance.  I would do best with a family with more than just me in the home petwise, maybe a younger playmate so I don’t get lonely. I'm very curious about cats but haven't been formally introduced to one yet. I like playing with bones and toys! Though I am still learning that stuffed animals are not toys too! I need a family who is patient and willing to teach me what and what not to do because I am just a baby. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Puck is ready for his forever family to find him! It is hard to believe we rescued him from euthanasia a month ago. He had ear infections, was underweight, and smelly. He not only smells better he such happy healthy boy now! Puck is approximately 1 year old and full of puppy energy. We have found him to be so sweet and funny. He loves to play and eat. Puck is very strong on his leash but we working on that. We are amazed how smart he is, as he is picking up new skills quickly. We have taught him around, which means if he is wrapping his leash around a tree or sign, we say around, and he unwinds himself. He is fully housebroken and is crate trained. Puck would be a great addition to any family but we believe a fenced-in yard would be best for him. He is current on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, please let me introduce myself, my name is Sarah and I am a Lab/Jack Russell Terrier. I am house trained and crate trained, and love to go on walks and sniff around a securely fenced backyard.  Did I tell you that its me that pick all the tomatoes from the plants in the yard ? I am also spayed and have had all of my shots. Sarah was abused by her first human family, so she finds it hard to trust new people and has fear aggression. It will take time to gain Sarah's trust and multiple meetings.  She needs an owner that can give her guidance (and plenty of treats) in situations when she feels insecure. After meeting a trainer Sarah have improved a lot and she responds to her special verbal command.  A training class would be a great adventure for Sarah and her new family. She will excel and perform as an A-student, she likes to learn and is eager to please. Building a relationship with Sarah will be time well spent, once she has overcome her insecurity and fear she is a GREAT active, loyal, and loving dog.  Please come and meet me,  I need is a chance to find my permanent home. Older children only pleas e.    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.  Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. I was born around 1/1/13. I am very sweet and still love to play for my age. I am fully potty trained. I do not need to be in a crate as I am a very good girl. I like cats and seem fine with other dogs. I have been fine with children as well.

Story
Arlo is a male 9 month old Labrador retriever. He is purebred however I don’t have papers for him. He isnt fixed yet, and he also has dew claws on his back paws that haven’t been removed yet. He’s a playful pup and lives with me and my husband and our 4 young children under 9. He gets along very well with our kids, and he has three dog friends that live next-door that he goes to play with daily. He is up-to-date on the shots, is house trained, and sleeps in a crate at night. We are looking to rehome him because shortly after bringing him home, we discovered my husband is allergic and it’s triggering asthmatic episodes for him.

He was left behind when his owners moved out. Very affectionate. He looks like a goofy, kind of floppy hound dog as he ambles around. He’s sweet and affectionate. Gets along with most dogs. He’s a little bossy with food especially with a timid dog. Feeding in a crate solves that. Loves his play time in the yard with two stout dogs. He’s a bit of a digger, but too lazy to do it in earnest. Great on a leash. The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering.
