Story
Hii 👋🏼 my name is Walter but my foster mom likes to call me Wally! 🔆 I am estimated to be around 2 years old and guessed to have a little bit of bully, lab, and dachshund in me. 🌵I’ve been learning how to walk on a leash! I love to go on walks and cuddle up with my foster mom. 🔆 I do not react to other dogs on my walks, but if I see a squirrel or bunny rabbit I will pull and try to chase after them. 🌵I love to play fetch in the backyard and would do well in a family with a fenced in yard! 🔆 My foster mom introduced me to other dogs and I loved playing with them 🐶 🌵 I do well in my crate, but I would prefer to be left out and snuggled up on the couch or my doggy bed. 🔆 I’m fully potty trained and haven’t had a single accident! Walter will make the best addition to someone looking for a loving, active, playful dog! 🤗 Apply to adopt Walter at underdogrescueranch.com/adopt

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, please let me introduce myself, my name is Sarah and I am a Lab/Jack Russell Terrier. I am house trained and crate trained, and love to go on walks and sniff around a securely fenced backyard.  Did I tell you that its me that pick all the tomatoes from the plants in the yard ? I am also spayed and have had all of my shots. Sarah was abused by her first human family, so she finds it hard to trust new people and has fear aggression. It will take time to gain Sarah's trust and multiple meetings.  She needs an owner that can give her guidance (and plenty of treats) in situations when she feels insecure. After meeting a trainer Sarah have improved a lot and she responds to her special verbal command.  A training class would be a great adventure for Sarah and her new family. She will excel and perform as an A-student, she likes to learn and is eager to please. Building a relationship with Sarah will be time well spent, once she has overcome her insecurity and fear she is a GREAT active, loyal, and loving dog.  Please come and meet me,  I need is a chance to find my permanent home. Older children only pleas e.    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This is Finn, one of our newest arrivals at the Mikey & Me kennels in Chelsea for Happy Days Rescue. Finn is a Lab/Mountain Cur mix, he’s 2 years old, and he weighs 41#. He’s a very sweet, quiet, and friendly dog. When Finn first arrived, he was afraid of meeting new people, and he would cower to protect himself while we leashed him up for his walks. But over the last three months, Finn has worked very hard to regain his trust in people and he has been doing quite well with our 40+ person volunteer team. Finn has never snapped at anyone or done anything wrong, even when he was scared. We took Finn to the Vet for all of his vaccinations, a physical exam, heart worm test, and he has been neutered. Finn is at a healthy weight for his size and he’s been eating well since his arrival. He loves riding in the car now and he becomes excited when he encounters another friendly dog. Because of Finn’s fear of change, I am looking for someone who would like to start bonding with him out here and building his trust with the hope of adopting him once he’s feeling more confident and prepared to make the transition. We’ve seen other dogs come in just as afraid as he is and, based on those experiences, it’s just a matter of time until he will come around in a new home. We will commit to investing the time to bring Finn to your home for short visits until he feels confident enough to stay. If you would like to meet Finn with the hope of adopting him, please message me through the Mikey & Me Community FB page. Or you can submit an adoption application under Finn’s name at happydaysdogandcatrescue.org and, once approved, I will reach out to you to coordinate a meet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Goofy! This sweet boy was abandoned and left outside to fend for himself after the family home burned down and they moved on.  Goofy came into care injured; the injury believed to be sustained from the house fire.  He is receiving vet care and lots of TLC now.  Goofy did test positive for heartworm disease and has started on a treatment regimen.   Treatment is a long process and Goofy cannot be neutered until his heartworm treatment is completed. Goofy will need a quiet environment where he can rest and heal.  Do you have room in your heart and home for this senior pup?     Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Sprout, our newest resident at the Mikey & Me Kennels for Happy Days Rescue. Sprout appears to be a Golden Lab Mix, he’s just one year old, and he weighs 66.3 pounds. He has a very soft coat and the sweetest personality. Sprout absolutely loves meeting new people and other dogs. Our Vet’s office coined him as “the melting dog” because he gently goes to the ground in anticipation of meeting a new friend or having a new adventure. Sprout was found as a stray in early April, trying his best to fend for himself. He has now been fully vaccinated, he tested negative for Heart Worm disease on 5/14, and he is on monthly HW prevention as well as flea/tick medication. Sprout has an appt. to be neutered on June 11th. To be fair, we do have an interest in adopting Sprout by one of our long-time volunteers. This, of course, will depend on how he does at his Meet & Greet with one of our former residents named Rusty. In case he is still available for adoption, please consider submitting an adoption application under his name at happydaysdogandcatrescue.org. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Want some puppy love? I could be a good fit for you and your family. I was rescued from DACC by my foster mom and would love to find my forever home.  Although I am just a baby I am pretty well potty trained. That doesn’t mean I won’t have accidents. When I have a friend to play with I just want to play and play forgetting I may need to use the bathroom. Which sometimes leads to accidents. But when I’m not playing I am sure to let you know when I need to go.  I love to sleep in bed with my family but am able to sleep in my crate when needed. I tend to be very energetic but then calm down and sleep for a while. It’s the perfect balance.  I would do best with a family with more than just me in the home petwise, maybe a younger playmate so I don’t get lonely. I'm very curious about cats but haven't been formally introduced to one yet. I like playing with bones and toys! Though I am still learning that stuffed animals are not toys too! I need a family who is patient and willing to teach me what and what not to do because I am just a baby.
