They love people, enjoy snuggles, and are full of typical puppy playfulness. They’re smart, curious, and eager to please — a great combination for training!   Training & Needs:These babies are still learning the basics, including potty training, but they’re quick learners with consistent routines. Like all puppies, they’ll need continued socialization, patience, and lots of love as they grow.   Great With:   Families Other dogs Anyone looking for a big, lovable companion   If you’re looking for a fluffy best friend who will grow into a loyal, gentle giant, one of these sweet pups might be the perfect match for your home!  Puppies are NOT housebroken and should not be expected to wait more than 1 hour for each month of age to go out to potty. Please make sure that you have a “potty plan” in place if considering adoption. All of our puppies have been spay/neuter, wormed, microchipped, and given age appropriate vaccinations. Story
Please share! Moss is a sweet lab-mix boy with a ton of personality. He's pretty doggone cute, too. His coat looks brown in some light and black in others, and he has an adorable nubbin of a tail. And those airplane ears? Be still my heart. Moss is about eight years old and 65 pounds--perfection! This guy lights up when he plays with his dog friends, so much so that we think Moss would benefit from having another dog in his new home. His favorite toys have squeakers (yay!), and he'll play fetch with you and chase with his dog buddy. When it's cold outside, Moss likes to cuddle up and rest his head on your lap. During the summers, though, he can be found rolling in the grass and sunbathing. No matter the season, he appreciates butt scritches and belly rubs from his people. Moss is incredibly smart. He knows how to sit, stay, come, look at me, touch (your hand or a post-it placed somewhere), shake, lay down, and find it). Moss is very treat motivated, so teaching him new things will be a breeze. He likes to be challenged with puzzles where food is the reward. (We're with you on that one, buddy.) Young kids make Moss nervous, so he'd prefer an adult-only home if you don't mind. Please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 about making Moss part of your family. He's in the Kansas City area, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection #adoptdontshop #adoption #adopt #adoptashelterpet #adoptme

Story
This gorgeous girl is June Bug, our friend from The Rescue Project. She's a lab mix and about three years old. But more importantly, she's a happy girl is so much fun! June Bug isn't just pretty. She has the smarts, too! She's very willing to work for people she likes (and food, she's willing to work for food). June Bug particularly enjoys showing people that she knows shake with both paws, as she's perfected that skill, and knows she'll get ... food! She likes learning new things, so go ahead and teach her all the fun stuff to help keep her mind busy. June Bug can be cautious around new people and things, but give her a chance and show her you're one of the kind, good humans. She'll love you to the moon and back and show you her snuggly, goofy side. She is worth your time, we promise. June Bug is looking for an adult-only home with a fenced yard, as kids can be loud and scary and apartments aren't going to work for her. She needs to be the only pet in her new home. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information. June Bug is staying in the KC metro, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection #JuneBug #LabMix #DogTraining #DogLovers #RescueDog #AdoptDontShop #KCmetro #DogRescue

Story
Meet Bobby Brady, our friend with City of Raytown Animal Services! Here’s the story… of a lovely puppy… who was bringing all his wiggles into the house! Bobby Brady is the baby of the bunch—just 8 months old, about 45 lbs, and already showing off that whole-body wag that makes you feel like you’ve got your own personal pep squad. Like his TV namesake, Bobby’s a little shy at first, but give him a minute and he’s all in for cuddles, zoomies, and maybe even a halftime snack during football season. He’s been learning how to walk on a leash (slow but steady—just like Bobby learning to skateboard!) and is making friends with new dogs one sniff at a time. He seems to be housebroken, kennels well, and is ready to bring his big puppy heart into your home. Bobby Brady and two other pups were abandoned and left to fend for themselves, but thanks to love and care at Laurel Pet Resort, their groovy personalities are shining through. He’s available for foster or adoption, and he can’t wait to find his forever family. So—who’s ready to add this Brady kid to their family photo? Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more info. He's in the Kansas City metro, but transport is available to the right home.

Story
Meet Piper, our friend with City of Raytown Animal Services! She's a 7-month-old chocolate lab mix who is silly and loving! This girl is dog-friendly, is learning to be around cats, and loves people of all ages, but she is learning not to jump up on them. She's still a puppy, so she's learning a lot of things! She keeps her kennel clean, loves belly rubs, and will try to do just about anything for a treat. If you would like to meet her, please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387. She's in the Kansas City metro, but transport might be available to the right home
